I think Cat's kicking efficiency was probably the sole reason why their key forwards didn't do much, it was atrocious, gys like Lever who plug the holes will always get marks. Does anyone know the disposal efficiency of both sides? One thing that stood out to me and nothing to do with Lever was how quick you can score when not over hand balling the bloody thing, kicking moves it quicker and puts pressure on the opposition. Funnily, the last 3 sides left play this attacking style that kicking as a way to move the ball quickly, GWS Rich and ADEL. Compare that to our rubbish slop chop around packs and we have a bit to work on. Also does anyone have the kick to h'ball ratio for the crows? I think that's how I'd like to see the Dee's move the ball going forward.

And I still would NOT pay two first rounders for them, I would for Rance though. Two first rounders are for Rance, Josh Kelly, Dangerfield or Jeremy Cameron, not Jake Lever.
-
Agree.

Lol, now you guys are comparing him to McGovern! Did Gibson go for 2 first rounders? And would McGovern? No and No.
-
Exactly and thats why we shouldn't pay overs. As for Gibson, more often than not he played on all the key forwards and was predominately a KPP. Also, I have watched Lever every game this year, my wife is a Crows supporter and rate him highly, but he isn't worth 2 first rounders.
-
This is exactly the reason I don't think we should pay overs, he isn't a CHB at all. He's a floater and intercept player who plays loose in defence. He will never be a key position player so we, as a club, need to be careful/mindful what we pay him and give up for him. On last nights game, he isn't worth two first rounders nor one of our kids. He's worth pick 10 and that's it. He also doesn't have great skills either. What he does bring is consistency, leadership and reliability, but that isn't worth two first round picks IMO.

I'm told by a friend that Jack likes to frequent Southbank area on week nights and on weekends, ie; likes a beer and social life. I think that's who Jack is, a nice guy who loves life. If his heart isn't in it for AFL by now it will never be unfortunately. A late 2nd or 3rd round pick is what we'd be looking at I think. So much talent but doesn't have the heart. I'm not sure if this is what Jones is alluding to either in regards to preparation etc. Jack just seems like a nice version of Nick Kyrgios. Talent to burn, but no desire.

Dennis Commetti is a Dee's supporter from memory, unsure if it's been said.

As silly as this sounds, I think Watts' best position is ruck, he plays well there when he's put there. Probably a case of he cant hide and has to work, hence getting the best out of him.
-
Definitely looked that way didn't it DC, he was going to contests but loping along.

Gawn is one who I would trade and get maximum value at his peak (like a share). Not sure how his knees are going to hold up but interestingly our form dropped off after his return, unsure why? The mobile ruckmen of the comp quite often dominate him also.

I don't and I won't. As I said, I had a mate call me and tell me so then went searching for the article for others. I still wouldn't be surprised to see Hoges go home due to what's happened this year, but I want him to stay. Poor lad, not too many his age would've been through that. Tough kid

Who's Lachie Weller anyway? Lol ?
-
Wasnt SportingNews, was from this website, just had it sent to me. http://aflworld360.com/crows-dockers-demons-consider-3-way-trade/

That was different to what I was told anyway.

"If rumours that Jesse Hogan wants to head to WA are true then the full forward could easily get the required currency for Melbourne, while Jake Stringer should also provide another early selection for the Dogs.Collingwood may need to get more creative, possibly moving their third rounder up if Alex Fasolo should ask for a trade closer to the support of family and friends in the west. The fact the Pies hold the earliest current pick of the known suitors could be crucial. While the process will doubtlessly get a lot more complicated, these could be the basics of how Lever’s price could be paid:Melbourne: Out - Jesse Hogan, pick 10. In - Jake Lever, Lachie Weller, pick 35.Adelaide: Out - Jake Lever, pick 35. In - Picks seven and 10.Fremantle: Out Pick seven, Lachie Weller. In - Jesse Hogan." Thats from SportingNews.

Unsure mate, if you saw it too then at least my mate isn't telling porkies. If it's SportingNews then just throw it in the bin, they are that mob with Kim Raghorn or whatever his name is hey?

Fremantle get Hogan Adelaide get pick 5 Dees get Lever (and pick 16 from Crows). ???
-
A mate called me today and said he read it somewhere, at the beach will have a look when I get home mate but probably garbage as I said.
-
Some reports that Hogan wants to go home and a 3 way trade is being negotiated by Fremantle, Dees and Adelaide which would see - Fremantle get Hogan Adelaide get pick 5 Dees get Lever As I've said weeks ago, it wold not surprise me to see Hogan go home after the year the poor kid has had. But I don't believe this report is true, I guess we will watch this space. If that were to happen I'd want Adelaide's pick 16 in exchange also.

Brayshaw to take HBF position and Salem to the wing. He's one of the few that can kick. He can play the "Gaff" role (if fit).
