Only way to fix the mess the afl created is merge Stk/NM plus bris/Gold Coast. Too many teams, not enough talent and GWS have been fed while lowly teams bottomed out. they say the population is growing but country footy is stuffed in many states, tas is a good example. Maybe more kids are switching to soccer. Many leagues and associations at country level are amalgamating

I don’t think anyone means what they actually say, heat of the moment stuff and comes from years of disappointment. It’s hard not to imagine Cotch and Basha being anything less and good footballers to go with it. Once we start winning regularly I’m sure it’ll all settle down.

It doesn’t just happen with the players either, plenty of supporters turn nasty on each other, there’s a few well known condescending, bullying types in here too who won’t accept others opinions. A good wake up call industry wide I reckon

Agree with Jake, we all get heated and passionate so need to be respectful. I too quit social media apart from demonland as it was dragging me down and I don’t even play! No Facebook or Twitter anymore for me. Twitter is shocking, so many trolls and then you have journalists stoking the fire also. But shouldn’t the club be educating the players to stay off social media, I’ve heard other clubs do so they should at least be monitoring it. it was great to see Jake find some good form v Tigers, arguably our best. He’ll be a 10 year player and I don’t think he’ll let us down.

It’s hard isn’t it, I travel 2hrs to get to most Melb games and also fly to PERTH games. I’ve wasted so many weekends I’m starting to feel sick about it. Love the club and obviously want it to succeed but wasting weekends because of it. Reason I’m annoyed at the moment is we’ve gone backwards in a big way and our skills are atrocious, I’m also very suspicious that there’s something not right within the four walls at the moment. Which I’m also sick of. Will go to bombers game but if we lose I’m taking some time off, especially if we dish up the same rubbish as the last 27 weeks. The headless chook game plan is just dumb and every supporter here can bloody see it, why so hard for coaches to fix.
