Just about my favourite place to eat in Footscray! lamb skewers and dumplings.Although we are spoilt for choice in the inner West. On the jumper, as long as it's red and blue I don't care I will follow it.

Some good comparative players there pennant. All are 'in between' size, competent footballers who are all susceptible to inexplicable brain fades. But all play an important role in their respective (generally stable) backlines. -
Lions Jets Chargers Tough week this week! then again they probably all are judging by our cumulative scores...

Last (this) years pre-season draft, to show its virtual irrelevance nowadays: First round 1. Bret Thornton 3. Sam Colquhoun 6. Will Hams 8. Jack Hannath 10. Nick Joyce 11. Kurt Tippett Second round 12. Dean Brogan 14. Jesse Crichton

Laud the young, lambast the old. This is such an easy argument on here. Lets have a look at the stats shall we? Disposals per game Avg (2013): Gawn 8.9. Jamar 8.1 Marks: Gawn 2.9 Jamar 2.3 Tackles: Gawn 2.5 Jamar 3.1 Hitouts: Gawn 18.6 Jamar 33.1 (Spencers were 10.0, 3.1, 2.4 and 26.6) Neither of these two are setting the world on fire now, are they? There's a negligible difference between both of them, other than the chief responsibility of the ruckman, to win hitouts, where Jamar is way ahead. I cant find hitouts to advantage figures anywhere but I'd hasten to suggest both's are pretty low by league standards. Gawn may be a character off the field, but showed fairly stilted development this year. Spencer shows desperation and enthusiasm, but still doesnt look a natural. Jamar is ageing and slowing, but for Round 1 still our best bet.

Fractured collarbone for Rogers, no timetable of a return given. I see that the Pack have also placed Jermichael Finley on season-ending IR. Plenty of injury concerns down there. The logical replacement would be newly free-agented Flynn. Seneca Wallace underwhelmed in this game at key moments, as opposed to McCown. He was very comfortable out there, surprisingly for such a journeyman who if memory serves, did the preseason games with the Niners. The question then becomes, after 2 road wins at the helm, does he keep his job when Cutler returns? Always very odd seeing a game with two non-starter QBs at the helm, but it was a good game to watch. How bad is the situation at the Dolphins? What a lowlife Incognito is. Questions now need to be asked about the Dolphins handling of the whole issue, the whole hazing culture in that side seems out of control.

The players have been enjoying a public holiday every Queens Birthday the last few years, they clearly didnt turn up to work! -
This includes the Under 19s and reserves, as you can see the years at MFC are listed as 83-86, yet he played in the 83 U19 Flag side....

How much football have Demonland members played?
DemonDave replied to Nasher's topic in Melbourne Demons
Overlooked as a Zone Selection player by Richmond in the 1980s, I struggled to play any kind of meaningful football outside of a handful of appearances in final two years of high school footy. ie, Zero games anywhere of any note whatsoever. I am however,a veteran of more than 500 AFL games as a spectator. -
Not enough cover for tall defenders Too many NQR midfielders (how many of Bail, Barry, Evans and Nicholson would get a game at Footscray?) No small forward.
-
And West Coast plummeted down the ladder. Coincidence? They are not going to say 'Not good enough, too slow, good riddance!' Next.

Here's one for you fans of the only undefeated team in the league right now (odds on that 3 months ago?):

OK, Ive had a gutful of getting 2 out of 3 most weeks, quite often MNF cruelling my chances of a precious point. Rarely pick my own team, superstitious reservations aside this week I have no choice: Niners, Steelers, Seahawks I cant believe we're up to week 8 already, seriously we're on the cusp of the halfway mark! In some ways I love the succinctness of the NFL 16 game schedule, as a direct contrast to watching the Dees after about Round 8 every year knowing theres 14 more lousy onesto go. But another part of me could watch this game for 24-28 weeks of the year, its always interesting!

No complaints here Gorgoroth! haha! This week for mine: Bears, Patriots, Chargers Colts-Broncos promises to be the most interesting game of the week...

One of the biggest spuds Ive ever seen, both figuratively and literally. Watched a few VFL games he played in, especially the one against Casey where the amount of disposals he got was made totally redundant by his butchering of almost every one of them. It made some of our washed up hacks that played that day look like Travis Johnstone skills wise. I loved it that Blues fans would always ring up SEN complaining he wasnt getting a game 'he plays like Kouta' they'd whine.

Looks like Alex Smith is putting up pretty similar numbers to what he was early last year at the Niners Pantaloons. He will continue to flourish at KC I think
