Overlooked as a Zone Selection player by Richmond in the 1980s, I struggled to play any kind of meaningful football outside of a handful of appearances in final two years of high school footy. ie, Zero games anywhere of any note whatsoever. I am however,a veteran of more than 500 AFL games as a spectator.

Not enough cover for tall defenders Too many NQR midfielders (how many of Bail, Barry, Evans and Nicholson would get a game at Footscray?) No small forward.

And West Coast plummeted down the ladder. Coincidence? They are not going to say 'Not good enough, too slow, good riddance!' Next.

OK, Ive had a gutful of getting 2 out of 3 most weeks, quite often MNF cruelling my chances of a precious point. Rarely pick my own team, superstitious reservations aside this week I have no choice: Niners, Steelers, Seahawks I cant believe we're up to week 8 already, seriously we're on the cusp of the halfway mark! In some ways I love the succinctness of the NFL 16 game schedule, as a direct contrast to watching the Dees after about Round 8 every year knowing theres 14 more lousy onesto go. But another part of me could watch this game for 24-28 weeks of the year, its always interesting!

No complaints here Gorgoroth! haha! This week for mine: Bears, Patriots, Chargers Colts-Broncos promises to be the most interesting game of the week...

Keep forgetting to submit my tips! This weeks: Pats, Broncos, Chargers

One of the biggest spuds Ive ever seen, both figuratively and literally. Watched a few VFL games he played in, especially the one against Casey where the amount of disposals he got was made totally redundant by his butchering of almost every one of them. It made some of our washed up hacks that played that day look like Travis Johnstone skills wise. I loved it that Blues fans would always ring up SEN complaining he wasnt getting a game 'he plays like Kouta' they'd whine.

Looks like Alex Smith is putting up pretty similar numbers to what he was early last year at the Niners Pantaloons. He will continue to flourish at KC I think

What a clusterfunk that site squabble has become! I used to post there but forgot my login and that therefore became the end of my interest in it. At least the header page no longer has us playing Hawthorn then the dogs!

Broncos Lions Saints for me this week! New England look they still have a bit of work to do to be a force. Brady clearly missing Gronk, Welker and Hernandez. Geno Smith would have to be the most overrated rookie in years, 3 INTS!

Events of the past couple of weeks show we are not the only ones having had to make tough calls on favorite sons careers being ended before they thought their time was up Reference: Cross, Daniel. Didak, Alan. Jolly, Darren. Its a tough ruthless business nowadays. I wish Junior the best of luck, he doesnt owe us anything, and nor do we with him.

Thats 7 off the list plus one rookie. I wouldnt expect too many more. Jetta/Tapscott possibilities off the main list and Magner/Clisby off the rookie list maybe?

So how about the 35 odd other players that finished behind Terlich and Jones in this years B&F? Are they all failures as footballers too? A ridiculous statement! Col finished fourth for posessions this year, and second in tackles for us. If that doesnt equate to 'putting in' then he will never be able to please people on here no matter how well he plays. I guess I can read the Lynden Dunn thread for the same sweeping conclusions as well. Getting an award at the B&F night for his work in the community says to me that Sylvia is finally starting to gain the maturity and understanding of what it is to be a respected footballer. If we continue to give away our best players to better teams because theres something we dont like about them, we'll end up with a team full of Tapscotts and James Strauss', non-offensive, anonymous, completely ineffectual footballers.

Started off the year disappearing for large chunks of the game, only averaging a handful of disposals, but the later the year went the better he became, in terms of being a presence in the game for longer. His pace, strength and booming left foot are definitely his unique assets that will make him so valuable going forward. Is a genuine 60-70 metre player. Look forward to a continued improvement next year...

Who is Brent Maloney? FFS how many times does this need to be pointed out to people? I voted none of the above, we need to look forward not backwards...

With no Ray Lewis, no Ed Reed and no Anquan Boldin, amongst others, I think the Ravens will struggle if they dont get back to their ultra defensive ways. Flacco also now has to justify that huge new contract he signed..

Given we have Roos, what about the flying KangaRoos, Qantas?

Wow. Glad you arent on match committee or casting votes in the B&F. Dunn missed 5 games yet still finished above more lauded teammates. How about a bit of recognition for Dunnys improvement and best ever effort in this award?
