POSTGAME: Rd 12 vs St. Kilda
All that may be true, But he is still correct. We need to end the AS disaster ASAP.

Aidan Johnson Cops 2 Match Ban
It really is.....The AJ hit is worse than the Mills one IMO. Mainly because NWM has possession, disposes of the ball, THEN is hit high. Its border line, but Mills jumps when the ball is still somewhat in dispute. Both are no good and deserve suspension, but I understand why AJ's is graded as worse. I guess it could be argued each way, but suggesting MFC is getting picked on, or treated harsher than other clubs is just more Demonland victimhood.

POSTGAME: Rd 12 vs St. Kilda
It's infuriating isn't it. But also quite revealing. How can we expect them to address a problem if they don't acknowledge there is one.

GAMEDAY: Rd 12 vs St. Kilda
They all need a kick up the backside but boy does May need a bloody rev up. I'd be telling him Macca's coming for his spot if he doesn't get his head in the game. Tbf, Macca has been better than him all year.

POSTGAME: Rd 11 vs Sydney
Lindsey was absolutely cooked by the last, Works bloody hard and uses it superbly. GUN! Windsor and Langford just as exciting!

Luke Jackson back to Victoria?
Offering players that Freo don't want or need isn't going to get it done. My guess is that if this happens it will be simple..... Koz for Dogga.

Trade Targets
I've been keen on him for a while now, so happy to hear we are into him. Super versatile and great boot. It would be like adding another Rives to the list, allowing us to push Riv/Windsor/Mcvee further up the ground or into the midfield. Problem is, he wouldn't been cheap.....

GAMEDAY: Rd 08 vs West Coast
12 of them don't have a F*&%#ing Tackle at half time.

The Logan Morris Thread
The problem is, I don't recall a player ever doing this. Does anyone have any examples of it? I believe you cannot teach/train a player to really improve intensity, hardness and general competitiveness. You either have it or you don't. We should be looking to trade him for what ever we can get at the end of the season before he just becomes completely valueless. Trade him now for hopefully a late 2nd or keep him on this list for 3-4 more years and delist him. Easy decision IMO. Same for Fullarton.

GAMEDAY: Rd 07 vs Richmond
They have competed about the same so far.

Time to go Goody?
If he had the ability to do so, he would have "fixed this" by now. Or at least we would see positive signs. He is just not up to it, and should be shown the door. The bloke and his outdated snooze-fest tactics/Gameplan are killing our club, and he has undone our past 6-7 year revival IMO. I actually think it would be better for him personally too. It cant be good for anyone having this much pressure and stress hanging over you whilst you try to fumble your way to success in a role that you are not capable of.

Time to go Goody?
The only thing that will "shut people up" is winning. We lose this week, it all gets worse.

PRESEASON TRAINING: Wednesday 5th February 2025
Thanks guys, appreciate the feedback. Proof will be in the pudding it seems!

PRESEASON TRAINING: Wednesday 5th February 2025
Thanks for the report mate! This really worries me, it doesn't sound like much has changed in our gameplan. Which if true, will be extremely disappointing. Doesn't matter who we add or remove from the best 23 if the gameplan is still as ineffective, boring and predictable as it has been the past few years..... I guess the practice matches will be our real fist chance to see how we have evolved, but have any of the regular track watchers noticed a substantial shift in the way we attack/move with the ball?

The Go Home Factor
My original statement..... " I don't mean completely ignore them(interstate draftees), but we should be prioritizing Vic kids IMO" Your responses: You are both wither intentionally straw manning me or both need to invest in a dictionary and look up the word PRIORITISE. Either way, I stand by my views on how we should approach our list management moving forward.
-
The Go Home Factor
Limiting the chances of players wanting to go home is not "being Insular" is called being pragmatic and objective as to address an issue. With all the talk of Kozzi wanting to go home I would be shocked if these discussions are not happening internally with the list management team at the club.
-
The Go Home Factor
Neither of those lines contradict what I said. 'draft for talent, trade for need' - Ok, but prioritize drafting Vic Talent whenever possible.... And by doing so are we not "managing" the chances of go home factor?
-
The Go Home Factor
I feel like we need to start avoiding interstate players whenever possible. I don't mean completely ignore them, but we should be prioritizing Vic kids IMO. Especially top end picks. The constant speculation surrounding our club and players going home hurts us in so many ways. And for those who think "it goes both ways"....It really doesn't. If a top end talent wants to come back to VIC, we are competing against another 10 clubs to attract them and as much as it hurts to say... we are at the bottom lists when it comes to desired destinations. Even when we wont the flag we were not very desirable. If you take your Dees glasses off, why would a player pick the Dees over the Pies, Carlton, Cats etc. The bigger clubs are better place to hold onto interstate players too. Player movement is only going to increase as it has for the past 10 seasons or so, And an increase in trading doesn't help us in the slightest. We should be doing what the interstate clubs do and prioritize local talent.

Oliver Trade Rumours
We need a petition 🤣
- Time to go Gary Pert

Oliver Trade Rumours
I'll get shot down for this I'm sure, but if the Dees Trade Oliver to Geelong, I'll be done with this club. This is the first time in my 20 years as a member that I have even considered such a thing.

Trade Targets
He can certainly play! Would love him in the red a blue if possible. Not sure 5 years is necessary but maybe a 3+2 option deal....I would much rather chase players like this than old past it delisted players like Seb Ross, jack martin etc.

Trade Targets
Still interested in basically all of the young guns on this list. But I am now extra keen on Josh Ward. Proved on the weekend that when he gets to play in his preferred spot he has potential to be an A grade player. 22 Disposal (8 contested) and 9 Tackles from only 64% TOG. Had the most tackles on the ground and looks to have improved his physicality. With Will Day and McKenzie clearly the preferred options but out injured, he may be open to a club change. Secondly, With the new Dusty bombshell, we MUST knock on the door of GC for young Humphries. unlikely he will break into that midfield anytime soon and is wasted playing full time forward pocket. In: Ward, Humphries, Pick 5 (gun Mid). This would be a huge boost for not only our midfield but the overall youth and excitement surrounding the club. I don't no about you all, but seeing Ward, Humphries, Smillie/O'Sullivan joining current youth would make me super excited for round 1 This youth added to our current vets sets us up for the long haul but also allows us to compete now. Midfeild Group 2025: Trac, Oliver Viney, Rivers, Ward, Humphries, Pick 5. Plus the occasional cameo from Kozzy, Windsor, Mcvee & Kolt.
