  1. kinda reminds me a bit of byron - used goods with their best behind them. Not worth the crust they're paid.
  2. Carrying on with the crows theme - just read on footyheads that Shaun Rehn told SEN he's going to be putting his hand up too for our coaching job. No shortage of applicants is right. This is all getting a bit exciting, feel we're leading up to a melbourne cup or something, might have to go chuck some bucks on someone.
  3. I agree, think he's been a pretty good servent to Melbourne and reckon he deserves to go out with a bit of style, not Nicho style. Get him right for next year and he can still have an impact. We'll never see the consistency of early 00's again, espec 04, but here's hoping he still has a bit to give.
  4. How this man got a weekly column is beyond me. He must have some darn good editors working for him. Dunno if anyone saw his gripe last week, was about being prank-called fcs. That's not insight into anything, dry ya eyes aker, i don't give a rats.
  5. very sorry to hear Ash, thoughts are with you.
  6. According to the article on the MFC Danny Frawley is a chance of getting some game time! "Danny Frawley, Lynden Dunn and the yet-to-debut Simon Buckley are just a few players the coach mentioned were in the frame to spend time at AFL level with spots opening up thanks to a high injury toll out of Friday night’s loss to Essendon." I appreciate the AFL writes these pieces, but couldn't someone proof-read it?
  7. I was sitting on the opposite side of the ground and a long way up, but no i don't think he was. Its a big foggy though, i went and drowned my sorrows long and hard after the game.
  8. This is my favourite line re: Colin "Fatigued from a hard game of football on June 11 and a harder night of drinking, he slowly descended into alcohol-induced unconsciousness" oh and that he says colin is actually luckier than Alan in the strat of his rant. And then eludes that a heap of players were out and about, yet can't name anyone else? "After drinking at several venues, Melbourne and Collingwood stayers, including Didak and Sylvia." Im not going to read the entire article bc it goes for FIVE pages on teh web and im sick of the sight of it.
  9. press conference from collingwood on issue now on SEN
  10. Ahhh got 'cha. Hope there were no punch-ons Friday!
  11. Ash, I'm sure you've answered this question before, but why do you post on a Demon forum? Nothing against it, I am just a little baffled.
  12. His records pretty good - no sups since 01. I really don't care if he's sidelined or not, i just hope the Bombers get pantsed by the Cats. Can't hack them winning any more close ones.
  13. 1) Shane Wowodin, Jeff Farmer, Earl Spalding (could be longer than ten years tho), so... Clay Sampson (massive crush) 2)Jamar, Ward, Fergurson 3) Robbo, Neita, Brock
  14. The thing that stood out to me in neal's interview was he continually referred to the club as "our club" and "our club" has to do so and so, "we" have to do whatever in the future. He easily could have distanced himself from it and said "they, the boys, the board" have to do this that and the other, but he referred to it as a collective unit, with himself a part of it too and I liked that. I really think he is one of the better people of football. Time to fire tonight Demons. Im already feeling a bit queezy.
  15. Neal loves Doggy, so it's not really that suprising, but doesn't seem logical.
  16. freo's is that bloke who's had his mug in the news saying connolly will be finished if they don't make top 8 and bullies is smorgan isn't it. but really, it is irrelevant. i don't think it's been roses, richmond just quickened the process that was invariably coming.
  17. NO THOMAS! I cannot stand the man and if he failed to take st kilda to finals with the list he had a few years back, he ain't gonna pull a rabbit outta a hat with ours. He'd probably try and steal all of Gardner's bullion too.
  18. yeah probably, but 20-30 bucks more too.
  19. i booked today and got level 3 V. So might be more people than thought.
  20. It could be a possibility that Neal had a bit more time to think about the decision too and decided that there was little point going on. There's been a lot happening this week, so his initial decision could have been that of standing down, which then progressed to well sooner rather than later. Dunno, just a thought that it could have been two-way traffik there. The only reason this hasn't turned into a very ugly affair is bc of Neal's decision to stand down, otherwise it would have been a [censored]-fight to the end, and that's him alone, not the board and deff not gardner.
  21. Balme sounds like he has some bitterness there. Interesting as well bc most in the footy world have thrown their weight behind neal's decision, saying it was the admiral thing to do. Maybe Balme could learn a thing or two from him about putting the club before the individual.
  22. one of the assistants then, maybe not necc williams. i don't know.
  23. im not sure what the go is, i would have thought, if he goes at start of aug, Paul Williams will step in. I agree though, doens't seem like there's much sense in terminating his contract 5 weeks out from season end.
  24. yeah you're probably on it there, but im still interested to hear what he has to say. Hopefully the journos will go in hard on the issue and really push him for answers.
  25. yes, but im tipping the hot topic will be that of his future.
