  1. ummm, how's about booze or coke or ice or all three? you name it was probably pumping through benny's veins that night. Think we can all speculate on that one.
  2. I do like your positive spin on things, but I think it's a bit utopian at this stage. How's about we come back in four weeks and assess. We still haven't played four qs of footy and have a long way to go before this thought becomes a realistic possibility. We lose Mon and we can all together forget about it and as Jaded pointed out the wins in Adelaide and Subi have been few and far between adn with two games there, as well as one in Bris and Manuka it's not ideal. You'd think the 8 at this stage is made up as far as WC, Cats, Adelaide, Hawks (dang), Cwood (hiss), Sydney (even though out should get bk there). Then there's two spots which the dogs, bombers, roos, freo, power and apparently us are all vying for. Mathematically possible yes, but you're relying on a lot of other teams losing and at this stage being five games out it's pretty far fetched .
  3. www.realfooty.com.au then click on SLIDESHOW Demons finally record a win - sorry can't work out how to create a link. There's a short demon slide show from sat on the age website - some great snaps, got the pulse rate up reliving some of those moments again and am pumped for monday.
  4. With regards to the McPhee decision - That kind of thing does happen a bit, unfortunate it ended in a goal, but the swans wouldn't be so [censored] if they'd been on the other end of it. The thing that sucks for them is the Buchanan goal that shaved the top of the padding on the post - why is there padding 12mt high? If the padding wasn't there it would have certianly been a goal. Ah well, suck it up swans.
  5. robbery! thank god we don't have to play there this year. Although I do quite like the local footy feel of KP.
  6. I was there - but was there not a goal that we should have been allowed? Or might have been a mark to Jamar on the line, but they paid it a point. Can't quite remember as i was tanked in the outter and delerious from jumping around like a lunatic.
  7. Unfortunately Miller has become the guy demon supporters love to bag. Last wk demonologists were calling for his head despite teh fact the entire side played three shocking qs of footy. But from the ruble they decided it was mainly Brad's fault... A few weeks in people were saying the same crap about Bate - never mind the fact he was in his second year and still had a lot to learn. No one's bitching now. People seem to want instant coffee adn get peturbed by anything that might take a bit longer. As far as Miller is concerned though - some time in Sandy would probably do him some good, get the confidence right (something Melbourne fans probably didn't help the other week as they bronx cheered him every time he got the ball). Don't reckon anyone can question his endevor though.
  8. Yeah teh club pay him to bugel. When the boys and pretty much the entire football department were singing the song the bugler was bugling with them. Didn't catch a glimpse but you could hear him pumping it out as best as his cheeks would let him.
  9. swans fans went feral - mcphee speared a pass to mcveigh who goaled late in the piece, but mcphee was over the boundary line when he kicked it. Ump out of position (suprise suprise) to see though and the goal was counted. hee hee...
  10. His tackles on Welsh were phenomanol - amazing - in awe I am. And if I recall correctly he laid a similar one against a Port bloke, could have been Ebert? His last line of defence pressure is top notch.
  11. No, he can't kick. When he arrived on the scene he had mongrel and could kick (not the best going around, but could go further than 20mt). THe MFC has battered his mongrel out of him and I reckon he's getting direction from someone that his best option is to handball. For someone touted as potential captain, he's fallen a bloody long way.
  12. it wasn't the most marks ever? Well those triple m crew have got their facts wrong.
  13. Suprisingly, Robert Walls didn't mention Green's trade value on tens replay - tossaaaa..
  14. You ever thought of taking up motivational speaking? Couldn't agree more with you, when you love 'em so much it hurts you know it's real.
  15. Ripper day - 18 marks - the most a Melbourne player has ever taken. Here's hoping he puts in as stellar effort next week.
  16. Think he copped a pretty hard knock to his knee. Triple M was saying Neitz was limping but what does that bozo Brian Taylor know?
  17. About 2.80. Apparently there've been some plunges on the tioges and us. Two trips to Melb in a fortnight will hopefully have an impact on the crows.
  18. For what it's worth - West Coast - premiership fave have only smacked us this year and the blues. The Cats on the other hand have been making a mokery of pretty much every team they've beaten. Are you putting them in premiership contention? I just can't bring myself to do it. Altho would rather see them than any interstater. Some interesting stats though and you'd haev to think old Danner's has busted his white board out and gone over this slump a few times, but it's still happening Neal...
  19. - "It was the first time we’d had our full leadership group in the team since Round One, and they all made solid contributions." Interesting Neal has come out and said this after Jeff's quips on lack of leaders..
  20. http://www.news.com.au/adelaidenow/story/0...0-21543,00.html UNless they changed their minds and he played with the SANFL last weekend
  21. probably the best time to play these guys - lacking match time, fitness, confidence etc. Brown is the only one making his way bk through the reserves, so he'll have a few games under his belt, but the other two will be rusty.
  22. Is it possible we could keep our mugs out the paper for just one week? Or does every club have some sort of media commitments to fulfil in terms of players coming out and giving us the same old lines? Sick of hearing it and sick of my mates giving me stick, and Jeff White, wake up, you are our in our leadership group and in the centre of the flamming ground! Time to lead mate.
