Yep exactly. Bloody hard for the likes of BBB and JVR if the ball movement is slow and bombed in

POSTGAME: Rd 06 vs Richmond
Kade Chandler is showing him how it's done so far this season. Really impressed with his defensive efforts, hard running and getting to the fall of the ball. Maybe all of this contract stuff is getting a bit distracting for Koz? I'm sure he'll click sooner than later. He's just gotta keep his feet on the ground and be at the fall of the ball.

POSTGAME: Rd 06 vs Richmond
Viney and Max really lifted us in the third. Bowey had a great second half. Chandler is really making the most of it. Congrats to the lad. Showed Kozzy how it's done tonight. Hilarious that Goody said they had JVR ready to be subbed when he kicked that first goal. Great shut down game by pig. What's happened to our defensive game in the forward line? Goody used to bang on about it all the time. I think there were 6 mins left in the second before we applied a good tackle inside our 50 and Petty goaled. The ball has just been rebounding out for far too long now. Is May a bit crook? Lots to work on but a fantastic game. Well done to everyone who showed up. Great crowd. Has the MFC ever officially complained about umpiring? I can't remember a time in the past 40 years. Geez it was suss tonight.

CASEY: Rd 05 vs Richmond
I was very worried watching this game. Yes, TMac and BBB we're bog ordinary but our troubles seem to run deeper. 1. Teams seem to be pulling our game apart now at both levels. The put pressure on us and block the corridors and we're just panicking and blind kicking and bombing it long into our forward line. 2. We just look slow and tired this year. I Went to the lions game and we looked cooked. We looked flogged against Essendon last week at both levels. As I watch the Crows rise, I think we're missing Burgess. Our hard, two way running in waves is disappearing at both levels. Teams are getting the opportunity to cover us

How can "threads the needle" not be in the Dwayne bingo card? His commentary is as pleasant as listening to someone dry retching

PREGAME: Rd 06 vs Richmond
I've always found it interesting how the coaches tend to keep playing players who are out of form. But I kinda get it with TMac this week. He can be a huge asset for us if he's firing. I guess they're just giving him another chance to turn things around. I guess either he or JVR could get dropped for a while when BBB comes back in. I love the capabilities of all three. Hope they all fire up.

Tackling in the AFL
Totally agree. I think it's heading towards an international rules / gaelic footy model. Less contact, more running. I don't particularly like it but I think it's unavoidable. I feel sorry for those players who just lose their balance in a tackle and accidentally bring their opponent to ground. As usual the worse thing about it seems to be the media driving the agenda
