Yep, pretty sure it was. Inconsistency from the umps has to be the most frustrating part of our game at the moment. Just weird last night. Must drive the players insane.

Was at the game last night. Petracca had a pretty big collision with Viney in the second. He looked pretty sore and absolutely cooked after that. You'd watch him at stoppages with hands on hips looking wrecked. Then the ball would go up and he'd just hit the boost button again and will himself through the packs. Incredible. Geez Jacko and Bowey are just impressive kids. Kozzie thoroughly deserved that goal in the third. He'd worked his backside off through that quarter. A really grinding win but we had lots of those at the start of the year last year too. Keep banking the points boys.

Beautiful day on the Goldy so far today. Fingers crossed for a dry run at them and no stupid lightening stoppages as storms are predicted tonight. Doing some obligatory shopping with the other half before we head off for a long boozy lunch somewhere. Ubers pre-booked as public transport to Carrara is a hot mess. Go Dees

Having reviewed the Dangerfield vision, I'd have to say it's inconclusive. I.e. it must have been from about 2014 which was about the last time Patty was young enough to jump off the ground with both feet.

It's not just the soft free kick, I find it's also when and where they sometimes pay them. Where? Soft frees allowing the opposition a free shot a goal. When? When that team is getting belted. Sometimes I do wonder if those umps are just trying to even the game up.

I think I've got an insight to why Bevo was so upset here. Not only does the football cover up logos on his shirt but his right hand collar covers up the pal pedigree logo. He could pop his collar (which would suit him being the fence post he is) but both collars also have pal pedigree logos on them which would disappear when he pops it. He could end up in an endless infinity loop of trying to make sure everyone can see his pal logos before starting. Maybe someone needs to have a quiet word to him about getting a cushion to sit on at pressers and maybe a bag of dog food he can put on the desk to nibble on between questions.

Yeah, that was amazing. As we were getting beaten. "Smile boys, energy up!" Coaching from the sidelines and that postive re-enforceme from Goody was amazing. That first quarter smother by Kozzie was incredible. Viney at those centre bounces at the end of the third was incredible. Last quarter footage had me tearing up. Just beautiful watching the team on the sidelines once they knew they had it in the bag. Can't wait to be at the G tonight

Let's take a week to drive down to Melbourne For the granny rematch I said. We can stay at some nice b and B's and visit wineries I said. Ok, she said that sounds nice. Then all kinds of sh....t went down here in the northern Rivers We could still do a quick two day trip down. Catch the 5.30 out of Ballina and take you for a late supper in Fitzroy tonight I said. Ok she said, I know you love the Dees. Arrive at airport at 4.45, plane delayed by three hours. $10 a schooner and nowhere to sit in a packed lounge. Plane due to land about 11 tonight at Tullas (Thanks Deathstar). Off to the local bottlo, we're now in the airport car park drinking stubbies of Sapporo and eating salt and vinegar chips for dinner.watching the sunset through the car windscreen. she's a keeper

I'd agree with both of those ins and both blokes. They would be both super keen to cement a spot after last year. I reckon Tomlinson is going to be as bigger beast as Viney. So good to have this depth and hunger for spots.

So we're flying out of the mudhole that is northern NSW for the game. We're looking forward to taking a break after the last two weeks. We've got our barcodes for GA but no seat allocation by the looks. There's no way to book your seats by the looks. Just rock up and grab a set anywhere in GA. Is that how it works? I was wondering what happens if it's a sell out?

Yep, half the commentators call him Fritz. Hudson with his continual yelling drives me crazy as well. I just don't see the need for the continual hyperbolic rubbish. Just call the game and have some decent analysis commentary from the likes of Daisy.

I thought Lily Mithen had her best game of the year tonight too

About 15 inside 50s to North to one for us in the last quarter and we only conceded one goal. Great defensive effort. Great win Dees

Gotta love him. He can't help but talk about the Dees almost exclusively.

North really lifted their intensity that quarter. We're 17 points up but I'm worried we might drop this. I think it will be very close.

We dropped by one point then into the breeze. A pretty good quarter. Just listened to Zanker being interviewed then at the end of the half. Geez she was stuffed and really struggling for breath. I'm wondering if the spicy cough has got her a bit this year. She is such a good player for us and has been out of sorts all year.

A fair start I guess with the breeze. You'd want to be up at least two goals up. Just a shocking ground to play at most days. I'd be surprised if more than two goals get scored right of screen all night. Daisy is defence this quarter may be a good thing. Will help if Emma King doesn't get back on the field. Geez Bannon is fast. Great play at the end of the quarter.

I'd reckon they'll play with an extra back to try and block out Harris' run at the ball. Hopefully they'll swing Bannon into our forward line again. She's really rising in confidence and looking really damaging. Dare I say season defining? Big opportunity with Adelaide v Freo and us against Norf. Just need four quarters of our best footy. We'll beat any team with that.

Tend to agree about West but she is really improving in the guts now. It was great to see her kick a goal last night even though it was a wobbly kick. Maybe some more time with Chocco and his magic stripes? She's fantastic around the packs and is super tough with her body work. It's hard to see her getting dropped. I think she's is getting better but yeah, she looked to dish it off last night rather than kick when getting close to goal. If she can clean up that akward kicking, she'll be a great player for us.

Spot on @binman loved watching both Bannon and Goldy take on the game. I had the feeling if we just kept on running hard, we could tire them out last night. The chip game works well at a windy Casey, but we were exposed early with the Lions until we started running hard. I really liked the way the Lions would just hack the ball forward at any contest just to keep momentum going their way. I reckon we learnt and adjusted really well thorugh out the game. With Bannon going forward, it gave us great flexibility to drop Daisy back to steady the ship. I noticed a couple of times, she was encouraging Gillard along as well at stoppages. A pretty full on intro for the youngster. It's nice to have a skipper that's so versatile forward or back.
