PREGAME: Rd 03 vs Sydney
I think you've got to give Brisbane more credit. Their defensive pressure was excellent. They pushed us wide to kick long down the wings for a lot of the night. Made me twitch watching us revert to 2022 tactics. If we do the same early on against the Swans, I'll be curling up in a ball. Yes it was slippery and it was hot, but they should be super fit and be able to run hard. Most of the players looked incredibly flat and were letting their opponents run freely into space.

PODCAST: Selwyn Griffith Interview
I'd like to know his thoughts on nutrition. There's been a few different diets with players over the years How does it affect someone like BBB who is coeliac and vegan vs TMAC who eats a whole beast every week. What's his thoughts on players drinking alcohol, caffeine or junk food etc during the season. Do they monitor diets as part of players performance? Some good questions in this thread up above.

PREGAME: Rd 03 vs Sydney
There's been a lot of focus on Gawn's injury but watching TMac at the game on Friday. He looked so slow and proppy. Can we afford to rest him? Can we afford to risk playing him? I'm not confident at all that he's anywhere near fit. I wonder if he's going to come good at all this season. He's pretty vital to our campaign as well

POSTGAME: Rd 02 vs Brisbane
Yes I was there too. It wasn't just the midfield, we were incredibly loose in our defence. Loose lions players everywhere. The kicks to 2 lions on one Dee were terrible. We shouldn't take solace in the last ten minutes. The lions took the foot off our throat. Petty was sore through the second half Lever did his best. Fritsch and TMAC looked completely tired and lost. We're so lucky to have a fit Ben Brown. I really question the value of Harmes' and Melksham. They go alright when we're on a roll but just go missing when the pressure is on. Surely JVR has to get a run somehow. Chandler really tried hard tonight. I think we need to give JVR the same chance, even as sub to start. Gee that was hard to watch tonight.

Kysaiah Pickett on report
Geez McAdam lined him up from a long way out. I think we were right to just let it rest. Goody is right, the bump is dead. Koz does quite a lot of late tackles etc. I love watching him play but he's going to have to adjust his game. He can hurt blokes just by making them look like witches hats. He has the potential to bust open matches and break their hearts. Will be interesting to see how he handles being scragged, continually held and punched in the guts like Clarry when he's in the middle.

Mammoth Re-signing: 28 Demons Stay Loyal To Club
If Giant heads were so hard to get into the fooly, how do so many collingwood supporters keep turning up? 😉

Maybe get Mick Stinnear and the 28 AFLW Demon Players who just re-signed in one block to work on him 😁!

Mammoth Re-signing: 28 Demons Stay Loyal To Club
We've lost Daisy but geez I hope we've got Mick stitched up tight. I've mentioned it before, I think we should have him heavily involved in the men's program as well. It really is an incredible result. The grass is ALWAYS greener on the other side unless you're at the MFC! Well done to everyone involved. Demon Spirit! I hope Mick and Daisy would write a book about it one day. It's been a pretty rocky road to the top for this team.

Unfortunately the media will have a big say in the result. Nuffies on offsiders today calling for 3 to 4 weeks for Koz. Optics optics optics. They'll make an example of him I think. There is no consistency. Saying that, he should have stayed low and kept his feet on the ground. He should get 1 to 2. I reckon he'll get 3 to 4 due to concussion being a big media topic right now. That's just how it works.

POSTGAME: Rd 01 vs Western Bulldogs
Ahh, just listening to the TV commentary of the game and fox panel comments. Lots of gushing about Gawn and Tracc who were fantastic. Tracc for the Brownlow etc etc. But Clarry gets in there and distributes like no one else. He has to have the fastest set of hands and reaction time in the league. I think we'd miss him more than CP. Anyways, we're incredibly lucky to have them all.

POSTGAME: Rd 01 vs Western Bulldogs
Gawn and Petracca are awesome, don't get me wrong. But Oliver is totally underated by the so called epxerts. His hands and distribution are just incredible, BOG for mine Kozzy in the guts is just a whole new level. I'm going to miss him seeing him live next week at the gabba. He's gone for 2 to 3 weeks I reckon. He's doing what he should and playing flat out to get the best contract he can with us (I hope) Chandler - I've watched a fair bit of Casey in the last couple of years and he just tries his guts out. He's not that classy but so happy for him to finally get a real crack. Could be another Spargo for us. Our general field play is sooooo much better, working the angles, best options and staying out of the pockets, Yuesss! Ugle Hayden - a real plus for us. Really unrealiable. Naughton - Hated his scragging, pushing in the back, carrying on etc. He seemed a real Joe Daniher by the end of the game and I was enjoying his general craziness by the end. Umps - It's time the AFL considered six umpires on the field to pick up on the throwing, dropping the ball and hands in the back. How stupid is the half rule to allow forwards to push defenders in the back now? Pfft We are becoming a seriously big super power club now, they can't ignore us as snow bunnies anymore! Go Dees!

Ticketing 2023
Yep, screen shotting and saving to your phone is a good idea. After just doing a 4 week road trip holiday, I don't think there's much money being spent on mobile networks either. Taking out the risk from any point of failure is a good idea

Ticketing 2023
Didn't this happen at the Ed Sheerhouse concert the other week as well? People couldn't access their tix on their phones and had to line up at the box office to get a hard copy ticket printed to get in. I believe some were lucky enough to not get in until half way through the concert 😃

Playing injured
It's not about being better as such, it's about running out games. This game is more and more about fitness. We had multiple injuries to multiple players in the second half of the season and I think we should have rested them and played some of our not so better players to.... 1. Develop them and build their confidence 2. Rest our key players to play finals even if we ended up in 6th or 7th position. The likes of. Smith, Tomlinson, Turner, Mcvee, Chandler, Bedford and Especially JVR should have been stepping up to rest our key injured players. It shows inflexibility by the coach. Most importantly I look at this situation and think what does it say to someone like JVR? If he doesn't get selected again in round one this year what is he going to be thinking? "What more do I have to do to get a game when there's blokes out there on one leg falling apart in the second half?" We talk about him being our future key forward. Will he stay at the next contract renewal? Some of these players should have been given a chance to step up and our key players fitness and injuries should have been managed more effectively. We probably weren't destined to win a granny last year but we should have swung the changes in the back half of the season. That's a better roll of the dice rather than running our players into the ground IMHO.
