  1. Such a great post. They seem to be more interested in creating drama to be played during the week rather than showing insights into the tactics and techniques of the game. Wouldn't it be great to see someone spend 10 minutes dissecting the game post match last night. Kayo just cut to the golf after the team song. As you've said, with all of those resources and personnel, why can't they deliver something interesting and insightful?
  2. I think AJ is the perfect chop out for Max. Hope we give him a decent run. Also a big shout out to Chin. He's really had an excellent start to the year after a few years on the fringes, he's now stamping his mark as a valuable player for us. Once again, another that shows aggression and toughness and wills himself into the game. We're far from pretty right now, but that was a win carved out of pure effort and determination. Great to see Fritta showing such aggression too. We're still as coherent as a Roving BT post game interview at times but geez that will give the lads a huge jump in confidence for themselves and each other. Go Narm
  3. Yep, I feel regretful for bagging him out early in the thread too. He played a really solid game. I love seeing him out there as part of our team
  4. If you're playing "Dwayne's causing pain in my brain" bingo. Shake and bake is a dead cert on the bingo card along with "zigs then zags" and "last roll of the dice" Take a shot every time you tick one off and drop the volume by one. Take a shot for every Deetime goal too
  5. There's a feeling in my waters. This could be something else
  6. Great tackling Fritsch. How was that not htb?
  7. Billings v2
  8. Great desperation. Wonderful team goal
  9. What a terrible umpiring decision
  10. I'm with you on AJ. Give him a couple of games. The desperation and physicality is there. We're still in this and stopped the bleeding. But as someone mentioned, we seem to work so hard for nil return kicking to 1 on 3 contests in our f50. We're playing the boundary so much. It's incredibly frustrating and must be exhausting. We've played a good team who use the corridor last week and a great team who use the corridor this week. We need to be able to learn from them and cut them open same way.
  11. It's seeming like a sad demise of a club champion
  12. Geez May just stopped and watched opponents run past him a couple of times in that quarter. And....still yells at his team mates for not covering the space. Dead set
  13. Halfway through the last qtr yeah?
  14. Great commentary by Alistair Lynch saying "nice knee in the back to Gawn by Harris Mac" too
  15. Geez Kozzy is a gem
  16. But surely you need more connection PF
  17. It sounds like there's a few "spanners" in our squad and coaching this club. Glad I missed the game. I'll say it again, we should be utilising Stinnear to coach the blokes and get some other decent coaches on board.
  18. I think there's a long term problem now with our backline too. May is getting sorer and a bit slower every year. I don't think Jake's body will last much longer either. So, by the end of this year, we could be looking to replace our backbone. It's quite a challenge with the likes of Petty going forward to try and prop up our forward line. It's great that disco can swing forward or back but for mine, he's better as a forward and should be Fritschs replacement. We're lucky Tmacs is having a stellar season. He's really bounced back this year. Our young forward line isnt working while our backline is ageing fast. It must be incredibly hard for some of the younger blokes to find their rhythm with positional changes and no clear cohesion in game plans right now. I feel for the likes of Kolt and JVR going in and out of the side while Fritsch seems to get a free ride. Let's hope we can continue to run and tackle hard like last week and lower our eyes and kick straight this week. We follow a perplexing team of perplexed players
  19. How often do you actually see JVR on a lead taking a mark pretty much uncontested in the f50? So often he's got one or two opponents all over him. I don't know how much is system, how much is his leading technique. After years of almost always having to compete outnumbered in packs, no wonder he is devoid of confidence. We really always needed two key forwards up front working well together to take the pressure off the lad. It's just a hot mess
  20. I reckon AJ would be a better option at the moment.
  21. Flicked through a bit of the first and most of the second to watch that trip and throw circus again. Ump 43 was 15m away by the looks btw. There were three set shots straight in front from 20 to 30metres out by Fritsch, Spargo and Windsor just in 1.5 qtrs Missed em all. We actually played pretty damm well at times and our running and pressure was great. Pros, just gotta fix the delivery and f50 effectiveness and we'll do alright. Cons This has been an issue for 4 seasons now
  22. He's got the tank and he knows how to bring it to ground
  23. Yep Turner moved forward way too late and the Kolt should have been on earlier
  24. He threw that out of the pack like it's was a rolling maul
  25. Tmacs held by the throat in that marking contest
