Gee Gus really stepped up in the Gf. Has been solid all year but doesn't really rip games apart like others. Turned it up three sixty degrees in the big one. Put his body on the line time after time. Miraculously moved from standing next to Bowie when Bowie kicked it and then turned up at the end of it to mark. Hasnt been great at goal kicking but nailed this one to put us back in front.

Spot on. He is like having an extra mid and it made a big difference in the 3 rd qrt the granny.

Would love to see him swap share a bit of middle time wit Trac. Have loved watching this bloke always hit up targets thus year. May not have been a ball magnet but uses it so very well.

Also I was wondering about our round 23 win against splats and how easy it could have gone the other way. At such a large halftime margin down at the infamous Kardinia park i could understand the players thinking this game is gone. I also think if there was a crowd we would have lost. So if the cats did remain on that halftime trajectory a ten goal thumping at least would be understandable. I wonder if that would have an affected us going into finals . Certainly it would have changed the teams we play. I guess that last h and a game was more spectaculiar in more ways than one. Im sure it lingered in not a few cats players minds in the prelim as well. I hope we get to play the cats round one next year.

I wonder how our team compares to other premier teams. Has there been much media analysis of this? Ie if we are as good as lions were with their three on the trot etc. I guess given players ages we are certainly a flag fave for next year but is this team up there with the best and a shot of winning three? I could get used to this winning feeling.

He reminds me of Trac....certainly how he kicks a fifty m goal off one step. Hes a strong player for his age. Maybe he and jj are the next super mfc duo like Cp and Co.

Cant remember where it was from but prior to the season a list of pundits making the final eight predictions. Out of about a 15 pundits I think only two had Mfc in it and both at number eight.

Cant decide between Tracs dribble and Frittas recover and goal. Tracs for brilliance. Frittas for catlike speed and recovery.

yea seemed to struggle ....looked a lot slower in the gf. But i do recall despite the fact he was almost moved on this year how important he was in our first 11 games where he dominated most of them in terms of our best fwd,

53k is great in this horrible covid time. Your guess sounds good but may be higher depending on covid. Another year like this one and fans free to flock to the G could see 70 plus. This could be a decade of success on and off the turf.
