2021 Player Reviews: #7 Jack Viney
I really hope his injuries are behind him and we get to see more of what he gave us in the finals. Recovered and played at just the right time and smashed it.

What’s your favourite GOAL from the Grand Final?
There were five absolute RIP snorters for mine. Our first goal from Trac...off one step kicked the stuffing out of it. Then Frittas leap and recovery. Then Gus's kick which wasn't so much skilful but he normally misses and this one he nailed to put us back in front...it qualifies for his diving mark. Number Four was Trac's dribble and five Sparrow's off a step. I think Trac gets the chocolates just over Fritta. Tough call though.

Demon Germans
Was there in 85. Went to east Berlin for a day and couldn't spend the thirty ostmarcs they made me convert. Thought that wall would never come down.

Jaguar Re-Signs for 2021
Yep...one would think they couldn't wait to get back on. Winners are grinners. But jags are crap cars. Mabe that's harsh....I guess they have probably changed a lot but I still remember my mates brother spent ten grand on his xjs repairs.it certainly looked good. I always think of the madman scene re nags but TX for the support.

Farewell Luke Jackson
Yep. Was once again the underbidder of a busted up old bidet on a couple of square feet of earth a few clicks from the CBD. It ain't pretty out there. At least I've got the gf replay to drown out all my sorrows. But I'd mortgage the kids if I could and send the club a cheque if it meant keeping Kozzie and Jackson. Worth every quid.

POSTGAME: GRAND FINAL vs Western Bulldogs
Me too Mr eating instrument. Let's be honest after 57 years we would take any win. But I really believe that 100 points in under a half of a game is one for the ages. I rate the dogs but they certainly had a great deal of help from the umps all year including their final against the lions which I think was this years 2nd best team and really starting to hit their stride. The dogs isn't a team I dislike....probably because they have struggled like us for so long but when they started booing a few of our shots on goal it was extra sweet. Plus I think they are a team that's mastered the lowering of knees to get such a good run. I did feel a tad sorrow for that dogs balding fart ( looks a little like me)the camera shot to after the 3 goal onslaught. It was a look of shock, melancholy and dreams going up in smoke. But no matter who we played didn't really matter( I had that out of my system from the prelim win). It was a master victory of a team coming from over three goals down to a total dog whipping that categorically stated we were the best team by a mile and not only broke the long standing drought but signalled a good chance of back to back flags. It also showcased half a dozen youngsters that will replace the half a dozen maturing superstars we already have. Bring it on. Ps has anyone suggested Bont could have been fined for his Oliver bump or was that all legit?

Talk about the stars aligning this year. Bloody near perfect. aside from Tomlinson and Hunt we were very lucky with injuries. And Adam going down let Petty in. Viney came back just in time and had an impact in our finals. Even May recovered from his injury quick smart. Our forward line finally sorted itself out. Our mini slump came just after the middle of the h and a unlike the dogs. we had the comeback of comebacks the last game to snatch top spot. We smashed all our finals. And we had one of the best gf wins of all time. Almost worth the wait.

Dermott’s 2022 flag prediction
Can see the tigers improving but not enough for a flag. I think the true contenders are us, dogs, giants and maybe swans. Will we still have enough want will be interesting? I think there still a lot of room for improvement from quite a few of our players but will we be hungry enough? The chance to relive that glory at the MCG will do it for us.

Poor Kozzie had a tough game but all our other young players had rippers and I cant wait to see them play next year.

2021 Player Reviews: #6 Luke Jackson
The bloke has really bulked up. I notice hes now listed at 100 kegs. It hasnt affected his speed at least or leap. I had a feeling he would have a hood granny. All eyes seemed to be on Max and rightly so. How wonderful to have a "back up" ruckman that moves like Luke and gathers the ball as well as any mid. I get the feeling this bloke will have a stellar career.

And Hawkins had a shocker. So many times that bloke has been a big player in smashing us. Now its Max that has turned the tables. Cant wait to play cats again. A few times during the year I heard a few pundits describe our games against them as the best fwd line v the best backline. Really.

The dogs were competitive for just over half the game. And the 19 point lead was really by our errant kicking and them lucky with quick snaps hitting home. Yes we they got a small jump on us for twenty mins but grannys bring out the adrenaline in players. In the end our running and gameplan did the job. The dogs touted midfield was exposed by ours and their defence finally crumbled from sheer number of fast fwd entries by us. At the end of the day it was a a clear number one team playing fifth. A lower team that lets be honest was helped many times by bias umpiring including their final against the lions.- POSTGAME: GRAND FINAL vs Western Bulldogs
I forgot about the two weeks. I did speculate in previous posts that the dogs may have been devastated by that last min of the third as they seemed to offer little fight in the last. A four goal lead in a gf is not imposdible to chase but the dogs looked somewhat disinterested. Maybe it was sheer shock.- POSTGAME: GRAND FINAL vs Western Bulldogs
Having now experienced the high of a flag, Im not sure how Ive endured following this club. I guess I never really felt what was truly missing. I need another fix.- 2022 Membership
Even with Covid lingering we should get record numbers.- Here it is….
You look different to how I pictured you.- POSTGAME: GRAND FINAL vs Western Bulldogs
Not to take anything away from our lads but I think flying to Brisbane....then Adelaide and then Perth must have had some impact upon them. As much as we lifted they looked cooked in the 40 mins. Yes a tall defender is probably a good idea as Adam t isnt that young either. - POSTGAME: GRAND FINAL vs Western Bulldogs
