  1. Please don’t go off my report, dazzle, I didn’t get to do a proper head count!
  2. Ahh, those two were walking together, maybe they celebrated with a pre-flight lunch together. I’m actually now rushing to another business meeting, so didn’t have time to do a Saty. Who I saw: May, Lever, Hore, Gus, Harmes, Max, Lockhart (I think), ANB, Milkshake, weed..that’s all I can recall, there were obviously more. also saw Darren burgess drop his laptop rushing through security
  3. Just got off a plane from Sydney which was turning into a flight to Tassie. Entire squad and staff milling about as I got into terminal. Offered a ‘carn Dees’ to the group on way past, received a smile and thumbs up from Jake Lever. dees by 4 goals
  4. As does the Standard...
  5. Jeez, this thread is like a bloody ghost town. I would’ve thought more D’Landers would be up and about after our girls posted such a massive, 8 point win over the old arch rival, The Filth, under lights and roof at Docklands on a Friday night, as a curtain raiser to a 50,000 spectator State of Origin game. What an awesome victory! If Adelaide can beat the Bloos, and Saints somehow beat Freo tomorrow, our finals chances increase dramatically. If we were to make finals, we could, you know, be a real chance to WIN A FLAG, like it says on that little plan Perty and the board put out the other week! C’mon people, get around OUR team, the bloody MFC for chissakes! RED AND BLUE! Or are they just chicks pretending to play footy?! Sheesh
  6. Just finished watching the game not knowing scores. Nice win, good contest. Pity we [censored] the saints game up against the wall, but looking good. carn you Dee grrrrls!
  7. Out of pure footy starvation I’ll tune in tonight. I’ll be barracking for.....injuries!
  8. I think that’s just his face, man!
  9. Niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice
  10. So you’re saying Gawn is physically and mentally soft?
  11. Are you saying Gawn is soft?
  12. Probably a bit late after however many decades? May as well smoke it up till the bitter end!
  13. There was a critical game we lost narrowly last season (or one before?) where she won a free in that fashion to goal and effectively win the game. Nearly kicked in the TV and shouted your words exactly!
  14. Still no pack delivered ....?
  15. Renewed on 10th December, still nothing in the mail. I’m in no mad rush but that seems lengthy for a Melbourne metro mailout..
  16. My mate texted me saying Maxy had broken his ankle running between wickets. Poor humour ?
  17. Here’s a summer feel-good(ish) story for ya. So a colleague of mine is a cricket-loving Kiwi who plays in an amateur league here in Melbourne. The name of the league escapes me, but it’s pretty well organised whereby they have player ranking points across the all teams. My mate is pretty good and as such, got selected to represent the Kiwi ‘All-Star’ team or some such in a one-off exhibition game played today. Weeks ago he cane to me with his good news of selection. With his limited knowledge of AFL, my mate said rumour was getting about that a footy star was going to be on the team. Some tall bloke with a beard, he says. I immediately opened a file on my work computer filled with humorous Max facial expression pics that I use to punctuate light-hearted emails and showed him - is this the bloke? Confirmed, Max Gawn was selected as wicket keeper / batsman for today’s game! I haven’t seen too many keepers of Max’s height, but apparently he goes alright! I’ve read about his passion for the Black Caps and the fact he was born there so makes sense I guess. My mate said he’s a ripping bloke. Anyway, the Kiwis lost needing 2 runs off the last ball. Guess who had most of the strike in the last but couldn’t get bat to ball? Can’t win em all; shades of R1 2018. At least he didn’t pull a hammy or anything. My mate was pretty filthy on the loss so I don’t have much match detail at this stage, he said it was too soon so must have been a heartbreaker. But best of all, my mate was kind enough, and Maxy gracious enough, to sign a picture for my 4.5 yo twin daughters to go alongside their one from Daisy Pearce on our fridge. The conditioning is almost complete. Thanks Maxy, go Dees!
  18. Come over to my place; still saved on my Foxtel IQ. Sad but true ?
  19. Just renewed - how hope springs eternal. Go Dees 2020!
