  1. One could say that it would add structure and support to the team Chook
  2. Luck, and players willing to give their heart and soul into the team and the journey. My black...white sox broke their curse in '05 with a team wholy commited to the cause. Boston broke theirs with players that seemed to epitomise team play, then Johnny Damon fcuked off the to Yankees (sellout). The curse is not Barassi, we were 7-0 when we fired Smith weren't we? Then even after re-hiring him, we didn't even make the finals. Just like that, the brightest light in Australian Football history was turned off, and didn't even flicker again until 1987

    Fabian Deluca

    He'd fit right in here
  4. if you don't understand it, there is no need to get defensive.
  5. i.e. Luke Jericho, Ryan Houlihan, Jason Davenport, Ryan Jackson etc. Who knows, maybe even Isaac Weetra Place whoever you would like here
  6. Love him. Showed in the second half of the year how much he has meant to our backline over the last decade. Was very solid and hopefully if he gets his body right, still has a few years left to help the club, and other players around him. A true leader by example, if only all others played with his same dedication and application.
  7. Our Premiership drought is definitely the Curse of Norm Smith. You don't really need to go into detail in the title. The curse of the bambino does not have to be called, the curse of trading the "bambino" to the yankees.

    Ryan Houlihan

But we must, MUST, build for a Premiership now. We need high quality experienced players to make us a feared side to lead us up the table! Pick one national draft!
  9. i concur. Wrote it in t macs thread too!
  10. That's what I was thinking too Jaded A fit, important player
  11. Nah, poor form in '01 left him dropped at the end. Ripper year in '02 though
  12. Made untrue in 2002 by Des Headland
  13. Yeah, I got that too. Great idea, by "select supporters" does he means supporters that follow Melbourne?
  14. haha, HT i beleive it's 'couldn't hit water if he fell out of a boat'
  15. Joel Selwood was pretty good at winning, didn't help win them this GF. Hodge, Mitchell, Roughead etc. all started in a battling team. It's pretty narrow-minded to say players need to "learn to win." I'd rather they learnt to hate losing
  16. Delisted, must be good. Can delisted players turning into possible PSD players please go into one single thread?
  17. Maybe we should try and pick him up, haha
  18. Kumble Confident of Shoulder Recovery This would suggest a different story... Hodge apparently batted really well the other day for his 100. Took about 20 of the last 22 runs to just get there. Apparently hit a six bigger than Blizzard's in the 20/20 final
  19. For a while i traveled an hour by public transport to do an hour at morning care, then an hour to get back home. That was for 20 bucks. AFL players, i'm quite sure, can manage to drive the 45 minutes to train for their profession.
