  1. I disagree, Judd at Carlton has probably boosted their figures by a minimum 5k, I'm not saying that Cousins would have a similar effect though.
  2. I agree that having our guys train alongside someone who works as hard as Cousins on the track would definitely be a positive.
  3. So Weetra goes from AFL to VFL reserves....
  4. Ouch, it doesn't look good does it?
  5. BBP, we had to turn over the list and the right decision was made to delist those players. Sure an argument could be made that Garland is not up to it however that's an entirely different discussion, but at least the club now appears to be taking our list problems seriously.
  6. May I suggest a name change to Morton_Magic?
  7. 2005 - round 6 Neitz kicked 6 and Robo 5 2004 - Round 18, Neitz 5 and Robo 4. Not sure is that equates to firing but that's the best bags since 2004 but lost interest with going any further back than that.
  8. That's completely irrelevant and that question is totally against the spirit of the thread
  9. I agree Jacey
  10. What was it then?
  11. That's terrible for PJ, just as he was showing some form and then to get injured and miss 4 weeks would be devastating for the bloke.
  12. They can seek a trade after the first year though, one year is all they have to sit out for. But it won't happen
  13. Didn't Bell play on Chapman? Chapman is one of the best smaller forwards in the league, it's not a disaster to be towelled up by him.
  14. Hehe, nice work BB!
  15. It was a promising start, wasn't it? I know we still lost but it's good to have some positives come out of the game.
  16. RD, fair post, in reality we really don't have any other option but to persist with him this year.
  17. Show me were I have stated that character does not contribute to performance Oh dear <_<
  18. So we've finally found our solution to our CHF problem. GREAT!! FANTASTIC!! Now we don't need to even bother trying to draft or trade for another quality CHF because we have the messiah in our team. Buddy, Tomahawk, Fev and Reiwoldt must all be shaking in their boots and the prospect of the new kid on the block who will so obviously make them all look like school kids with his ability to take contested marks and kick huge bags of goals..... /Off sarcasm What a complete load of self indulgent tripe you've been posting on this topic. FFS I've already said that he's performance was ok, which I honestly believe it was. Was it a great game by Miller? Does anyone here on this website honestly believe that he played a great game? What Miller does is ok, but he is extremely one dimensional and his disposal does not really hurt the opposition. Sure he tries hard, but so did Godfrey, and on one here was that surprised when he got delisted. Is he our best CHF right now? Yes, but really it's not something to be proud of and if we want to actually win a premiership then we'll have to find other power forwards to build the team around.
  19. Hey twit, care to discuss the actual topic for a change? Last time I checked the topic was about Brad Miller and his abilities as a footballer not how some pathetic little keyboard cowboy thinks he's superior than mo64 and myself. I've always discussed my opinion of his abilities (funny, I thought that's what forums like this are for ) and I have not mentioned his character, but of course dealing with facts has never been your strong point has it? You're much more at ease peddling with cheap shots and vague accusations. Hopefully now that holidays are over we don't have to read your anal gibberish.
  20. Aye, we've been a soft club accepting mediocrity for years
  21. Extremely one dimensional, not really a goal kicking forward as he gets the majority of his touches in the centre of the ground. I get the feeling that some people here will get excited about him if he merely manages to hold onto a handful of marks and gets about a dozen touches.
  22. He was ok
  23. In the past caoches have doen this to try and throw off a tag, so it may be worth a thought
  24. Did you actually read my post? I gave an example of a risk that paid off and one that didn't. At the time Hodge, Ball and Judd were considered to be the stand out top 3, the Hawks went with Hodge because they were concerned about Judd's shoulders and they believed that Hodge would give them a quicker return, which is ironic because it was Hodge who missed alot of his early footy because of injuries. I just don't belive that our club is in a position to gamble valuable early picks on guys who have back injuries. You may disagree with me and that's great, that's your opinion. But I've had a back injury before and I fully understand the implications. Before Grimes did his back he was touted as a top 5 pick, so it's interesting that all the clubs prior to our pick decided to pass on him. Did we know something they didn't? Hopefully the answer is yes because I'm sick of this club throwing away first round picks.
  25. Don't be so daft, it's happened before and it will happen again. Clubs are more than prepared to take a risk on what they think is a talented player but also has serious injury issues. I'll give a couple of examples, Judd was one that paid of, Muston was one that didn't. I'm not sure that we are in a position to take these type of risks with extremely valuable draft picks considering the state of our list. WTF are you on about? Where have I said that he shouldn't be put on the long term injury list and given all the time in the world to recover? What a strange thing to post, if he was over his injury and ready to play then why on earth would he not play? I would have thought that actually getting the ball from the midfield to the forward line with decent disposal was a skill we currently lack, obviously I'm wrong.
