  1. Of the current list: A: Toss up between Neitz and White. I'll give it to white by a whisker. B: This won't be popular and I've definitely changed my mind but McLean has been our hardest working and best player so far. Definitely underrated by alot of poeple with what he's done, myself included. C: Morton, easily
  2. Wikipedia is just bigfooty for the international market, absolutely anyone can make the posts and it's for that reason why I ignore it.
  3. Woah, settle down tiger. Bit harsh on Stan Alves, he was a club champion who was harshly dealt with by the club when it came to redo his contract.
  4. I still remember the Vic vs SA game when Lockett and Dunstall run amok together in the forward line, who they were play was completely irrelevant, it was just awesome to see so much talent on the park at the same time.

    Game Plan

Exactly Rogue, Bailey looks like he expects his players to work twice as hard when we don't have the ball (and rightly so)
  6. hmm, didn't know that about Robbo... <_< Don't get me wrong, I don't think he's crap or anything like that, it's just to get another first round pick we'll have to give up someone good who can step into a team and instantly contribute. Davey, Green and Bruce all fall into that category (I was being mischievous with Miller). Edit: Just read Nasher's response about Bode... <_<
  7. Fair enough, I'd promote at least one of them just to get a pick in the rookie draft My guesses are: Retire/Delist Neitz, Holland, McDonald, Robertson, Yze Delist Warnock, Bode, Weetra Promote Wonaeamirri That would leave us with a min. 6 picks in the November draft, 1 in the psd and 1 in the rookie. Hopefully three first round picks 1, 17 & 18 and attempt to trade for another one using a combination of Green, Bruce, Davey, Newton & Miller (Actually I'd be happy to consider any great offer for any player) 4 picks in the first round would be ideal, preferable two top ten picks. On thin Ice White, CJ, Whelen (sorry about the double post earlier)
  8. Not a fan of Wonaeamirri?
  9. At this stage on this forum I think the negative posts towards Miller are a direct response to some of our fellow posters claiming him to be the next messiah. Ok, a slight exaggeration but we've seen people on this board claim him to be our next captain and the answer to our search of a CHF. Clearly both are wrong, he's an ok player who tries hard, everyone almost everyone understands what he is and can appreciate his effort. It's just hard to take him seriously when he's overrated so drastically.
  10. Exactly bb, what a pathetic effort from a so called leader of the club. He's constant brain fades are only shadowed by the absolute stupidity of those who feel that he is captain material. How far have we fallen that we have to rely on this guy to be our key forward?
  11. TJ wasn't traded because of his ability (or lack thereoff), he was traded because of his attitude (and other personal issues...)
  12. Actually the number of posts are irrelevant and I'm proof, I get abused by everyone
  13. Thanks for the reports barpen
  14. I agree that he is an ok player, average would be a good description though. I also agree (as I've already stated) that he is the best we've currently got and hence our only viable option right now, which was the reason why I argued that we shouldn't have traded him last year. Thank you for conceding that you were wrong about his kicking ratio, I know how hard that must have been. If you thought that Sydney being interesting in him was relevant to the topic then what they were prepared to give him for him would definitely be relevant because it would highlight how highly they valued him. A first fround offer would suggest that they'd be desprate to pick him up, however if they were happy to get him in the psd then he'd be purely a depth player (accurate description imo).
  15. Do you post on bigfooty? Y_M's comments on BF about Sylvia after he was drafted are still talked about to this day. Y_M talked him up to be the next messiah before he had played but sadly Sylvia had just the one handball in his first game, heh, was bloody funny at the time.
  16. Oh very mature Nice try at completely avoiding the topic though. What has this got to do with your claims that Miller has dramatically altered his kick to handball ratio and wonderful contested marking ability? You mean getting cheap marks near the HBF? Miller is playing for the simple reason that we have no other experienced key forwards on our list. Wow, I am truly in awe of the amazing depth of knowledge you've demonstrated on this subject. Out of interest what did Sydney offer for Miller?
  17. Standing at the footy is a tradition that we had in the old members stand, nothing like going down to the old bull ring to drown the sorrows of another defeat.

    Game Plan

This year was always going to be a transitional season, I predicted that we'd be a bottom 4 team however I admittedly didn't think we'd be this bad. Bailey has got a couple of issues to deal with and realistically one pre-season is not enough time to address them all. Sure the game plan hasn't clicked yet but with this current group of players is it hardly that surprising? IMO the issues are: 1. Leadership - Our current leaders don't influence games. This has been a problem for about 4 seasons. 2. KPP's - Bigger bodied forwards have always kicked big bags against us and we lack the big forwards to take the contested marks in the F50 and kick goals. 3. Midfield depth - We have about 3 genuine mids on our list - McDonald, McLean & Jones. (I'm hoping we can add Grimes next year) 4. Skill - It's sad that we get excitied about players who can actually hit a target and able to take a couple of contested marks. 5. Mentally soft - We get smashed and we don't work hard when we don't have the ball, once again this is not something new. The game plan is the least of our worries.
  19. Learn to read, I didn't say that. That was in reference to the other experts on this site who thinks he should be our next captain You backed up your theory with 3 points about Miller. Firstly you were blatantly wrong about Miller's kicking to handballing ratio. Secondly I still don't understand how you can translate two contested marks for the entire season as something to hang your hat on and get excited about. Thirdly, he tries hard, so what? I have no idea where you get your facts from but it does make for an entertaining read so please carry on.
  20. Mate, imho your definition of a contested mark is much more accurate. I just checked the heraldsun website and he's taken 2 contested marks for the entire season. How someone could translate two contested marks in four matches as being great I have no idea, all I know is whatever she's on I want some. At least he tries hard I guess, hell, that's a great reason to make him captain
  21. err...his career kicking to handball ratio is 527 to 499, and this year it's 28 to 26...oh year, that's a lot different to previous years
  22. Yeah I agree with your sarcasm, the real comedy was taking place on the ground
  23. Correct, he showed the signs last year that he should have retired.
