  1. Need pen to paper to get excited, or at the very least content
  2. [censored] Moloney
  3. That would be a great result if we can get some quality mids to the club
  4. That can't happen under the AFL rules, only the expansion teams were able to do it when they first entered the competition
  5. hehe, at work right now and a bit slow to it all, good pick up
  6. Wants Watts and Sylvia
  7. I found it a bit embarrassing seeing a foundation hero copping a whack for sharing info
  8. Spot on, why should Hogan sign now when he can wait to really show what he's capable of doing and getting a lot more money.
  9. Edit, Just read your reply and fair enough, my fault for not reading the whole conversation and taking your post out of context. Cheers
  10. It's like at the Olympics at the end of the closing ceremony, the next host gets to do a presentation on how good theirs will be in 4 years time.
  11. Everyone needs to relax, have a nice cup of tea and calm down. He does not want to make a decision before or during the BnF because he believes that that night is for the 2013 season. Roos has at all times been very respectful to the coaches in control, ie Craig at this time. He does not want to take away anything from him on that night.
  12. Having Roos is charge means we're not going to get pushed around by the media like Neeld was, plus all the other positves
  13. What a complete load of tripe, I watched him backing into oncoming packs to mark the ball all the time
  14. GWS and GCS were given special permission to sign contracted players when they joined the competition. That has since been closed.
  15. This cannot happen, clubs are not allowed to sign players who are still under contract. If it was true that a verbal agreement had been made then it's just verbal, Watts can do whatever he wants.
  16. i get an ad about a trial for depression...google bots must also take into account which team you follow
  17. *Did not complete his first pre-season* Let's see how he goes next year when fully fit (ie completes a full pre-season), my guess is that he'll be ok
  18. I think Ratten would be a pretty good coach having learnt a hell of a lot at Carlton. Sadly, marketing and PR wise I don't think it will happen. I was just about to hit but I reread it, do I honestly believe that the club will have this in mind when choosing a coach? I think I'm so used to the club making bad decisions that I believe anything could happen now. Just put it down to MFCSS (or whatever it is, wtf does that even stand for? My favourite acronym is TLA but I digress)
  19. I hate watching us play now, I'm always expecting that we'll eventually fall back into the 'Neeld' inspired insipid patheticness. But I think that I'm so negative right now that I only see the crapness and are blind to any positives going out on the ground. I've decided to force myself to judge them after a pre-season under a halfway decent coach, afterall the only thing we have left is hope. And Jesse Hogan.
  20. He was asked if he had been in contact with Roos about the job. His reply was that there was a committee in place to conduct the questioning and decisioning and that he would leave it to them to handle the process and come up with a recommendation. Ok, now I'll move away from what he said and give my opinion (which is worth as much as anyone wants to make it worth). He didn't specifically say that he had no contact, I got the impression that he probably has spoken to Roos, which would make sense. I'd imagine that both parties would at some stage want to get together for a chat, even if only informally, to get an understanding of each other. He's obviously very intelligent, I also like the fact that he has a footballing background and understands the dressing room mechanics. I'm hoping that what he wants to achieve will take place, only time will tell.
  21. I may be reading this wrong but do you really think we should do all the psychometric testing on every single applicant? I kind of understand the desire but I would have thought to someone like Roos that would be a bit of an insult.
  22. I haven't read all the replies, I just don't have enough time. My thoughts are that I'd honestly be happy with either Roos, Eade, Williams or Craig. Hell, even Ratten or Voss would be better than what we've had since Daniher (Neale, I'm sorry for ever wanting you sacked, how I miss our inconsistent years under your guidance, at least we were competitve with you). We need a coach with a strong personality who can help rebuild our culture and attitude. Any of these guys can do it, I just can't wait for this horrible season to end.

    GAME DAY

FFS, Dunn kicks it straight to Sandilands from a point. I don't understand why our players are so dumb
  24. How are his emu's going?
  25. Newman did make a good point, albeit in a very sarcastic manner. What has Watts ever done to be making demands like this and basically holding the club to ransom? The more I think about it the more I want the MFC to be full of tough, uncompromising bastards.
