  1. haha Im going to wait and see if mine improve...
  2. Sorry, I clicked on this topic to see why we will beat the Kangaroos. Looks like you're all a bit off the topic.
  3. I watched him play on the weekend, have to say he really didn't impress me that much.
  4. I dont mean to jinx it, but Yze_Magic hasnt posted his why we will win by 5 goals thread... Maybe we are in with a chance. :D
  5. Maybe we can send Davey to CHB, play Jamar and PJ on opposite wings. Neitz can have a run in the ruck alternating with Robbo. Brock to play FB when he comes back in. Bell leading out of the square. Maybe the players can draw positions out of a hat prior to the game. Im all for trying new things :D
  6. As anyone who watches Footy Classified will know they have a new award which is voted on by the coaches of the match, and Godders got votes last week. I think coaches are able to see the definate worth of taggers, or else they simply wouldn't be getting a game. As for brownlow voting, the umpires supposidly watch the ball, and the play makers, and therefore they are the ones that catch thier eye, so its not likely that a tagger will be winning the brownlow.
  7. Holland pleaded guilty but got off with a reprimand. He said that he couldn't see properly and that it wasn't done on purpose.
  8. I heard this rumour last year. Yawn... Next Topic.
  9. Bugger that, lets finish the season with some pride.
  10. This sounds like the NBA draft lottery system before they introduced the weighted lottery draft. The way the NBA draft currently works is... 14 ping-pong balls numbered 1 through 14 are placed in a drum. There are 1,001 possible combinations when four balls are drawn out of 14, without regard to their order of selection. Prior to the Lottery, 1,000 combinations are assigned to the Lottery teams based on their order of finish during the regular season, eg. the worst record in the Lottery has a 25% chance (250 combinations) of winning the first pick, teams two (20%; 200 combinations) through six (6.4%; 64 combinations) have slightly fewer chances, etc. Four balls are drawn to the top to determine a combination. The team that has been assigned that combination will receive the number one pick. The four balls are placed back in the drum and the process is repeated to determine the number two and three picks. (Note: If the one unassigned combination is drawn, the balls are drawn to the top again.) Could work, but then it is based on chance, and teams will still tank to get more of a chance. Giving teams 9 - 16 the same chance at the number one pick could create a superteam, although it would be unlikely that the same team would get the number 1 pick in running years, but then again when you leave it to chance anything can happen.
  11. Richmond could have had Franklin, they took Deledio and tambling before Franklin was picked.
  12. Im doing no good. 16,000 in supercoach 10,000 in afl dreamteam The only one I am anywhere near the top is dremteam.com.au where I am 152. Too many injuries (just thought i'd throw in the old excuse). :D
  13. I seem to remember even if you cant a match not so long ago wherein Green kicked 2 late goals handing us the match...
  14. Here are the odds... Tom Hawkins (Gee) - Round 3 2.40 Joel Selwood (Gee) - Round 5 4.00 Scott Pendlebury (Coll) - Round 4 5.00 Bryce Gibbs (Car) 6.00 Shaun Higgins (WBD) 6.00 Paddy Ryder (Ess) - Round 1 12.00 Shannon Hurn (WC) 12.00 Travis Varcoe (Gee) 15.00 Ricky Petterd (Mel) - Round 6 15.00 Xavier Ellis (Haw) 16.00 Nathan Krakouer (Por) 17.00 Richard Douglas (Ade) 17.00 Lachlan Hansen (Kan) 21.00 Mitchell Brown (WC) 21.00 Matt Thomas (Por) 21.00 The full list is here https://www.sportsbet.com.au/sports/event/S.../EventID/715038
  15. Fair to say he would have got it last week if Selwood hadn't played so well. Well done Ricky...
  16. In todays game we are seeing backmen become playmakers more and more... IMO Rivers would have to be up there along with Bruce and J-Mac.
  17. I can't stand footy classified... Caroline Wilson, tries to ask hard hitting questions, but all that she manages to do is confuse the person she is querying, and then has a go at them, wow ground breaking stuff. On the other hand, I am feeling a new sence of fondness for Danners.
  18. Definately a fair tackle, in saying that you could see Pickett was getting frustrated and I actually was expecting something like this. They are saying that you can't pin a players arms in a tackle because he can't protect himeself, but in todays fast paced game, theres almost a tenth of a second reaction required. To be fair on his current form, I don't think he should be getting a game in the red and blue, but I don't want to see him get reported.
  19. Pumping the ball long into the forward line = more chances for Robbo to do the one thing he cares about, throwing his body needlessly into the air. Simple.
  20. Agreed, All PJ needs is one good game and people will be on the bandwagon.
  21. Not likely, hasn't been named so must still be a week or so away.
