  1. The AFL needs to inform that second rate, wanna-a-be, suburban whistle blower that the hands in the back rule has changed!
  2. If the AFL want us to watch AFLW, and I presume it is in their interests, stop serving up second class suburban umpires. And while I'm at it... stop stuffing around with AFLX and put the money into the women, who have had a legitimate competition for well over a decade!!!
  3. Female game + female umps... the males are a disgrace!!!!
  4. Even more disturbing are those who have seen Preuss play, and regard him as pretty average!
  5. Cant wait for tonight's GF.... Which teams? Which players?... Don't stress, the Game Changer will be dropped in from the retractable roof and all will be revealed! Marvel Stadium... Transformers v XMen.... paper, rock, scissors... I'm on the edge of my seat... Does anyone on big dollars have any respect for the game?
  6. The members of the AFL executive who thought this would be a good idea should be replaced immediately. I found todays scratch match, MFC v Coll, infinitely more engaging. The attempts of the commentators to make this carp sound interesting is excruciating. Hey, AFL big knobs.... how about a State of Origin contest in some modified form???? Fracken who cares about this tripe??? You belittle the great game you pretend to be the guardians of! Disgusting, vomit inducing, commercial self-indulgent [censored]!!!
  7. Bradke has remained whilst most of his rehab group have departed. He is a keen observer of the senior players and occasionally gets instruction from a trainer on the finer points of the current activity
  8. Fritsch predominantly back
  9. Hibberd everywhere in 3/4 field match play.
  10. Bedford seems to have very good foot skills.... Pruess also hits targets ... Sparrow tends to give the short kick more air... Fritsch still the standout by foot
  11. Impressed by Baker’s size... has a body to back his pace... looks like he will get games in 2019
  12. The main group had a lot of fun in the initial warm up... the final exercise had pairs with both hands on the one football. When the whistle was blown the pairs had to try and rip the footy out of their opponents grip.., Jetta proved too tricky for Max, while Weids and May were called into the centre of the group to contest the ‘final’. The rest of the group were asked to stand behind the player they thought would win. Great delight from the Weiderman group when he was lightning in snapping the ball away from May... then ran off hurling the ball into the air to the delight of his ‘followers’!
  13. Everyone on list out on the paddock... Hannan was very strong in the boundary line runs with rehab group... Keilty and Maynard also running well, Bradke bringing up the rear. Gus Walker running laps at medium pace by himself
  14. All this talk about Petracca's body shape/fitness is mildly amusing and symptomatic of the off-season blues. I suggest the doubters get down to Gosch's and have a closer look first hand... if that is out of the question, show some respect for the supporters who have. Petracca is tracking very well and we are blessed to have his unique talents. He is powerful, intuitive and highly effective in the role he played throughout a successful finals campaign... If it ain't broke...!
  15. Respect is such a difficult concept for some!
  16. For those potting Garlett, check your stats on small forwards scoring 40+ goals in a season... Jeff has done it 5 times!
  17. Love Bernie... he is so easy to love! I agree with all the great things that Demonlanders have expressed above. I hope we can keep him at the club for some time yet. He is such a positive influence! I wish him the best, wherever life takes him from here. Thank you Bernie for all the belief you restored, for all the fun you shared and for representing our Club with distinction!
  18. Goodwin critics are premature...
  19. I'm not even going to bother to rewind to find who suggested trading Brayshaw.... My advice "Get a grip!"
  20. Methinks a couple of Deemomlanders need to revisit some clips of David Neitz! Comparisons with our Tom are taking the pizz, surely!
  21. Nathan Jones was drafted to Melbourne with their first selection and the 12th overall in the 2005 national draft.[5] He made his debut against the Western Bulldogs in round 17, 2006 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground and played the remaining eight games for the season, including the elimination final win against St Kilda and the semi-final loss to Fremantle. After his fourth match, he earned the round 20 Rising Star nomination for his game against the Kangaroos, where he collected 25 disposals.[5] After Melbourne were eliminated from the finals, he played for Melbourne's VFL-affiliate team, Sandringham, and played in their premiership side. Jones played 21 games during 2007 and earned a second Rising Star nomination after the round 17 loss to Port Adelaide. He finished third in the award behind Joel Selwood and Scott Pendlebury and received 17 votes out of a possible 45.[5] He was the runner-up in Melbourne's best and fairest with 190 votes, finishing behind James McDonald who received 260 votes
  22. Baum's version of Viney's altercation with Ebert is the equivalent of a Shaun Tait wide! As soon as Viney turned and pushed out at Ebert, the latter threw an elbow to Viney's chest, Viney's first two slaps were a warning but Ebert showed signs of wanting to go on with it. He was advancing and Viney threw the third, more emphatic blow which finished things.
  23. I'm a Melksham fan... have been for a long time. I welcome the addition and I wouldn't limit him to the backline. Melksham can have an influence in the centre and he can hit the scoreboard! Another master stoke at the right time for our recruiters.... More to come in the next week!
  24. Mad_Melbourne, you say that Jake is a sub-average bloke... that's an indication to me that you don't know him and are not in a position to judge his character, let alone his football ability. I get the feeling that Jake will stay with Bombers, so any discussion of what he could or couldn't add to our list is purely speculative. What I do know is Jake is a respectful, hard-working and sincere bloke who does his family proud!
  25. "So that means that there are 27 better players on our list. That makes Melksham a fringe player at a poor club, as he is at Essendon." No mo, It means he would, in my opinion, be in our top 27 at the moment.
