  1. let's dredge the complete list of former MFC on-field/off-field leaders and decision makers to see if we can cough up someone to take over. We can find out if they are remotely interested or qualified in the position after we complete the character assassination of the current crew!

  3. Define "list cloggers"
  4. In our final two games this season Billings had 23 and 18 disposals. That represents a good return for the position he was playing in. The problem we have is that posters form an early opinion of a player and it's very difficult to change that perception. I think we need to acknowledge improvement. I'm sure the coaching panel has!
  5. Iv'e noticed an interesting development in this thread! Posters are now following an 'its all about me' trend!
  6. I'm so glad a select group of DL's have orchestrated the character assassination of a highly regarded world identity rather than digging up more crud on Pert, Roffey, Goodwin and Richardson!
  7. Aw, that's it then... I'm totally off his bandwagon if you don't like him!
  8. AMW is quick, is clean, has above average kicking skills, showed plenty in all but one of his games for MFC. What's not to like? This year, out of all the listed players at Casey, he was the standout for mine. He will make it, and he will be in our round 1 side.
  9. I agree, Kynan will make it, but he has some things to work on. He was careless with disposal in the latter rounds at Casey this year leading to some silly turnovers. He gets the ball, and that's a big plus. Also tackles hard!
  10. AFL Top 10 for Total Wins in Goodwin's Time at MFC Geel 133 PA 113 Coll 108 BL 107 Syd 106 MFC 105 Rich 103 GWS 101 WB 96 Ess 82 Only 4 of those teams, including MFC, have won Premierships in this time frame.
  11. AFL Commission Chairman Richard Goyder congratulates Kate Roffey
  12. This highlights the hypocrisy and feigned outrage that shows like Footy Classified rely on to maintain the ratings!
  13. How emphatic does the medical data have to be before the puffed-up media pretenders draw a line through this concoction about the club & club personal being shoddy?
  14. I believe the question was regarding whether she had spoken to Christian about his reported intention to go elsewhere.
  15. You need to take a closer look mate! Quite a few clubs have had some success by picking up mature (26 is hardly mature aged) Don’t be so critical when you obviously don’t watch VFL games other than Casey!
  16. Brodie McLaughlin (Williamstown) continues to shine as a goalkicker. After being equal highest goalkicker for Gold Coast reserves in 2023, with 60. I see he has kicked 10 in two finals games for Williamstown in 2024. He is 26 and would be handy at Casey, might cover for the likes of J Smith in the firsts on occasions. Affordable depth in my opinion.
  17. Thanks for coming clean DDD! Let me get this right... A former president was the catalyst for us to become wilderness wanderers. Then a CEO in modern times steered us out of the wilderness to the Holy Grail... and now, just three years later, you want to slash and burn in order to stay out of the wilderness!
  18. It has been inferred that CP5 is ‘disgruntled’ over the way the Clayton Oliver issue has been handled by the club. Considering that Clayton was on the brink during the second half of 2023, the fact that he played 21 games in 2024, and led the club for average disposals, is a minor miracle! I applaud the coach, his assistants, player leaders and officials for the transformation they bought about in Clayton’s health and wellbeing, and ultimately, in his output in 2024. He is now well positioned to start 2025 at the height of his powers. It’s up to him! I think too much has been made of Petracca’s concerns on this issue. Are they not great mates! Wouldn’t Christian be pleased to see a slow but steady redemption for Clayton. I would have thought that Christian would play a role in getting Clayton back on track (no pun intended) rather than using him as a catalyst for enquiring about possible trade options!
  19. No, just the wrong boat!
  20. I respect your analysis on this... but there are holes. Paragraph 1) Our skipper agrees with some of Petracca's concerns, but there is no evidence that he thinks standards have dropped in the player group. Paragraph 2) A reasonable appraisal of on field problems. paragraph 3) Pert was here three years leading up to our premiership, hardly coming in on the back of the previous regime. Every premiership Cup is built on the back of decisions made before it was attained. Was Hocking's input at Geelong, winning the 2022 Premiership, diminished because he followed Cook? Are you saying that Pert and Roffey contributed naught to our success in 2021? I didn't think so!
  21. Let’s say, for instance, that we are raising a case about poor culture at GFC (a club that is considered to have a ‘good culture’). What could we use as ammo? 1) Geelong star Tyson Stengle taken to hospital after nightclub incident 2) Reigning Premiers, Geelong, miss top 8 3) ‘Embarrassing, terrible, absurd’: AFL criticised for letting Cameron play on after head knock 4) Geelong coach Chris Scott has received a $10,000 suspended fine as a result of his interaction with Brisbane Lions players at quarter-time of Friday night's game at GMHBA Etc etc...
  22. I thought he was stressing how far from the truth the claims of poor culture were.
  23. I listened. I wasn't embarrassed. I understood why he was defending the Club.
  24. Time will tell! Is there any individual or group that doesn't have skeletons in the closet? Changes in leadership are an ongoing reality for football clubs. I object to disrespectful, even poisonous barbs directed at those who have devoted their time and energy (often without monetary gain) to assist with the day to day demands of running an AFL club.
