Quite obvious that inclusion in AFLW All Australian side is a matter of supporter votes!

PRESEASON TRAINING: Wednesday 13th November 2024
He's 20! Just under 200cms. Well-built now! No slug on the running track! He definitely has time to improve with a little senior exposure.

PRESEASON TRAINING: Wednesday 13th November 2024
One thing I noticed at today's training that I hadn't noticed to the same degree previously... Players immediately ran off-line when they took a mark and wanted to play on. In continuous play, the receiver's first steps were to either side rather than straight ahead. I understand that players who are evasive do this instinctively, but today it seemed uniform practice to get the approaching opponent off balance.

Verrall may surprise. He is mobile and seems well balanced at ground level. He dishes off well by hand and takes good options.

Does anyone who attended training know who the bloke was that Bill introduced to the whole squad early on in the session?

PRESEASON TRAINING: Wednesday 13th November 2024
It was a matter of timing his run. I noted that he wasn't using his voice loudly enough to draw attention. He was definitely being coached on all of this after each forward thrust. The spread by Roo, Turner and Co was excellent. We have to feed Kossie and Fritta into this new dynamic... Exciting times ahead!

PRESEASON TRAINING: Wednesday 13th November 2024
Got down to Gosch's for an hour before the rain set in. Kev has offered some excellent observations so only a few things I can add. I'm usually very positive in general about all things MFC, so excuse me if I note a few negatives on the way through. I was looking for improvement. On that scale, I was impressed with Jefferson's movement, pace and marking up forward. Roo looked good, but regularly ran to a spot on the spread (which was a focus of forward patterns) that was ignored by the incoming ball carrier. Verrall looked good in the ball movement exercises from the backline, agile and clean by hand and foot. Key backs were McDonald (who looked fit and sharp), Howes (who gathered cleanly and created change of direction), Hore (injury free and fit), Judd (Rolls Royce, who was also used further up ground), AMW (I have him in my starting 23 in 2025) & Verrall (on occasions). Woewodin looks fit and balanced with ball movement. Things that disappointed (because they were evident during 2024 season) Tholstrup occasionally gets into trouble with a fumble that allows defender to close him down and tackle. Brown sometimes holds on to it for too long, kicks under pressure and misses targets. Bowey seems in two minds with the ball, slows down flow and misses target enough to put the receiver under unnecessary pressure. Set shots, when taken, were still 50/50 proposition. Things that excited... Windsor continued on his merry way Rivers looked composed and strong (at one point he ran down Viney and tackled him to the ground in a face plant. No 7 was surprised but not impressed!). Sparrow is trim and looks to have added a little speed to his movement.

Gary Pert Quits as MFC CEO
I couldn't agree more! Chris' understanding of football can be summarized by his continuous calling for Jefferson to get a game from the time we drafted him! He may get a game early in 2025, and that is an accurate appraisal of his steady progress to reach the standard required to succeed at AFL level! Chris, unfortunately, has shown no development in his quest for acceptance as a media analyst!

Nathan Jones joins MFC as an Assistant Coach
Quality, quality, quality! Legend, legend, legend! True (red &) Blue. Let the negative clan be drowned out! So important to have blokes with good character attached to the Club in an official capacity. Jonesy has the tenacity to make it work, whatever the role!

Delistings 2024
What a mess! Kossie not top class? Howes 16 games... but is somehow clogging the list? Sharp yet to be given an opportunity and most recent selection an emergency for the Premiers! Do your homework Turner!

2024 Player Reviews: #45 Andy Moniz-Wakefield
One of the more impressive at Casey. Looked at home in the AFL team. Pace, sure hands and developing by foot.
- New assistant coaches at the Demons?

I am angry! I'm angry at the ongoing regurgitation of the perceived sequence of events under the 'truth' banner. It is destabilising. It becomes fodder for those who can benefit from bringing the club to its knees. The fact that the parents of an AFL player can be 'disgruntled' over a clubs handling of a situation is hardly groundbreaking news. At any point in time a number of parents at each and every club will be disgruntled! Most parents have been disgruntled at some stage over the manner in which their child's school has handled some issue. That doesn't mean that they immediately rip the kid out of the environment and enrol the kid in another school. Outcomes are negotiated. This situation at MFC has been negotiated! I prefer to have faith in those at the club who have participated, rather than join a lynch-mob. I apologise for any disrespect I have shown, but I don't apologise for being angry!

This is your worst effort for some time! You always seem to have ex colleagues and someone, twice removed, who heard something from a reputable source! Oh, yeah! Our 'high demand' was directly related to the lengthy contract Ollie signed, yet you 'spin' it to sound as if the figure was something unreasonable that the Club hastily thought up on the run. Ollie is obviously now very much gruntled with how it sits. You, however, continue to beat a dead horse in your pathetic attempts to stay relevant!

Club in crisis - Media pile on - August 2024
Could it be any more clear that Barrett has affiliations with those that are trying to take the Club down!

The club may have handled things better, with hindsight. I'm not sure Christian knew what he wanted. We are told he wanted improvements made. I believe he had opportunities to communicate what these improvements could be. The issues regarding Clayton and Tracca are difficult to interpret. They are long term teammates. I'm sure Christian is aware of the health issues that affect Clayton's behaviours. It is said that he has issues with the way the club processed these behaviours. I suggest there are circumstances here that are beyond Christian's ability to comprehend.

factor in near death experience, isolation, fear of career ending medical issues, family concerns, manager opportunism... need I continue?

The observant consumer may have noticed that I am spraying the site with my 'gut feel' observations on Houston. I'm doing this to mirror the behaviours demonstrated by those that continually jump to conclusions based on here say, and click-bait propositions (that have reached plague proportions in the mainstream). If there is going to be unsubstantiated prediction and personal opinion dressed as news, I choose to create stuff that is Club-positive!

The good old 'head in the sand' phrase that supposedly wipes away all opposition (and guilt) for those who were sucked in to the 'head up your rear end' movement!
