  1. Gawn and Melksham first out, closely followed by Tholstrup
  2. That is possible. I’m basing my observation on observation. Perhaps your pov was opinion based. Whatever the case, I acknowledge that yours preceded mine and if I vomited it was because I felt sick about another possible upheaval at MFC. I don’t know if Max stepping aside would be good for the club, but it may be good for Max!
  3. I'm joining some dots here, and I may be way off the mark. I'm not worried by that because no harm will be done sharing this. I've got the impression that big Max has taken a step back from the captaincy role he has filled so admirably. He needed to get away from it all. He was definitely worn out by the turmoil swirling around MFC in 2024, he said as much. I felt he was happy to take a back seat during the community camp, and I get the same feeling watching recent sessions at Gosch's paddock. Happy to be wrong on this... but we may see a transition in leadership in 2025. Shoot me down!
  4. I wouldn't say he is lighter, but he looks in great nick. I suggest he is at record lows for the skinfold test.
  5. I was impressed by Kossie's 2k run. He seems to have trimmed down and the engine is stronger for longer. I suspect a new role for him in 2025.
  6. Billings is no slouch when it comes to middle distance. He looked impressive winning his group from a blistering final 200 by Viney!
  7. Was that immediately after running a very quick 2k?
  8. Clayton finished well to pip Roo in his group… not leader but impressive drive to the line. Jack Viney ran a brilliant last 200 to get very close to Billings in his group.
  9. A very pregnant Mrs McDonald is here with young son to meet Dad. He says Dad is going to run slow!
  10. First players just coming out of AAMI
  11. The cones are out for the short warm-up activities
  12. Might be the timed run this morning.
  13. Fair nuff! My point is that Russell, like most football hosts on radio, is manipulative. He looks for ways to stir up an audience who will continue to engage with the topic. A tried-and-true method grants airtime to listeners whose point of view is known to rile other listeners. Enter CHRIS...
  14. Agree with everything you said! Go Spargs - 2025!
  15. He may have had a 'problem' before the injury. The injury may have been the last straw. In response to your question: We don't know the answer. We may find out in time, but the only person who can provide the answer is Tracc, and he hasn't made it clear to the general supporters at this point.
  16. Simon Goodwin’s career highlights 275 Games Australian Football Hall of Fame inductee 2017 2× AFL premiership player (1997, 1998) 5× All-Australian team (2000, 2001, 2005, 2006, 2009) Adelaide captain (2008–2010) Malcolm Blight Medal (2000, 2005, 2006) Michael Tuck Medal (2006) AFLCA Champion Player of the Year (2006) Australia international rules football team (2000, 2001) Dream Team (Australian rules football) (2008) Adelaide Team of the Decade Showdown Medal (2005, 2007) Coaching AFL premiership coach (2021) AFLCA Coach of the year (2021) All-Australian (2021) Win / Loss ratio MFC = 57.51% Finals Record 2018, 2021, 2022, 2023 W / L = 50.0% Note to CHRIS FROM CAMBERWELL... This is what winning looks like, Chris! When are you going to realize that Dwayne Russell has you on to serve his own anti MFC bias?
  17. I would credit Kinnear Beatson with those draft decisions.
  18. I watched the same session at Gosch's closely. I agree with everything you've said. In activities, Tracc was himself. He blended well with the newbies, he was fully committed to the ball movement exercise, and he shone with burst speed and delivery by foot. I'm prepared to believe that in Tracc's mind there may be a bit of negativity coming from other senior players, but, to my eyes, this is minimal and will dissipate as pre-Christmas training continues.
  19. Players like ANB surface because of initial limitations. His one elite ability was his endurance. The ‘invisible’ characteristics that ANB possessed were his willingness to play a role that the team needed and his professional training standards. Link these to his determination to improve any deficiencies. He became a strong tackler, he developed a neat side-step and he improved his disposal efficiency. He also developed his ability to hit the scoreboard. So, his replacement won’t necessarily be one who already has multiple ‘weapons’ and a variety of options. It will be someone who has the aerobic capacity and the required high standards at training. Chandler, maybe; Woewodin, possibly; AMW, if he isn’t already ear-marked for another role off HB.
  20. You’re not going anywhere, Tracc! Don’t even think about it for 7 years!
