  1. I watched the same session at Gosch's closely. I agree with everything you've said. In activities, Tracc was himself. He blended well with the newbies, he was fully committed to the ball movement exercise, and he shone with burst speed and delivery by foot. I'm prepared to believe that in Tracc's mind there may be a bit of negativity coming from other senior players, but, to my eyes, this is minimal and will dissipate as pre-Christmas training continues.
  2. Players like ANB surface because of initial limitations. His one elite ability was his endurance. The ‘invisible’ characteristics that ANB possessed were his willingness to play a role that the team needed and his professional training standards. Link these to his determination to improve any deficiencies. He became a strong tackler, he developed a neat side-step and he improved his disposal efficiency. He also developed his ability to hit the scoreboard. So, his replacement won’t necessarily be one who already has multiple ‘weapons’ and a variety of options. It will be someone who has the aerobic capacity and the required high standards at training. Chandler, maybe; Woewodin, possibly; AMW, if he isn’t already ear-marked for another role off HB.
  3. You’re not going anywhere, Tracc! Don’t even think about it for 7 years!
  4. That’s the moment I referred to earlier! Trac was bursting through in his inimitable style, but when Tholstrup and Langford got a simultaneous bear hug on him, in a statement from the new brigade, Trac was bought to a halt!
  5. I would have to say that this was the most exciting training session I have attended at Gosch’s. Following so soon after the 2024 Draft, with Clayton and Tracca joining the new boys. With Jonesy back out there where he belongs… Johnson, the new Dark Horse! Fritta and Salem joining in on many of the main activities, and a number of other blokes back from holiday. A hot day in Demon hell!
  6. Yes, I'm happy to agree. Everything Johnson did at his first hit-out read, "I'm not here to make up the numbers at Casey"
  7. Sharp, Tholstrup and Fullerton just completed what looked like a 1500 or 2k run. Sharp lead but Tholstrup was with him all the way. Sharp by 5 mts in the end. Fullarton 30 Mtrs back. On that note, I’m off to parking meter… more when I get home!
  8. Jefferson wrestles Johnson to the ground in a tackle, no mean feat
  9. AMW just ran through 3 tough tackles, rugby style, bounced off each and delivered the handpass
  10. Langford is already asserting himself in the close-in handball/tackle group. Just got tackled by Trac, also showed a nice side-step. Then he and Tholstrup got hold of a rampaging Trac and refused to give an inch
  11. McDonald just out-marked Roo and is in peak pre-Christmas condition
  12. Trac is in everything… often the last kick inside 50 to a lead, often Roo
  13. 22 players on main oval, full-field transition
  14. Campbell doing ruck exercises out in Victory’s turf
  15. Trac to Clarrie for a goal… a sight to see!
  16. Choco chatting to Langford and Johnson on the boundary before unleashing them
  17. Trac just nailed a 50 metre pass to Roo… wild cheers from the group!
  18. Aidan Johnson is fitting in nicely. Plenty of pace, long arms, looks at home!
  19. Fullerton may not be good enough for MFC best 23, but he played some good games at Casey and there is no need to insult him by suggesting he play for VFL seconds
