  1. That change makes no sense when we still have Tmac on the bench. I can see only two conclusions. Tmac is the sub or we're playing him as a Forward.
  2. Yep, probably done before we even started the season.
  3. Our really good Marvel record had gone to [censored]. We used to be unstoppable there when Goodwin took over, now our last two games there we've been beaten by 10 goals+ The fact that this is at the MCG is the only reason why I think we can win.
  4. Leigh Montagna actually really rates us. I swear he was calling out that we were doing something different and to watch out for us in round 2, 2021. I also think Dwayne doesn't mind us. But you missed BT and Mitch Cleary.
  5. Bevo has been injecting youth and quick players for a while now. The dogs are well set up for the modern game. We are in the same boat as Carlton. At least we have a flag though.
  6. I'm still waiting on "Simon's sign-off" video from the club. It's a bit weak to just do it for only one week.
  7. Petty? He played one of the worst key defensive roles at our club since probably a game from OMac in 2020. His body language stinks and got badly beaten in one-on-ones again.
  8. We've only won 1 of our last 8 games. Surely the pressure is going to come on really thick and fast soon.
  9. They wanted Trac forward, Oliver on the bench may have just been a rotation thing. Honestly if we always need Oliver and Trac in the center then we'll go no where this year.
  10. Wouldn't be surprised if Tom Morris reveals something on his footy furnace show tonight.
  11. @WheeloRatings is that the most we've conceded via ventre bounce in 5 years?
  12. Anderson, Rowell and Miller will have a field day. +30 CPs for GC +20 in clearances for GC. 40+ loss coming up for us unfortunately.
  13. Terrible by Goody. This is the sort of [censored] Chris Scott says like when they got belted in the Prelim "I won't go into the details but we had a few players crook" sorta [censored]. Only thing is that Scott is a terrific game day coach and Goody is one of the worst.
  14. I've been a staunch Goodwin defender and absolutely thankful for the 2021 premiership. However, I think it's time for a fresh voice. When we win off turnover the players just look confused, we play with no urgency, slow and wide exits from the D50. Our forward entries haven't changed and the inaction on Combden today was laughable. Longmire is a bloody good coach who's had his players fail recently on the big stage but ultimately he's a great tactician, values good kicking and understands the modern game. I'd implore the board to not let him slip through our hands.
  15. Disgusting efficiency inside 50 against one of the worst defensive teams in the league.
  16. Goodwin can go. How do you not put someone on Combden? Just dumb
  17. The plaudits on Petty were well overstated last week. Horrible with his one-on-ones
  18. Feel like we've taken them too lightly over the years. Surely we won't do the same thing today.
  19. If we go out and win all 3 (very doable) more members will jump on
  20. North would have looked good value for most at $3. Also, there's been a couple of surprising results so far this season
  21. Let's see us on a dry day first I think before making a full judgement on our ball movement. Even GWS barely had any fluidity in their game in those conditions last week. Carlton are very easy to move the ball against.
  22. So the roof will be closed?
  23. Not surprised with the lopsided free kick count for a Pies game. If you've ever heard Pendles mic'd up, he constantly talks to the umps and appeals the whole game. I definitely think he uses his 390 odd games experience to try and give the appearance he's a know-it-all when it comes to umpire officiating.
  24. Ball movement is the new king. We were lucky we got our flag just before the trend kicked in. The Lions had far superior ball movement in that grand final. They moved the ball with ease and the Swans applied little to no pressure in closing space. The Swans biggest flaw was being too invested into their zone defence and guarding space that the Lions just kicked their way through it. From what I've seen, Cox had started to push a more of a hybrid defence. I reckon Goody is more concerned with improving our new method over wins and losses
