Who Will Be Our Next Coach?
Just heard Bucks say on commentary "I think expected score is a waste of time" 👏

NON-MFC: Round 24
Really hope Freo can keep this up. They're a bit of a reactive team so not sure if they'll continue on in the 3rd qtr.

Selwyn Griffiths
Anyone know when his contact is up? Surely would be under pressure to keep his position given the decline in our fitness since 2021 plus all the other off-field changes happening.

Who Will Be Our Next Coach?
I thought Hinkley has already ruled himself out? Regardless, there's absolutely no way we should be considering him.

POSTGAME: Rd 24 vs Collingwood
Probably already mentioned but Pendles taking the initiative to do the kick outs and McReery coming back on basically won them the game. As Chaplin talked about it's just little moments and decisions like that which can make all the difference.

Footballers PTSD
I can't actually think of anyone on our list who oozes composure in tense moments. I can however think of at least 5 off the top of my head who play for Collingwood Is it trained or is it inate? I'm not sure but we have no one.

Who’s Playing Their Last Game In The Red & Blue tonight?
I think whoever the new coach is, the conversation with May is pretty simple. You basically say to him, "Mayzy you've got one year left on your contract, but you won't be playing at AFL level except in the case of an injury crisis. We look forward to you helping develop our VFL talent. If you're unhappy with that, then we're happy for you to seek a new home if a trade can be done".

Melbourne Football Club - The CEO
I listened to both interviews and I was pretty impressed with how Guerra spoke about the club. Pert was a massive spin Dr but I didn't get any sense of from Guerra. The only inconsistency was that on 3aw he said the new coach would come in by the prelim and on SEN he said Grand final week, but it's much of a muchness really

My 3 word player analysis V Collingwood
Bit harsh on Langdon. I barely noticed Nick Daicos apart from the flopping.

POSTGAME: Rd 24 vs Collingwood
The Suns losing makes tonight so much worse. Collingwood have stumbled into the top 4 due to our inability to run out games.

Losing it ourselves
I think fitness plays a huge part. In particular with our mids defending the corridor and getting back to help our D50. The game always opens up in the last qtr and we leave canyons of space in the middle of the ground. We saw it tonight, we saw it round 1 when GWS went end to end. We saw it against the Saints.

POSTGAME: Rd 24 vs Collingwood
I'm not sure even a new coach can change the mental fragility of this group. I honestly don't know how many close games they need to lose to work out how to finally win one.

Still think we'll lose. We can't win close games.

MEMBERSHIP TALLY 2025
I thought 2026 memberships weren't available yet?
-
MEMBERSHIP TALLY 2025
How can a club sell 3 game memberships when there's only 1 game left? There's something not adding up about the Saints membership numbers. There's no way they have more supporters than us.

One thing that tears me up inside now is Goodwin's post match presser after the grand final. The way he spoke about the journey the club has been on to reach the pinnacle and I just remember thinking, 'wow we're a successful and relevant club again'. Then Trac is also there as the NS medalist and basically credits Goodwin for transforming him into this elite footballer. It's staggering how far we've fallen away since then.

Intraccuracy!!!
He's been way too much inside his head the last few years. I thought in his younger years he played a lot on instinct and was very clean with the ball. Now he closes his eyes before he runs up and completely overthinks almost everything.

GAMEDAY: Rd 24 vs Collingwood
Interested to see who Collingwood use as the sub. Frampton would be an unusual choice. Pendles would definitely be in the frame. I'm not as doom and gloom on this one. Collingwood have been playing some very ordinary football and they've been worse offensively than us over the last 5 weeks and middle of the road defensively. I think if we have a strong start we'll really worry them. The key is stopping the Daicos boys and then the whole team will fall over.

PREGAME: Rd 24 vs Collingwood
McRae has confirmed Howe is playing. That dents our chances are fair bit. He killed us last time.
