The balance of the side was quite good last week.

Weid should stick it out.... there is really nobody else in s forward structure for the long term, not smith or keilty. Maybe a working through a tough spell will make him a better footballer. Time will tell.

But it is, i watched the replay of the richmond game, pretty much saw Weideman give up at most contests arround a ball up. If i was the coach, i would tell him to line up someone and take them out, cop the suspension and come back to the game with a taste for physical pressure.

I would still like to put pettraca onto a half back flank to get some run of the backline. I would be tempted to put hore forward as a more dangerous marking option that may create some problems for opposition defensive structures. At somestage they will have to take a punt on some younger players to see how they respond.

I'd stick with Weid. Probably play Pettraca on the wing or half back flank. Maybe take a punt on chandler or baker or both.

Nothing too much to be worried about... just need to play smarter football. Once lever and may are ready, the structure of our team will change dramatically. Speed is good but speed between the ears is more important. I guess we did fall into a trap where we built a team arround stoppages. Mind you, players need to run and take on ths game and take more risks.

I think eberyone is getting over excited... we just have some major structural issues.due to injuries, our structures are not in place. Once some players come back, things will improve. Seriously we cannot continue to just bomb the ball forward.
