In broad terms, the problem is you get cretins who aspire to being tough guys, but they miss the mark and are wife beaters.

The footage only showed a Geelong supporter kicking a bloke on the ground, and another one taking a fresh-air swing at the back of a Melbourne supporters head. Nothing much to write home about, but the lesson is this: the Geelong crowd are scum.

I grew up in Geelong and have experienced the standing area many times. I happened to be in Geelong and had the option of attending the match. It’s quite unlike me, but I declined in the knowledge I’d probably end up in the standing area & I’m quite partial to a heated argument. That standing area is trouble, enables quick trips to the bar and back, and my better judgment dictates that I avoid it, lest I found out I’m not as tough as I think I am.

Has been quieter in recent weeks due to niggles, but still gets the job done, week after week. Proud to have him at the club.

He has elite attributes, and has been elite in certain games where he has been able to eliminate mistakes from his game and his mobility hasn’t been exploited, but he’s only suited to a central midfield role and we are blessed to have candidates for the same spots that appear to be true elites of the competition. Nice kid, works hard and has done some good things for the club, but there aren’t many fairytales in footy. Not in the traditional sense. Getting paid millions to play footy in your early 20s is pretty damn lucky, even if you have to spread it across a handful of clubs. I know I’m engaging in the ugly practice of writing the obituary to his MFC career, but I just can’t see him sticking around beyond this season.

Given up on Tyson. His strengths are possessed by others vying for the same positions that don’t have as many weaknesses. Valuable commodity for the trade period however.

Then you don’t understand the impact it has on the club.

Players, coaching staff and club admin all in the one place. Having them separated creates a significant disadvantage. You don’t want the football dept having to travel miles to get to the training track.

Steady on. He's pretty much where I expect him to be. I imagine he'll have a huge season in 2019 along the lines of Hogan this year. It takes kids a while to figure this whole thing out, and he'll be dominating like Dusty in time, we just need to be patient.

Having said that, the return for Dangerfield wasn't great. Dangerfield and pick 50... For picks 9, 28 and Dean Gore.

I don't think they actually matched, just that they threatened to certainly match it (as that would have then tied Dangerfield to stay with the crows on an identical contract, to my understanding). However I am aware that the AFL plays it pretty free and loose with the rules in these situations.

That's rubbish and it just demonstrates your lack of understanding. I also doubt Pert bringing over his Rolodex is going to do great things for the club, and fail to see how it's relevant to your first couple of sentences.
