  1. That was Steven King.
  2. [censored] that was good to watch ⚪️🔴
  3. Both Sydney teams mind you.
  4. Cheering for Sydney like a genuine nuffy fan 🔴⚪️ So so sweet to watch!
  5. You responded to me first.. 🤣 like you constantly always do, then somehow find yourself raging over the littlest and most sensitive things ever that somehow seems to trigger Absolute drama queen is what comes to mind with you. Every single thread is ruined by you turning small discussions into major personal hissy fits. Not all about you champ lol Anyway, make sure you cheer loud?
  6. Whilst I think Tommo is stiff and played his role well, there is obviously more to it then we know or ever will. He did badly get touched up by Harry McKay in the practice game and I thought after that he wasn't a certainty for round 1. Actually more excited for Marty Hore's return. His numbers at VFL level was through the roof and took the most marks in the competition for 2023. I think we bounce back and win this one.
  7. Sorry, I need to correct myself and say that I didn't mean the demon Army don't make noise, in fact I meant that you guys indeed make a lot of noise and she needed to be specific instead of lumping all supporters in the same boat if that was the case. My brother in law attended who's a mad Demon supporter and attends every game. He shook his head in disbelief considering the timing of her comments was really right in the middle of the Joel Smith news that broke our regarding the text messages etc. He too felt that the last thing she needed to comment on was telling supporters that we don't cheer loud enough. When all this fiasco was going on over the summer she went missing unfortunately and all we could do is send Max to be the face of it all. You really do get sensitive over someone face palming your comment.. considering you do it a fair bit to my posts and I can easily just brush it aside then I think that speaks volume on you. You're happy to completely shut @Dr. Gonzo down with his opinion but can't take a face palm reaction.. oh dear.
  8. The G was literally shaking that night when Jones and Hannan kicked those goals.
  9. That's the reality pure and simple. Unfortunately Kate doesn't realise this.
  10. What on earth are you talking about... Did you actually read that I wrote and the point I'm trying to make?
  11. Thought Tommo was actually solid down back....
  12. Its a combination of both she was referring too. As clear as daylight. She is clearly asking for more noise as highlighted below from a quote of her from thr age. The comments below wasn't actually from the function. She clarified this to the Age journo when they reached out to her this week. “I think Melbourne can and should be a big club on and off the field. We have seen our membership grow to record numbers over the past few years and we are on track to reach 75-80k members and I want to see that number continue to grow. I always had a great rivalry with Pies on the field. Let’s add the membership challenge to that great off-field rivalry.” Roffey went on to explain that her remarks should be interpreted as a call to arms for Melbourne supporters. In 2023, the Demons had 70,785 members to Collingwood’s 106,470, while . “The crowd at a game makes a huge difference – especially a loud crowd that gives their team 100% support. I’m not sure the fans realize how much of a difference it makes to the players on the pitch – but it means a lot to them. When the MCG is full and our members make a lot of noise, it gives the players a massive boost on the field. “I will continue to encourage every Melbourne supporter to play their part by turning up to games, being louder in the stands – and behind their players, whether the team is five goals up or five goals down – because it matters . “I think Melbourne can and should be a big club on and off the field. We get good numbers to games already in my opinion and I think we do well enough to make noise. She thinks it's as easy as coming to games and making noise at all opportunity. Sorry Kate, it doesn't work that way especially when you're 5-6 goals down with a game style that is not overly exciting for fans to watch. Still gets the wins but it's boring to watch. At the end of the day the wins is all that matters. Exactly what kind of fan engagement do you want during games?? Seriously, you're there to watch a game of footy, not a super bowl entertainment.
  13. Of course they do it best... they're 30k bigger supporter base then us and as expected, louder then us. We cannot compete and her expectations of thinking that we can do so in this current climate is ridiculous from her end. It take years to build this kind of supporter base. Both you and Kate are also missing the point in that Collingwood game style and ours is stark different to why they probably get loud as well during games. Collingwood play a high offensive game style that is exciting to watch where as we play such a defensive and in football terms, 'boring' style this is hard to cheer loudly especially when you're kicking 2.8 in a half of footy as we did last week. We had numerous of games that were on display last year and some were certainly hard to watch. She needs to temper her expectations and appreciate that supporters are being as loud as they can be. And seriously, out of all clubs she was to heap praise on then I couldn't think of a worst organisation going around especially as they are also the same club that forced a demon legend to retirement.
  14. Considering they have about 30k more supporters then ours then Roffey is completely out of her depths with reality. Of course Collingwood supporters would be loud. Her comments are a kick in the guts for demon army and loyal supporters who are there weekly cheering all the time.
  15. Same. At the end of the day, we know Brown is cooked, but he's still going to drag the number one defender regardless because on a good day he can be dangerous with his reach. There were stages last week Sydney's talls paid no respect to Schache and used McCartin who's their best defender on JVR which clearly wouldn't happen if Brown was playing.
  16. What a name... Feel like this function is right up my ally.
  17. Can't stand the whole poor me mentality on here. Has it been a challenging off season? Yes absolutely.. has it been the worst in our time? Nope, we've gone through the whole Troy Broadbridge death, tanking saga and Jim Stynes death in one hit which I think was more significant then what we've just experienced. In my opinion the club has handled the Clayton Oliver situation incredibly well and they need a pat on the back for that. Does that mean we need all articles out there saying what a great job the club had done? Nope, i would rather be winning games and Oliver playing a big part in that. Results will speak for itself. Anyway enough of that, let's smash those Swannies!
  18. Were you you living under a rock? The media scrutiny on the whole Essendon drug saga was the biggest media scrutiny I had seen in the AFL on a club alone. They literally had cameras parked out the front of James Hirds house from dusk to dawn and nearly drove him to his death. It was constantly front and back page of the Herald Sun for two years. Both Melksham and Hibberd have been quiet vocal around the intense media scrutiny and the toll it had not only on their mental health but their personal lives as well. The whole Wayne Carey cheating scandal was a close second even in the day and age where social media wasn't a thing. It was certainly one of the biggest and scandalous stories we've seen. To think we've copped as much scrutiny as these other events is just laughable. It doesn't even compare.
  19. If the AFL want to make a statement on a head high bump then this is the perfect case study right here with this incident. You'd think 6 weeks at least is a starting point.
  20. Please do not drag me into your guys high school gossip [censored]. Prefer to talk footy thanks. Sort it over a DM you two.
  21. Watched the Sydney game against Brisbane and Ladhams was far away the better ruckman between he and Grundy. Grundy ran around looking like he lacked the required match fitness.
  22. I have done this kind of drill previously at semi professional level a decade and a bit ago and it's absolutely not as easy as it sounds. Depending how many repetitive efforts it can be a taxing drill and I'm glad he's getting a solid workout in.
