  1. No idea, moved to Melbourne recently and first time I've ever attended training down here. Thanks mate! You're a legend.
  2. Brilliant.. Is it better to get off at Richmond station and then walk across??
  3. Is there a session on today? If so i cannot find the time as i was planning on heading down to have a look. Cheers Summary of Training: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Just got here. They've split into 3 groups and all doing what looks like ground balls/touch work. JKH looking clean on both sides of the body as is Gus. Groups swap to the next cones now. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Dom is in the group in front of me and he just looks like a dejected man.. In saying that his skills look very slick as is young Flippa! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Now doing some what looks like 80% run throughs. Hunt in the footy boots doing what looks like 400m timed sprints. Joel Smith is on the other side of the ground getting worked over by the rehab crew. Seems to be moving well. Group has split into full ground drill now. Maxy, Flip and King doing ruckwork with Stafford. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Skills has started off a bit sloppy.. Salem, Vanders, Tmac missing kicks. Fritz and just oozes serious class with his kicking skills. As i type this i must say there's been a bit too many sloppy kicks for my liking.. hopefully it improves as the session goes by. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Bit overcast and bit breezy mate but nothing threatening at all. Jeez poor JKH does a lot of hard running and spread for minimal reward. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Group has now split into 5 small group just doing extra touch and groud ball. Vanders is a seriously big unit! Id love to know his actualheight because hes definitely alot taller then Wagner whos listed at 189cm tall. Btw no Billy Stretch here. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Group has now split into 2 big groups with one closest to me doing 4 point kicking which then finishes in the middle group who kicks up to full forward. Clarry is one of those leading forwards along Smith and Tom McDonald. Lewis, Spargo, Gawn hardly missing targets. Dom, JKH, Pedi and Baker also kicking well. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Groups have split into forwards, backs and Mids. Some interesting ovbservation here. Fritsch is with the mids playing a sweeping role off a hslf back qlong with gus and Baker. Interestingly Lewis is also with the mids doing stoppage work. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Austin Bradtke is also here doing some work with an assistant coach. Bloody tall kid! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The session has finished but the guys who played at Casey are doing some boundary line run throughs. Though Kent and Vanders are doing goal kicking practice with some forward while Goody stands on the mark and watches on. Jones just doing extra touch with Ben Matthews. MOD EDIT: @dazzledavey36 is answering questions throughout the thread.
  4. Feel likes hes going to become the player thay Scott Thompson could have become if he had stayed at the dees. Proving what a bloody good player he'll become over the journey with us.
  5. What about JKH? In hot form in the VFL and would surely add a bit of pace and skill on the outside?
  6. I didnt watch the VFL game on the weekend, but would Bake be under serious consideration just to give us that extra speed and speed on the outside on the wider MCG? Do we bring him for Smith or play Vince ehos hsd the week off and will be fresh?
  7. Look out for Kalani White few years.. Kid apparently has the goods to really thrive in a few years time.
  8. Haha Green got the chop from both Carlton and North. Obviously cant coach to save himself. Not sure what hes doing these days?

Paul Amy @PaulAmy375 Won't be a surprise to see tall defender Declan Keilty get a debut for Melbourne this week. Was best in the VFL on Sat and has had a good year. And he'd be the third player drafted from Casey to take an AFL bow this year (after Bayley Fritsch and Oscar McInerney).

There are reports that hes done an ACL and which is potentially season ending. Which is a huge blow for Dunn who was playing great footy and on the verge of playing his first ever finals series.. Which also leads me to my next question.. did we get rid of Dunn too easily? My opinion is yes we did! We put all our basket into developing Oscar as our number 1 defender, but yet got rid of a experience and hardened defender who could have guided him and helped with his development. I'm still unsure on Oscar.. said this yesterday but he made McCartin look like Wayne Carey at times.. just seems slow to react and once the ball hits the ground hes Ben Holland paced. All the best to Dunny btw, was always a favorite of mine and still is.
  12. I know hes just started playing WAFL level after having foot issues, but I'd sign Eric Mckenzie from West Coast on a 1 year deal. While we have Lever out, we need a hardened experience defender who can add leadership down back. Former best and fairest winner at the eagles and was Co Captain at some stage also. 196cm 100kg key back who would be handy until Lever comes back and Petty develops.

We don't need Gaff when we have Dom Tyson playing his role right... @Satyriconhome
  14. Season dond.. This one is on you Goodwin! Picking Petty ahead of BOG performance from Frost last week, leaving Tyson on a wing to let their runners skim past him, continue to play spuds like ANB who offers absolutely nothing. Honestly some serious questions need to be asked of this footy club. Our backline is a shambles with no experience whatsoever after trading Lynden Dunn for a packet of chips who's now one of the top defenders of the game. Oscar is a ordinary footballer and made Fatty McCartin look like Wayne Carey today FFS! There is no forward line structure at all. 2 weeks in a row no we continue to not select a crumbling forward! Spargo, jeffy and heck even JKH just to try and add a bit of zip and forward pressure at least! Weideman is useless, watching Josh battle in his 4th game bully our backline was shameful to see. And finally our midfield is just way too too heavy! Having Dom Tyson on a wing all day has to be one of the most mind boggling decisions ever? Time to bring Stretch in now and leave him on a wing for the next 10 games to see what he has to offer? At least he will provide run and poise unlike Tyson. Another year full of promise, only to be now let down by this shitful club.
  15. We are a joke.. Hogan and Petracca need to pull the fingers out.
  16. I reckon Vince has been dropped..
  17. Big loss for them, and I've been watching fair bit of the saints this year and hes definitely been in their top 5 players each week.
  18. The issue I have with Goodwin in regards to Tyson, is that hes playing him on an outside role where he is badly exposed for leg speed.. why hes doing that I have no idea? I'd rather Tyson having playing on ball then Harmes who gets more of a go in there then Tyson now. Either play him in an inside role or dont play him at all.
  19. Ohh dear... you said he played his role, and now backpedaling big time saying you dont know what his role is.. I'm not the one claiming that he played his role like you did. But if I go by his performance on Friday night, I would say he was quiet poor. You know it's funny how you say Gaff is just a accumulator and does nothing with his disposal, yet quick to defend Tyson who has no awareness and shocking disposal by foot and yet you have the guts to say he played his role? You honestly need to take your fan orgasam glasses off and see it from a footballing perspective, something you struggle from day to day basis unfortunately.. And you 100% lied on here and you know it. I will happily bring back the Gaff thread and tag your name in to prove this. Its actually about time you get pulled up for what a fake you are.

Was he hindered by injury? At lne stage he was running with a limp in the 2nd qtr which looked like a cork?
  21. You said he played his role, vogue asked exactly what his role was? You then took a blind guess which made completely no sense whatsoever.. You embarrassed yourself with the Gaff thread after being shown out as a petulant liar, and now this. Just stop mate.
  22. Melbourne supporter too.. What's his contract status??
  23. So in other words, you have no complete idea what his role was.. again, proving how you're so far out of your depth in terms of the knowledge of footy.. Jog on old timer.
  24. Don't care what anyone says, we were absolutely robbed by those [censored] maggots!!
