PF: Melbourne vs Geelong
I'll try and explain in simple terms. This was Geelongs forward 6 last night. Besides Miers, all 5 players are well over 187cm tall plus. They have Brad Close who comes in and plays a high half forward. Salem and Rivers will take Close and Miers. Where does that leave Bowey? Who does he take? Last time they didn't have Ratugolea and instead had Dahlhaus, so there was a match up there. Hibberd or Hunt are my potential ins.

Throwing the Ball
My favourite one was when Dangerfield threw it out of the back of the pack and James Brayshaw called it a party trick.

Will you be satisfied with the Season of 2021 even if we lose the Preliminary Final
I could cop a loss if it was against the Giants. I simply cannot cop this against Geelong. Out of all teams, I can't just fathom the though of losing to Geelong and letting it eat inside of me for 6 months.

PF: Melbourne vs Geelong
The game will be won through the midfield and also down back. Yes they have some ageing and banged stars in Selwood, Duncan and Dangerfield, but don't underestimate them to lift in a game like this. Geelong did what they had to last night, win and get through the game with minimal injuries. Parfit is a loss for them, but they could bring in Shaun Higgins or Sam Simpson as a replacement.

PF: Melbourne vs Geelong
Of course I do.. But they'll leave him into to try and keep Lever accountable.

PF: Melbourne vs Geelong
Definitely a huge worry game for me. Last time they didn't have Touhy, Duncan and Rata. Joel Smith will stay now especially Big sav down there. Bowey for me is still the vulnerable one down back. I said Hibbo last week but if Jayden Hunt is ready then I'd bring him to give us some speed out of the back half. Our defence and mids have to be really switched on from get go.

FINALS: Week 02 2021 (NON MFC)
Playing Geelong worries me. Last time they didn't have Touhey and Duncan and both have been solid so far for them.

I'm tipping the Giants. I reckon the game will be best won in the midfield battle.

2021 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
Incredibly hard. Once again a lot of the recruiting will once again go off footage that's been recorded throughout games and also limited form this year as well.

2021 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
If you're talking about Andrew as a potential key forward then personally I don't see that in him at all. Hasn't shown one bit that he has the capability to play up forward at under 18s level. I see more potential as a ruck but more so down back playing the same role similar to Alir Alir. At least with Luke Jackson when he went back to Colts level towards the end of 2019 he started to hit the score board when playing up forward as a genuine key forward.

AFL TRADE NEWS AND RUMOURS
Watched Riccardi few weeks back against Geelong and he was terrible. Had the turning circle of Ben Holland. Certainly wouldn't want him based on that showing.

Adam Cerra
I would be shocked.

Adam Cerra
Just remember who we could be potentially dealing with here that is going to cause the biggest road block.. and that's Peter Bell. They have already announced that their asking price will be high. To me I would not be surprised if they demand two 1st round draft picks. Unfortunately I just can't ever see us pleasing Freo with the lack of draft capital we have on our plate. It really is going to take potentially a player trade out.

Will Nathan Jones get a farewell game?

I agree, bit of a nothing article.- Adam Cerra
Mark DuffieldThe West Australian Thu, 2 September 2021 5:27PM Comments Mark Duffield Melbourne have emerged as a potential second suitor for homesick Fremantle midfielder Adam Cerra. It has been assumed that Carlton had the inside running on the Cerra trade after the 21-year-old told Fremantle just days after the completion of the 2021 home and away season that he wanted to be traded back to Victoria. Sources close to Cerra believed the Blues had the draft collateral to get the trade done but have this week confirmed that Melbourne had also shown interest. The Blues have pick six in the national draft which would become pick eight after the predicted early father-son bids for Nick Daicos (Collingwood) and Sam Darcy (Western Bulldogs) which are certain to be matched by those clubs. The sticking point in trade talks is that the Dockers are likely to ask for something on top of that draft pick. It is not clear how Melbourne could get the deal done on draft picks alone given they have no first-round pick in the draft and will not take their first selection until at least pick 36 once you factor in the two early father-son bids. There is no indication at this point that the Demons would be willing to part ways with their Rising Star winner Luke Jackson who was recruited from WA and is contracted for another season. The Demons also have Trent Rivers from Western Australia while Fremantle had shown a very keen interest in Kysaiah Pickett before the Demons scrambled up the draft order to get him in the first round at the 2019 national draft. Rivers, 20, has played 32 games including all 23 so far this season and is expected to figure in Melbourne’s preliminary final team. He is contracted until 2023. Pickett, also 20, has also played all 23 games this season and emerged as a genuine star of the AFL kicking 37 goals, is contracted until the end of 2022. Meanwhile the Dockers are continuing their talks with small forward Lachie Schultz who has been strongly courted by Hawthorn. It is understood Schultz appeared set to re-sign before Hawthorn upped their offer which is now believed to be for three years. Schultz can leave the Dockers as an unrestricted free agent if he chooses to join the Hawks. The Dockers remain optimistic that the 23-year-old will stay. He kicked 22 goals from 20 games in 2021 for a total of 38 from 44 games over three seasons.- Hats off to Kate Roffey

He had recurring calf problems all last year which has carried onto this year.- Farewell Dom Tyson
Injuries. Wrist and persistent calf problems through his time at North.- Farewell Dom Tyson
I too like Domma and was a bit sad to see him go. His 2014 - 2016 period was very fine contributor for us and really made a solid impact through the impact. Always welcome back to the red and blue home.- Farewell Dom Tyson
Looks like it's farewell to Dom's AFL career. Just been delisted by North - Adam Cerra
