CASEY: Rd 12 vs Collingwood
Yep. Everything I see of him is everything Goody and the recruiting staff want in a player and that's having that competitive streak and hunger.

CASEY: Rd 12 vs Collingwood
Our young kids are impressive. Van Rooyen just launches into packs and isn't afraid to take out anyone. Can't wait to see what he's capable of at AFL. His physicality and aggression is impressive for a young key position forward. Been impressed with Laurie and Moniz Wakefield.

Farewell Luke Jackson
From who? Please provide the exact content where this was actually said? I get that it's certainly up there in today's game, but "EVER"..? Keen to see where you get this from.

Farewell Luke Jackson
Well he hasn't. You're going purely off stats alone. His impact this year has been poor. Agree wholeheartedly. A lot will argue based on thay 5 minute patchwork off the Grand Final which realistically as @Bring-Back-Powell pointed out other then a follow up work, most of the work was done by Oliver, Petracca and Viney. I've been waiting for him to stamp his influence around the ground this year but he hasn't. His first instinct is always to handball when when he's got space in front of him to take the game on and get the ball forward. Is this coaching or him just not confident enough still. I still put this down to Covid with his form, but right now other then the Gold Coast game he's had zero influence this year.

TEAMS: Rd 13 vs Collingwood
So happy for Turner. I'm blown away in his growth ans development since his time with the Murray Bushrangers last year. I bumped into him at the local gym over the summer and was shocked to see how much puppy fat he'd lost and how incredibly fit he looked. He's a bit of a country lad who's good for team morale but also your typical hard working one who puts in when the work is required. All the best 'Disco'. Your family would be incredibly proud.

This was my initial thought also considering they've brought in Weideman. I highly doubt it though..

Steven May Suspended by the Club
I don't condone what Melksham done as he simply should not have punched him, but Steven May is a massive [censored] if teammates were trying to pull him up on the drinking and he refused so. Can see why Gawn and Viney would have been filthy about this. If Viney was giving out sprays to more senior players in his first year I hope he gave an earful to May.

Steven May Suspended by the Club
Jesus christ.. now it turns out he was sledging Joel Smith a d Melksham was actually sticking up for Smith. Sounds like it was Melksham was showing actual leadership by questioning May why he was drinking and having a crack at teammates. If this true that bravo to Melksham and a big [censored] you to Steven May. https://www.theage.com.au/sport/afl/jake-melksham-has-surgery-on-hand-after-fight-with-steven-may-20220608-p5aryw.html Jake Melksham escaped suspension for his altercation with Melbourne teammate Steven May on Sunday because he challenged the key defender about his behaviour on the night and then acted to defend himself when the discussion escalated into a physical encounter. The Demons did not condone Melksham’s decision to resort to violence, but club sources said they took the view that he had acted almost on behalf of teammates in challenging May, who had provoked the fight through his behaviour. Sources confirmed that May had sledged teammate Joel Smith in the lead-up to the fight, alongside other banter. Smith organised the evening’s gathering, which the Demons were pleased was at a restaurant rather than a nightclub. Sources within the club said the ex-Bomber questioned him about his drinking on the night and his comments, which included those to Smith. May took exception and the disagreement escalated as teammates who were present, including Smith, James Harmes and Michael Hibberd, separated the pair.

Daniel McStay
According to Jay Clark, Melbourne is among 4 clubs that's officially interested in Daniel McStay. Free agent so would get him for free. Stoked to hear we're interested.

You're being incredibly harsh mate.. The Herald Sun paper has many great benefits, such as starting my firepit up in my backyard on a sunny Sunday afternoon with a couple of 🍻🍻

Jake Melksham to miss Round 13
My initial thought when I saw the heading on twitter was that he has obviously broken his hand. To see that it's surgery for infection is..... interesting...

Whether you want to believe robbo or not but apparently some of the players did question May on why he was drinking in the first place.

If Petty doesn't get up I wonder if Weideman will be strongly considered to play as a defender...?

Steven May Suspended by the Club
If it's true what May said to Melksham then that's an absolute cheap shot and a half. Probably one of the worst things you could say to a bloke that's just missed out on a flag. Can't be saying [censored] like that regardless who it is. I mean, what did you expect in return when Melksham was an undefeated amateur boxer back in the day.
