“Sound the Alarm” The Goody Mic'd Up Documentary

It's called Sound the Alarm documentary. Odd that the thread title was changed from its actual name of the doco.. -
First sign of team selection.

Jake Nial is a complete mess. This is the same guy that predicted Simon Goodwin to be the first coach sacked. He's now salty that he got it all wrong. https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.nine.com.au/article/945d7932-4c57-4405-8a72-abe8c43346bd

So how does it work from a list perspective? Do they now train with us full time and play at Casey every week? Or train and play at Casey until called up for top ups?

Ffs these flogs genuinely need to get over this.

What They Are Saying at Western Oval
dazzledavey36 replied to Lucifers Hero's topic in Melbourne Demons
Look I'll be honest, I already knew how incredibly soft Schache is. We all knew this from when we worked with him through the Murray Bushrangers system back in his under 18's days. He was a high talent and Darren Ogier the bushies coach at the time would make him do extra competitive work after training to try and toughen him up a bit. This was a direction given to him by recruiters. Watching his progress over the years not much has changed. JUH is more down to attitude problems and whether he applies himself to his training and diet off field. -
What They Are Saying at Western Oval

I reckon Tim English is one of the softest players running around in the AFL. For a guy his size he's scared of his own shadow. The rest of the doggies team are pretty hard and fair which I agree with. -
Article pre draft regarding Finn and Howes friendship. https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.theage.com.au/sport/afl/giants-consider-drafting-mates-to-counter-go-home-factor-20211117-p599m4.html On the other hand, if the Giants drafted Callaghan and opted against picking Howes with their next selection, Victorian clubs would be aware that picking the latter could give them an opportunity to reunite the pair in the future. Callaghan is comfortable in commencing his career interstate and appears almost certain to do so, with Gold Coast and Adelaide set to select after the Giants, but the nature of his longstanding friendship with Howes has given clubs an extra element to ponder when considering the duo at the draft.

I too reckon this could be a big watch this space. They've legit grown up with each other since kindergarten. I read an article pre draft with hot extremely close not only Finn and Blake but their families as well. There was even an article that GWS strongly considered Blake Howe with their early pick in the teens so that they could have the two best friends together. So obviously they've identified that there could be some home sickness there already. Jason Taylor was interviewed by Callum Twomey mid last year and he named Finn Callaghan as an early draft prospect that impressed him the most alongside Daicos.

You've just answered your own question.

I don't know too much about except that he has genuine X factor and can run all day. With a bit of exposure to semi professional level he could hopefully follow in the footsteps od Bayley Fritsch. Jack Lonie and former Giant Sam Reid have been added to Casey's list.

Anyone heading to Casey for tonight practise match against Richmond? Would love a good match report..

Why Luke Dunstan came to Melbourne
dazzledavey36 replied to george_on_the_outer's topic in Melbourne Demons
I honestly thought we would have seen Dunstan atleast given an opportunity during the practice games. Was a tad surprised that he wasn't named emergency at least. Which then makes me think that maybe he's had to do like further extra training (Think Ben Brown's mini pre season last year) due to getting a bit of culture shock with the training standards. I know this was one thing Ben Brown spoke about last year getting a rude awakening with just how hard we trained and perhaps wasn't up to the required standard. -
Just a quick little heads up, keep an eye out for the name Roan Steele who has recently signed with Casey from Frankston YCW. Has been training with Melbourne.

With news that David Zaharakis will most likely be one of our top up players for 2022 I wonder who else we'll nominate before next Mondays deadline. I'll take a little stab and say these 3 are most likely our certainties. David Zaharakis Matt Buntine (Was training today in the ANB vision) James Munro

Well this will be awkward...

I do get that, but wasn't the whole idea of having our very own home base was so that we could finally be one whole club which would include players and administrator staff being in the one precinct and finally be free of having to share facilities with other sporting codes? Which other AFL clubs are sharing facilities with other sporting codes?
-
Yep. It's those little inside access that are seriously amazing. Goody's 3rd quarter time speech in calming the boys down with breathing exercise is priceless.
-
Ahh [censored].. I thought last night was good but I reckon this one is better. Wish it went longer. The small snippets of Goody talking during the game is gold. Wish there was more of that. I reckon that's Gus choking back tears at the end.
-
So am I correct that we're still going to be sharing head quarters with Melbourne storm and the likes?

Nice.. If someone could post a link afterwards that would be great!
