I have had the opinion for a few weeks now that we simply won't win the flag this year. Few factors. Our record against top 8 sides is poor and watching last night just proves that we had not adjusted or tweaked our game plan from the moment we lost to Freo. Not so much Freo, but the weeks leading up to that game where there was some concerns starting to creep through. Goody's stubbornness in not willing to bring new and fresh players into the team to mix up our structure and inject some fresh enthusiasm. We've had 1 [censored] debut player this year and that was Daniel Turner. To continue to remain a successful club you have to regenerate your team and bring in guys who can add a different element and layer into the side. Alastair Clarkson and Kevin Sheedy were always big on this. It's infuriating that he continues to pick the likes of Weideman, Melksham, Bedford who are either not up to AFL standard or are cooked which Melksham has for the past 2 years. These players are revolving doors for team selection. Our Casey team is 16-0 and he's refused to reward the blokes who are putting in the work week in and week out. He's too scared of dropping blokes like ANB, Jordon, Spargo Sparrow who haven't performed for a number of weeks now. Our team and game plan is completely one dimensional because clubs have simply worked us out and yet we haven't tweaked one bit of it to counteract what the opposition are now bringing to the table. We're two rounds off finals and we could be out of the top 4 by end of the weekend. That's infuriating in itself. Going into the finals with the form that we're in, doesn't bode well unfortunately and history will say that you have to be in tip top form with your game plan and structure. Right now ours is just out of wack, and I can't see how we drastically improved come finals when we've barely made much improvement since the middle of the year.

Their crowd noise was insane. It's like having a 23rd man really. When we ran out at the start of the game all I heard was boo's from Collingwood supporters and barely any cheers from us. They'll feed off their crowd noise come finals. Also, I know Jack Viney isn't the best media performer going around but I genuinely found this comment bizarre. In front of over 70,000 spectators, it was a battle between second and third in Round 21, and it lived up to the hype. “Tonight was a real finals-like atmosphere,” Viney said. “I think the Demon Army gave the Collingwood supporters a real good run for their money tonight. “Hopefully we finish with some big crowds to finish the season.”

Still livid. I went into last night's game so confident thinking that we'd finally turned the corner against freo and that our game from 2021 was starting to take shape again. How wrong was I.. We've learnt nothing from the initial Freo game when they gave us a touch up in the 2nd half. Our delivery inside 50, especially the deep pockets is really perplexing imo. Not only have clubs picked up on in by sitting players back in the hole we have no plan B when opposition start to pick off our entries. Kozzie, Spargo and ANB failed to single tackle inside forward 50... again! If you're not providing defensive pressure inside our forward half or getting to the drop of the ball, then honestly, they're next to useless because around ground they're not giving us much. I could go on and on but I won't. Hate it even more knowing it's a [censored] start to the weekend I'll be stewing on it for the next few days.

My first thought. Barely heard any cheers. Personally I thought they were quiet loud majority of the night. And to be frankly honest, we're not s club that makes big noise.

Even the Bulldogs game you could see our system was not standing up especially our forward half pressure. Missed opportunity to get Chandler and JVR amongst the team. Pretty sure we're the least team this year for players used. Sums it up really..

Looks completely shot with that knee giving him grief. Him being out there is an advantage to teams because they can work around him with such ease.

People just catching up now how horribly bad ANB has been the past few weeks. Forget about the talk of dropping him, he's untouchable unfortunately. Jordon and ANB both zap every ounce of momentum and transition change we have going just do to their terrible fumbling and poor awareness.

What's the point of bringing in guys like Chandler and JVR now.. We had genuine opportunities to give these guys a crack few weeks back when they were in form to try and get them up to scratch with our forward mix and structure, but no.. we've left it far too late in the season where wins are critical as due to potentially now missing top 4. Goody's stubbornness once again gets the better of him.

Genuinely still confused what Sparrow's role this year. Plays the bit role I'm guessing? For a midfielder, he barely has influence at all in games. 9 disposals tonight for 0 tackles.

Leaders went missing once again when the heat was turned up. Only one who genuinely tried to will us back in the game was Oliver.

Pathetic and shameful performance. We've learnt absolutely nothing this year. Complete flat track bully until too teams up their pressure and we crumble like butter. Defence? What the actual [censored] was that crap?

Nibbler is garbage. Everytime we try and transition our way through he feels the need to completely stop in his own tracks and take the tackler on. So infuriating

Have coughed it up way too easy this quarter. Pressure gone up and we've crumbled once again. It's our senior leader's once again letting us down when the heat goes up. So disappointing.

Here comes Collingwood. We've fed it right into their hands
