  1. Thought Benny Brown was moving well last night. Worked hard up the ground and took a few good contested marks. He'd be my in next week. Thought Spargo was poor. His body language was disappointing and didn't put a performance in that screams of someone desperate to get his spot back. He can stay at Casey for the next 4 weeks based on last night's performance. Vice versa on Harmes. This is his level now. Few attempts at don't argues and then just butchers going forward. Woewodin and Dunstan would be my first preference ahead of him. Thought Daniel Turner was super last night. Just cleaned up off half back and marked everything that came his way. Poor kid would be getting a game elsewhere in the AFL. Will Varrell has something. Don't know what it is, but his leap and timing was impressive.
  2. When you rush in a completely underdone Harrison Petty off a 6 week injury with zero match fitness over a fit, healthy and in form Adam Tomlinson then all it shows is our coaching staff have not learnt a single thing from last year. Viney is a machine but you can tell his body is copping a hammering. Do we bring in Dunstan to try and ease the load a little on him? Hibberd is cooked. People getting sucked in by a few good performance here and there need to accept the reality is that the fact we have to manage him with a week off every few weeks so his body is slowly breaking down. Got greatly exposed by Rohan on Thursday night which was sad to watch. He's been a warrior over the year but the club will tap him on the shoulder at years end. It's definitely catching up to Max. It was always going to come. I think it's purely an age and his body just starting to catch up with him. We have zero protection for JVR. He's literally taking the first defender as was his starting match up with De Koning on Friday night who's a bloody good up and coming defender. Watched the full Casey game last night and Benny Brown was moving around freely. Time to bite the bullet and just bring him. JVR needs an extra senior body to take the brunt of the number 1 defender. This should have been done weeks ago. Now that Kozzie has signed his contract he's just turned to crud. One of the best games I've seen him play was round 1 against the doggies where he was playing high midfield minutes and resting up forward We heard it all summer that he's been training with the mids and has bulked up etc. Hasn't played a single minute in the midfield for a number of weeks. Looks bereft of confidence and doesn't seem to be enjoying his footy. Why Goodwin has gone away from this experiment is completely bizarre. Not only has it taken the unpredictability of our midfield set up but the flair and speed in there.
  3. Taking advice off an Osteo that works at Essendon. I think there's your explanation right there on why you had hammie issues @Demons11....
  4. Yeah so that's where you actually stop running.....
  5. Ben Brown dominating taking a few big clunks
  6. Same usuals playing well at VFL. Dunstan, Turner, Woewodin, Tomlinson... Poor buggers.
  7. I've lost faith in Stafford. He can go at the end of the year.
  8. I'd actually like to see Varrell up forward more. Took some impressive contested marks in the pre season games.
  9. Dropped??
  10. I agree wholeheartedly. Not many people will like to admit it but Hibberd is cooked indeed. Has given us great service but Rohan torched him last night. Joel Smith would have been the perfect prototype match up for him but he's up forward. I was actually liking Smith's game until he only touched it once after half time and gave zero respect to Tom Stewart. I'm genuinely lost with selections now. Thought we learnt our lesson last year but we haven't. Same old favourites getting the same reward for [censored] poor form.
  11. Hahahahhahahhahahahha
  12. We swung Petty with 5 minutes to go in the last. Absolute panic station from Goodwin once again when the game was pretty much out of reach. Incredibly slow to react to the situation is Goody.
  13. But Howes adds outside skill and poise. Plays wing/half back exceptionally well. The 3 names you just mentioned have been playing consistent footy at VFL for zero reward. I'll add Bailey Laurie to the mix. Yet we continue to reward the same out of form players such as Jordon, Nibbler, Spargo, Petty, Langdon, Pickett who have all barely fired a shot this year. It's no wonder we let go of good little players like Toby Bedford because the club wanted to stick with their favourites in Spargo and ANB last year who were badly out of form
  14. Because it's Simon.
  15. I don't have Facebook old fella Try again.
  16. Would happily drop Ed Langdon. Never seen a more softer player then Cale Morton. Hates the physical contact and dropped simple easy marks because he heard foot steps. I would love to give Blake Howes a go but Goody hates rewarding good form at VFL level so we'll forget that one. Jordon has hopefully played his last game in the red and blue. He's a battler who's better off getting games at Norf. Great kid but. Nibbler will never get dropped so another that we can forget. Not sure why we even bother with team changes discussions. It's the same cycle each week with the same out of form favourites getting a game over blokes who are putting in good consistent form at VFL level.
  17. It should hold fear because we suck playing away from the MCG this year.
  18. Reminiscent of last year's game against Brisbane in the final. Goody [censored] himself and sticks Petty up forward when the game was just out of reach. So slow in being reactive to plan B.
  19. Where are they now? A few were happy to shut us down when this was raised as a significant concern after the Carlton game. Gone MIA it seems.
  20. The team selections was the start of a bizarre domino effect. Selecting a completely underdone Petty who's missed 6 weeks of footy and not made to go through the VFL over an in form player in Adam Tomlinson is an absolute disgrace. This selection completely stifled our defence which has looked it's best the last few weeks. Not only that, we keep a very vanilla player in James Jordon who btw has hopefully played his last game for the dees (needs to look elsewhere) in the team over Jake Bowey who would have added speed, kicking skills and metre gain in the wet. To make matters worse, he selects Charlie [censored] Spargo as a sub who was absolutely ineffective. The role of the sub is to use your players that come in and make a significant impact, not select slow midget small forwards. Why does Goodwin feel he needs to play the same players every single week when they're either badly out of form or not made to earn their spot? This is deja vu from last year. Playing the same boring soliders once again and not rewarding form. Onto the game: The forward set up tonight was an absolute mess. We reverted back to our old ways of just bombing it onto the heads of Pickett, Chandler and ANB who were playing on much taller defenders. We had no tall forward as last get out kick. I'm done with Stafford, he needs to go. We tried to play too cute in the wet. I was tearing my hair put that we were trying all these Hollywood handballs whilst Geelong played the percentages and just got the ball forward as quick as possible. Our ball movement was incredibly slow in wet conditions. I love Hibberd, but lets be realistic, he got taught a lesson by Gary [censored] Rohan.. thanks Hibbo, but retirement is coming your way at the end of the year. Brayshaw is a turnover slob ANB is a 🥔 in the wet and high pressured games. Just handed all the momentum to them on a platter. Very disappointing performance. They were missing Dangerfield, Cameron and Guthrie and we still could beat them.
  21. Unbelievable. Disgraceful performance
  22. Game over. Thanks Nibbler you absolute potato 🥔
  23. Death, taxes and Alex Neal Bullen fumbling in crucial moments of the game
