Both ourselves and Geelong will have a couple of best 18 players out by the look of it...I don't think we can use injuries as an excuse if we don't get up
  2. We’ve booted 19 and 18 goals in the first 2 practice matches, so given the available sample data so far we’re not missing Jack’s goal kicking ability much
  3. Trac is a raw excitement machine, he could be our most marketable player, not to mention game breaker, great news!

The shares in his company are up over 700% since listing on the ASX: wish word had got around I would have bought into the IPO for sure!

It will come down to player availability again: an injury list as bad or worse than this season and we will struggle

He was one of our best players in the second half of last year, especially in our great wins over Hawthorn and Port, and our near win against the Eagles in Perth. So we know what Dom can do at his best. Bit early to call for his axing or trade, sure he's not in top form at the moment but he can still be a key performer as he works into the season.
  7. I reckon Trac is already one of our most important players, his explosiveness and zone busting long kicks into the forward line are real weapons. He's also a brilliant overhead mark, one out he will beat a lot of players in the air this season. Haven't seen enough of McCartin to make a call on him, just hasn't managed to get himself on the park enough....but taking a shortish key position player with diabetes who doesn't display elite fitness and conditioning at #1 is a big risk.

Watched the replay last night, the kid's an absolute freak, he does things with his hands I'm not even sure Sam Mitchell could pull off! I can see why some experts say he will be better than Petracca or Hogan - nice argument to have at our club

His game yesterday was off the charts, absolutely unstoppable
  10. It'll happen, once a player and his manager publicly commit to another club, it always gets done.
  11. We need to get our top end of town Collins St supporters to make him the best under the table, brown paper bag deal dirty money can buy!!
  12. As other posters have said Hogan would be mad to go to team just starting it's rebuild: the pressure on him would be ridiculous. Hope like mad he stays but if he does leave we'll no doubt get another top 3 draft pick + whatever else we can squeeze out of the deal.
  13. He'd be mad to go to Freo who are going back to the start of their rebuild when we are finally coming out of ours. And screwing up his career by playing for boring-ass Ross Lyon!
  14. Already a more impressive player than the Toump and hasn't even debuted in the real stuff yet. How a #4 pick midfielder should look.
  15. It's hard not to feel that way...
  16. In just one completed season there isn't a player Melbourne fans have ever loved more....I can't image how much it's gonna hurt if he leaves in his absolute prime.
