  1. BB actually played very well for Casey last week when put in the ruck… he seemed to be playing less encumbered than he’s been recently. I don’t expect he’ll be attending any centre circle ball ups but I DO think he’s a certainty to come back into the seniors against North
  2. History tells us that pinning our hopes too soon on a forward prodigy is doomed to fail. Jack Watts says hello
  3. I believe Darling was overlooked because of other issues to do with members of the opposite sex
  4. I suspect that ‘banning’ the process of knees into the back will eliminate the whole concept of taking a hanger There’s only a handful of players who have the dexterity to leap above their opponent’s shoulders without including the back for liftoff
  5. Thankfully we’ve got the quality and depth at Casey to replace him… oh wait🤦‍♂️
  6. I’ve seen the ending
  7. Gawn - performed as expected Rivers - lost his dash Salem - poor under pressure vanRooyen - showed some energy Pickett - didn’t convert chances Windsor - couldn’t get involved Viney - off the pace Oliver - disposals were amateurish Fritsch - poor first half May - great after first Neal-Bullen - a disciplined performance Petracca - there goes season Sparrow - continued poor season Laurie - a schoolboy footballer Bowey - had little influence Turner - a year away Howes - two years away McDonald - impressive under pressure McVee - was rarely noticed Langdon - career worst game Billings - nothing to commend Chandler - was he playing? Petty - offered team nothing
  8. Gawn -overwhelmed and outplayed May - slow and frustrating Petty - embarrassing and inept Rivers - career worst performance Viney - disposals occasionally amateurish Sparrow - provided virtually nothing Chandler - lost all confidence Salem - loose and slow Hunter - useless before injury Fritsch - invisible until last Windsor - tired , seemingly disinterested Petracca - tried without influencing Neal-Bullen - couldn’t get started Tomlinson - seemed to care McAdam - not on field Pickett - played with passion McDonald - little to enthuse Langdon - tried but ineffective Bowey - loose but tried Turner - reserve grade quality McVee - career worst game Woewodin - made little difference Oliver - cared but limited
  9. Gawn - Brownlow votes again Viney - more energy displayed Bowey - resilient and impressive Rivers - great first half Neal-Bullen - played with passion May - loved his energy Salem - back in form Tomlinson - career best game Windsor - had limited involvement Oliver - performance gradually improved Petracca - class when required Pickett - brilliant in bursts McAdam - far from ready Petty -out for Jefferson Chandler - little to enthuse Fritsch - only cameos again Woewodin - a smooth mover vanRooyen - important but limited Sparrow - is looking tired Hunter - disposal was average Langdon - impressive first half McVee - reliable and skillful McDonald - was virtually impassable
  10. Upon retirement, it’ll be Max
  11. 2 month old golden retriever
  12. I was of the same mindset in my teenage years and the regret was profound after attempting to take a Russell Robertson type ‘hanger’ , losing balance , then landing on the steel fence, mouth first😱 6 months of dental therapy later, I was fortunately able to retain my bottom front teeth , 3 of which had been indented 45 degrees upon impact🤦‍♂️
  13. Gawn - played with heart Viney - without impact again Salem - some contested wins McDonald- tried but lacking McVee - given ridiculous tasks May - lost without mate Sparrow - little to commend Brown - embarrassing and unfit Fritsch - played in spurts Pickett - only dangerous forward McAdam - will be valuable Billings - Saints are laughing Oliver - poor decision making Petracca - couldn’t influence game Woewodin - not the worst Neil-Bullen - good in close Petty - unfit and limited Howes - little to commend Windsor - needs a rest Chandler - had no influence Bowey - just a game Rivers - loose and tired Lever - was desperately missed Fox footy coverage -commentary from hell
  14. Petracca - left nothing behind Neal-Bullen - in and under Gawn - fought the fight Viney - not a tagger Oliver - regularly butchered possessions Sparrow - energy and endeavour Windsor - persisted and energetic Billings - some innocuous possessions May - reliable and impressive Chandler - little forward pressure Rivers - important all game Langdon - rarely broke lines Bowey - an impressive return Lever - had no influence McDonald - some crucial errors van Rooyen - little to commend Howes - was rarely noticed McVee - a quiet game Pickett - a disappointing performance Fritsch - was well held Petty - riches to rags Woewodin - had some moments Turner - another nothing game
  15. Yes Robbie WAS taller but the comparisons were more to do with balance, agility, and timing.
  16. There’s much to like about this young man and as one who’s old enough to remember seeing Robbie Flower grace the MCG wings, not to mention having had a number of conversations with arguably the greatest ever Demon, I can definitely see many similarities between the 2, and hopefully their careers can be viewed parallel well into the future.
  17. Max - greatest ruckman ever Viney - desperation definitely returned May - all Australian form Lever - continued outstanding season Oliver - mistakes but persevered Petracca - great second half McDonald - strong and reliable Windsor - will be nominated Langdon - amazing running man Sparrow - strong in packs Petty - amazing marking performance Pickett - was always dangerous Fritsch - classy and important McVee - calm and controlled Neal-Bullen - some important efforts Rivers - great last quarter Billings - had little influence Chandler - needed more involvement Howes - settled in well Turner - no heroics today Woewodin - may have arrived vanRooyen - didn’t appear again
  18. Trac 1 kick for the half
  19. Gawn - what a heart Viney - seemingly playing injured Rivers - prolific and talented Langdon - an important component May - continued monstering opponents Lever - was essentially impassable Pickett - more rounded performance Turner - lively and impressive Neal- Bullen - in and under Howes - hard ball gets Billings - showed more endeavour Petracca - powerhouse when required McDonald - was impressive again Woewodin- not a defender Windsor - probably needs resting Oliver - seemingly still restricted Fritsch - important but nonchalant Sparrow - limited tagging performance McVee - some untypical errors vanRooyen - can’t hold marks Chandler - had limited impact Laurie - took his chances Petty - slow, rarely noticed
  20. I think the AFL shop sells them , and I bought one about 5 years ago from a privately owned sports memorabilia store in a shop on Victoria street adjacent to the Vic market. This store will be open on Tuesday
  21. Not sure if mentioned here yet but Gary Lyon on SEN this morning brought up the little known fact that Cameron has been FINED 5 times in his career for dangerous tackles.🤦‍♂️ He doesn’t have a spotless record like Pendlebury for example, and obviously hasn’t learnt from his soft feather warnings
  22. Gawn - our only winner Petty - Crows lose interest Fritsch - ineffective until last Oliver - career worst game Tholstrup - a year away Windsor - overwhelmed and irrelevant Brown - another nothing game Viney - tired and outplayed Sparrow - tried but lacking Howes - was rarely sighted Woewodin - future opportunities limited Rivers - had slight impact Petracca - rarely looked dangerous McDonald - continued impressive resurgence May - strong after first Lever - excellent after first McVee -looked tired throughout vanRooyen - another poor game Neal-Bullen - no heroics tonight Billings - far from convincing Chandler - had some moments Langdon - just a game
  23. 2 kicks in total for the half for Brown, Tholstrup, Fritsch, Windsor, vanRooyen, Pettty combined😱
