  1. Sinnema gives cause for great optimism.. he’s silky smooth and has a fair physique to build on
  2. Gawn - our only winner Viney - had no relevance Salem - the momentum killer Bowey - couldn’t get involved Petracca - loose and fumbly Sparrow - another nothing game Oliver - disposals were mindless May - time to go Langdon - lost his spark Rivers - was rarely noticed Petty - he did try Chandler - little to commend Pickett - season worst game Fritsch - season worst game Turner - was he playing Culley - disappointing and lost van Rooyen - season worst game Howes - thrown to wolves Langford - season worst game McVee - season worst game McDonald - nothing before substituted Sharp - couldn’t justify selection Melksham - had no impact
  3. Spoke passionately, honestly, and impressively just now on AFL 360 He’s gone out with class without the slightest recriminations or blame towards anyone
  4. In fairness to Jones, I sense that he did us a favour rather than the other way around. It’s not as if the door was being knocked down by experienced players wanting the job
  5. Notwithstanding his performances this season when his form was inconsistent, I’d back Rivers to assume the role. I heard him talking at a supporters’ function and he spoke confidently and eloquently, not to mention diplomatically when he was asked some leading questions. Very impressive young man and I imagine his movie star good looks won’t harm his cause
  6. Gawn - dominated without dominating Pickett - surprisingly imperfect disposals Salem - was generally safe Petty - regularly competed well Rivers - some brain fades Oliver - competed with passion Bowey - lost no admirers Culley - looks very likely Petracca - seemingly heavily burdened Turner - played effective role vanRooyen - had some involvement Fritsch - unsighted second half Windsor - season ending injury Langdon - past his prime Langford - strong running game McVee - often appeared lost McDonald - disciplined and impressive Chandler - little to enthuse Melksham - some important touches Viney - rarely disposed effectively Sparrow - little involvement again Howes - one valuable involvement Adams - tried but limited
  7. I will definitely not elaborate on names but I met 3 players out at breakfast this morning and none seemed overly fussed when I asked how they felt upon the Goodwin sacking. When asked about the possible incoming coach, Buckley got 2 nods and interestingly Hird got the other .
  8. It’s not as if Goodwin didn’t give him enough chances
  9. Based on the interview with Longmire just now on Fox Footy, it won’t be him
  10. A few years ago we rid ourselves of the Norm Smith curse after a coach was unreasonably removed …,,
  11. Thank you goodbye
  12. Gawn - more Brownlow votes Salem - outstanding four quarters Viney - prolific without dominating Oliver - valuable connection game Petty - good without opponent Pickett - unusually poor disposals Rivers - was always steady Fritsch - performance of old Bowey - classic backman’s game Chandler - praiseworthy second half van Rooyen - had some involvement Culley - a noteworthy debut Sparrow - regularly poor disposals Langford - impressive both ends Windsor - enjoyed centre involvement Langdon - wasn’t often sighted Turner - May’s heir apparent Howes - safe and composed Melksham - had limited involvement McDonald - deserves another year McVee - had little involvement Sharp - had no influence
  13. Which Casey games have you been watching? His form never warranted it until a few weeks ago
  14. Gawn - workmanlike brilliant display Viney - the tackling machine Rivers - great defensive drive Fritsch - outstanding first quarter Pickett - brilliance when required Oliver - hard ball getter Bowey - continued keeping on Petracca - exciting in bursts Chandler - some clever involvement Howes - safe and improved Salem - good decision making Sparrow - was rarely noticed Langdon - unusually quiet game Melksham - limited but important McVee - just a game Turner - safe and solid Lindsay - enjoyed goals finally Langford - great first half McDonald - was always steady Petty - not on field Windsor - not a tagger VanRooyen - continued to underperform Spargo - had no influence Brereton - biggest [censored] ever Kelli Underwood- irritating beyond words Dwayne Russell - irritating beyond Underwood
  15. Apologies Chook, I’ve just realised I repeated some of your Gawn’s attributes. Great minds think alike
  16. An obvious career in the media post football awaits.. he’s a very funny and articulate performer
  17. Personally I see Kentfield as THE solution to our forward woes. He’s big, strong, agile, not afraid of body contact, can crash packs , and can kick accurately, unlike the work experience kids who are currently being gifted games.
  18. Gawn - beat two opponents Pickett - genius at work Rivers - prolific without hurting May - great after first Salem - same as Rivers Oliver - tried without influence Langdon - barely influenced proceedings McVee - has checked out Bowey - maintained his momentum Fritsch - always looked dangerous Viney - mindless disposals again Petracca - was well held Langford - quiet second half Chandler - a nothing game Windsor - continued downward trend McDonald - made few errors Turner - was rarely noticed Sharp - had no influence van Rooyen - was almost average Jefferson - far from ready Melksham - no heroics today Tholstrup - two years away Lindsay - a long year
  19. I had an MRI this morning and the nurse in charge asked me what music I’d like fed into the headphones I was given to drown out the thumping vibrations of the machine , and I was obliged with the soothing sounds of the Dees’ ode of joy.. on repeat for 12 minutes I hope I hear it again tonight.
  20. I’m pretty sure it was John Ralph who stated last week on one of Foxtel’s footy shows that Fritsch loves the Demons and is not going anywhere
  21. Gawn - excellent from centre Viney - bullocking of old Petracca - great after first Fritsch - four quarter effort Melksham - smart and important Lever - a slow liability McVee - little to enthuse Pickett - always looked dangerous McDonald - never drop again Salem - regularly intercepted well Tholstrup - one important disposal Swallow - an indecipherable role Rivers - just a game Langford - impressive four quarters Turner - strong after first Oliver - a solid game van Rooyen - good in bursts Jefferson - finally showed promise Chandler - some clever touches Langdon - valuable running game Bowey - not as noticeable Lindsay - obviously has tired Windsor - had no Input
