  1. Wasting opportunities big time so far. Inside 50s 7/0 for 2 behinds
  2. Why did Hogan run hard right to take that set shot???
  3. Players looking greasy already, could be a slippery pill tonight ?
  4. Nah Mums tougher (Hi Dad? (he gets on here a bit))! bloody cold in winter, so the olds are thawing out in Darwin for a long weekend ?
  5. If you bump into my dad while your up there say helllo for me. He lives not far from you actually, in Trentham. Edit: Sorry meant to send this to Bitter!
  6. Cheers for both posts TC. Enjoy the game ???
  7. Hey Tarax My Mum and Dad are up your way for the game and a weekend of R+R. Dads actually a member here on Demonland but he is old and having password issues (he will be reading this by the way, hi Dad?). He called and asked me to ask you if there is anything happening before the game either formal or informal in the local area that fellow Demon supporters can attend? Cheers in advance ?
  8. When the club asked for members to donate old scarves to give out to newbies today, I’m not sure that’s the receptical you were suppose to put it in! ? (Though that’s where it belongs because we stink)
  9. A couple of things on this: - there is no home ground advantage at the MCG for any side because it is a communal ground. All clubs play there enough for it to be a known quantity and none train there (so can’t know every detail like say Geelong can with kardinia) It’s super reliable, has a predictable and some would say perfect playing surface and is largely unaffected by wind. - we train on a ground that is significantly narrower than the MCG unlike many other teams particularly Collingwood which trains on a ground the exact dimensions of the MCG - we experience limited crowd advantage at the G when compared to interstate and Geelong based teams due to low supporter base and the fact that there are more interstate teams supporters in Melbourne than there are Melbourne supporters in Perth/Sydney/Adelaide - our game plan looks like a steaming pile of [censored] at the MCG and it seems we aren’t interested in correcting it All in all, I wish my dad followed Fitzroy (rather than the demons) like his dad before him because al least I would have seen 3 premierships by now!
  10. Just out of interest, did anyone know Fitzroy have a higher winning percentage than us on all time games?
  11. That’s all nice, but how about tinkering with the way we deliver the ball inside 50. We don’t have any injuries there so you would think we would have that sorted by now. Simple fact is that we lost the game in the forward half last week not the back half
  12. Pretty hard to measure or quantify I would say, but I’m very confident that if we had the training facilities of some of the wealthier clubs we would be better than what we are. How much better again would be impossible to measure. Would we be better by enough of a percentage to win the game on Friday night? Maybe, maybe not. Again impossible to measure. What I’m very confident of is that if we were to train on a ground the same width as the MCG, we would be a damn sight better on the MCG. Enough to have won the Geelong game I would say. So in short, yes I do think better facilities will help us win games.
  13. If great training facilities don’t help you win games, why are just about every other club investing millions into theirs rather than spending it on something else? Must just be for the bling factor I guess?
  14. This got Lockett 8 weeks in 1994: Surely with tougher penalties now, Cameron will be out for similar. Access all areas on afl website are talking 4-5 which seems way low for my mind.
  15. Lost that in the first half with so much wasted opportunity. We had them complete on toast but persisted with the long bomb inside 50 to a pack of 10 players system which NEVER works for us. Just dumb footy. umpiring sucked bad but we lost that ourselves
  16. Any chance we can aim for the chest of our blokes rather than 5m behind the when their leading up
  17. See that from hogan, right spot, just happened the ball went to tmac who was 5m away
  18. Yes actually people were having a go if you look back over the thread. One poster called for him to be dropped. 4 times he’s been in excellent position and it’s been kick either over his head or with pinpoint accuracy to his opposition who was behind or to the side of him. Had we have kicked those to his advantage you’d be singing a different tune
  19. For those getting stuck into hogan, he has covered the 5th highest distance on the ground. He’s working hard but not being rewarded by his team mates
  20. Having the ball kicked over his head continually
  21. Can someone please learn to kick it to hogan not over his head!!!
  22. The umpire deemed that his eyes had strayed outside the line of the mark so clearly play on
  23. TOMMY!!!!! ???
