Haha so much negativity... I thought we played a really exciting brand of footy in patches! First quarter killed us obviously but it was a flip of the coin at 3 quarter time. North just outclassed us in the end. How good was the midfield in that third quarter?! Hogan a star Tyson getting some serious form back Dawes played his best game Viney keeps building on a fantastic year Also Vince and Jones had really quiet ones and we were still in it for a lot of the game... am i right to suggest that there was a bug going around at the club as well? i think i heard that somewhere. I really don't think Watts played that bad... I mean a drop off in previous recent games but he took a couple of good marks and made some good decision. Granted he made some poor ones but he is a play-maker. He opens the game up with his kicking... it's risky and sometimes it doesnt pay off but when it does we look fantastic.

I can't wait for Watts to become a bonafide star of the AFL. The guy is gonna turn into the most loved Demon when he starts consistently tearing games apart. It'll be the feel-good turnaround of the decade. Go Watts!

Watts has had his best year! Pure class. Love when he has the footy and has improved on his urgency tenfold. I think i read somewhere that Watts has better stats across all areas than Goddard did in the same amount of time.

I'm a little confused about the hate for Tyson this year. Sure he hasn't had his 2014 year but he is only 22 and still averaging 21 touches a game. If I remember correctly did he not have an interrupted pre season as well? Also his goal from the stoppage yesterday was reminiscent of what he did last year... the guy has talent! ... surely we aren't making him a scapegoat already?!

I dunno... maybe we are all overreacting a bit? I was as shattered as the next guy but when we turned it on on the weekend (albeit in short bursts) we looked as pretty as i've seen us in years. This week and last. There's a lot to like I reckon. Think about the turn around in players we've had in the past year. It's all about consistency in the game and the season. We can all agree the young talent is there. Brayshaw, Hogan, Salem, Tyson, Toumpas, Mcdonald, Viney, Petrecca. Dare I say even Watts. It's a core group we can really build around. All of those guys (minus petrecca) have shown signs in the last year or two that they can be great. If they can keep developing at the rate they are now then we have the potential to be a very good team. Keep faith! Let's judge us at the end of the season. Not round 11.

Got me... I just wanna play with Jesse Hogan so badly.

This kid has all the attributes to be a jet. Drafted pick 53 in 2011 by the Hawks but didn't manage a full year of football until last year. Absolutely terrible luck with injury... two knee recos (I know)... but his upside seems to be huge. Limited opportunities at Hawthorn (only 2 games) but won the Liston trophy in the VFL last year and just won the Gibbs-Lines medal for best on ground in the Box-Hill vs Coburg game. His stats: 36 possession (23 contested) Seven inside 50s Eight Clearances A risk with injuries but this guy looks like he has a bright future ahead of him if he can stay on the park. Tough as nails and polished... I would love for the dees to make a play in the off-season. What do you guys reckon? (also it's my first post... hello demonland!)
