  1. What went wrong for T Smith.? Ive never actually heard why he was a late out
  2. generally speaking, looking back, hindsight, reflection and all that...I feel as though 90% of the time he has been absolutey [censored]. Always bemused then frustrated by what he actually brings. Slowest footballer Ive ever witnessed, seemingly even slower 'upstairs' on critical plays. Seemingly zero grunt. Have we ever seen him physically impose himself? It's a strange one. But he was OK in our finals push and so on last year or was he not? I remember thinking once or twice 'shi*, he's playing well.' I remember it because it felt odd to think that about him. But, in conclusion, he does seem to be sh*^house.
  3. Same as me. Completely f'ed up. My 6 year old last night asked if he could barrack for Geelong. 9 year old daughter jumped ship two years ago against my will with the words 'they're just no good dad' (chose West Coast). Another ten year old son is sticking fat but he is severely traumatised. My daughters point was spot on. We are a [censored] football club. Won 1 Lost 5. Bottom of the ladder. Melbourne Football Club.
  4. Yes they will. We have little chance and even less hope. We're absolutely f'ed.
  5. They all would. They would then play really good football.
  6. reiwoldts answer tonight on how the club brings in youngsters so seamlessly: 'ahh, we have a game plan thats pretty simple really. It only requires effort". He then wore an expression of someone who had mistakenly let the cat out of the bag.
  7. Wow. Pathetic execution of skills. Pathetic. Easily the worst team in comp at the moment. by far. Well done Maxy. Thats it. Season over. Some fan just interviewed on channel 7 said she feels sorry for the players, the club and the fans. A couple more losses and we'll be back in that familiar spot of people having pity on us. What a shame. A middle aged woman 'feels sorry' for a bunch of young, fit, professional footballers. Thats where we're at.
  8. Very much agree. I am still traumatised by the dark days. 100% trauma. Even after our run last year and gradual improvement. I support in absolute fear and can't shake it. But last night I said to my boys when 22 down, if we can get out of this then it is a very good sign.
  9. thanks mate. as ridiculous as it sounds I couldnt find the jese hogan thread and assumed that their had to be one. Im a bit of an online dud so Ive clearly ballsed something up.
  10. We haven't come so far yet as to not need this man next year. One more, final serviceable year please. On another random note and I would appreciate if a fellow d-lander could clear this up for me: Freo today reported as offering no. 11 pick and future second rounder for Hogan. Sam Maclure reports this is about to fall thru. I thought we were seeking Freo and Brisbanes 5 and 6 picks with all that Lachie Neale hoo haa thrown in. Anyway, if the deal falls through and he stays next year in the final year of his contract is he then able to leave if he so wishes and we receive nothing? So, 5/6 sounds fair for a talent like him at 23 years of age or whatever he is. But Freo by saying 11 and future second rounder don't value him as much as we (which is always the norm when trading important players) . so my questions: Might Hogan say F.U. Freo? If deal falls thru is it likely we stitch him up for another couple? Have Freo been advised his foots not right and thus backing off on a picks 5/6 trade? Or is this just normal hardball negotiation where the two sides will meet in the middle? I don't know wtf I am asking? Can someone please just tell me his foot is alright, he will sign for us another 2-3 years and be the superstar that we have hoped for? Or could someone please tell me that we will get two picks in the top 10. Someone tell me something that gives me hope. Please. If you don't mind and have the time.
  11. What are the rumours surrounding Vandenburg can anyone tell me please?
  12. Agree. He's gone through heaps. Been away from home since he was 16. experienced perspective forming tragedies. He's homebound is Jesse.
  13. Carn the Dees! Thanks for an exciting ride young Demons. Thanks for giving my young kids some awesome early footy final memories. Good on you Goody for doing a great job. I was a doubter. I take it back. Lets just be in the mix the next few years.
  14. funny stuff. i remember thinking the other night similar things. They look like us. Fans. brilliant.
