I miss COVID & being 'built for finals'

'Built for finals' maybe but now looking also 'Knackered for finals'. Hugging the wing all year rather than using corridor. Outnumbered around fall of ball & tired errors & decision making. Rarely roving Maxy's taps. We'll get over Lions & go down swinging, learn and reset. Get Burgo back somehow

I will be patting my knee rug tonight & very firmly - if wearing gloves. Seriously though, anyone who lobs up tonight will get in somehow. Won't be raining. No excuses Dees fans.

MCC hardly a privilege in these corporate-deal days. Complete nose-bleeders in pocket after clicking for Level 1's for too long. How the Hell could Level 1 exhaust in 7 minutes? Level Q is like a vacuum even when filled. Beats watching on tellie though.

Mid eighties, when I was a young teen, there was a cropped haired redhead who would stand in the bleaches of the 'G, Jolimont end. There every single game, like me, & be looking away from the ground, with a 'who wants some?' stare. He was the Dees version of 'the firm'. Feared him & admired him at same time as these were days when you would draw fire from anyone purely for wearing our jumper - this guy had the look of 'bring it'. Saw him get into trouble w/ police a few times. Always wondered what became of him, I doubt he's on here, but hope he is & that he lived to see 2021. Thats the fascinating thing about familiar faces at the 'G. I still see people I've seen for 40 years of going - we all share the same love/devotion & have lived through the same dark ages - even though we don't speak it doesnt matter - there's a connection.
