  1. 10.5 over 7 sounds made up and would make him the highest paid player in the afl, but if true dees should take freo to the cleaners you can’t offer that kind of contract and only offer peanuts in a trade. 2 picks in side 5 or there Brayshaw and a pick inside 5, either would the minimum
  2. Won’t be back before finals if true even at the low end
  3. The spell is broken we are no longer the bench mark, least we got 2021, now we scrap it out with everyone else
  4. Garbo replied to rpfc's topic in Melbourne Demons
See if Wilson criticises her beloved tigers with the same zeal as she did us this week. Some how I think she will conveniently forgot or make up an excuse
  5. So one match for drinking while on concussion protocol, nothing for punching Melksham 😀
  6. Think the knock on Tomlinson is unwarranted, he was asked to play the Steven May role once Petty was injured and he ain’t no Steven May, he is fine as the 3rd / 2nd tall imo if May is back next week and we wanted to try Petty up forward for example. Lever also should get some criticism for leaving Tomlinson out to dry when he is the senior player with May out, he needed to play a more negating role and be less attacking.
  7. Keep Tomlinson down back and put petty up fwd he showed in 2019 I think he can kick goals
  8. Signs have been there all year of the drop off in some aspects since last year combine that with a few injuries and we are back in the pack. Until we can generate more scores per entry we are going to be vulnerable to the better teams. We were lucky we were so accurate to start and swans missed chances or the game could have been over at half time
  9. No May no dees
  10. Gawn is super
  11. Only works as May and petty are out, May in particular has allowed us to get away with some bad habits
  12. Can Goodwin just concede we need to even up numbers round ball when we are undermanned down back like tonight, we will throw away this game if they don’t adjust to that reality, we should have enough talent in the middle if we just make it a contest at the ball
  13. Not the only one we have fallen into a trap of relying on our backs to just win it back, our mids need to work harder to compensate if we are to win
  14. To be fair we wouldn’t have depth either to cover that
  15. Doubt it was on much it’s not like he was in demand, if he turned it round we get a player for minimal outlay if he doesn’t then nothing lost. The real question is do we continue to persist or give other players a chance. Not necessarily jvr, in the here and now Mitch Brown might also deliver more
  16. Any idea what the issue with Petty is, if he is out plus May we really going to struggle to contain the swans. If Trac still has issues he shouldn’t be playing next week either. One thing is certain we need to come into next week with no passengers. Salem and Landon straight back in if fit for Melksham and Dunstan , Tomlinson for May. Wish I had ideas with the fwd line as a whole, like what I see with bedford and Pickett is fairly productive, everyone else is problematic to some degree or another.
  17. Not to worried, until petty went off we were winning handily, maybe our mids and fwds were a bit down but still had it in control. More concerning is if this happened in a final and we don’t have a plan b to fall back to, with the talent on our list we should be able to overcome and adapt
  18. Goodwin the right man for the job
  19. Think weid will have a big game tomorrow, I,m more concerned with our ball movement, no Salem and now no Langdon, that’s our first and second kicks in the rebound chain out.
  20. I just find it interesting that they are comparing a team who has so far won one flag to teams that won 3 or more, of course at this stage all the names won’t pop of the page to the non initiated but if we end up winning 3 or so I’m sure they will, who’s to say Tom Sparrow won’t be a future hall of famer when he is done
  21. Not worried until they can stop teams scoring 80+ every week and get that number down into the low 60s. They are very much like the dogs last year when things are on there terms they look fantastic but soon as another team gets on top at some point they leak goals. No team can dominate for 4qtrs and no chance they would vs us, but dees can defend for 4qtrs and still get a score. If we have a near full strength backline when we play they will get all of 3-4 goals for there period of dominance but we will get 7-8 during ours and that will be the difference at the end of the day.
  22. Only need to look what happened when they played freo a few weeks back, and that team is a pale imitation of us. Blues biggest issue will be limiting us to under 80-90 points as I’m fairly certain we won’t let them get more than 60 or so , if they can do that then maybe they would have a chance
  23. Sounds like fyfe is a better than even chance of coming back this week so the middle is going to be a big factor in the game. We really missed Viney round the contest last week so hopefully he hasn’t done anything major but I suspect he will be out for one more. If Salem is fit I’d bring him straight back in and move Brayshaw into the middle and play Vineys role. If Langdon is unable to get up then the only outs I’d have are Melksham and Dunstan with Bedford staying in
  24. Just shows how hard it is to be up every week, why our 10 in a row is so impressive
  25. Blues have quite the injury list atm if the can get there best 22 on the park they will be as dangerous as anyone else, I still think we are a level above everyone but I could just as easily see blues in a grand final vs us as anyone. Rounds 22 and 23 will be quite interesting, will anyone show there cards and go all out or will it be saved for the weeks after
