  1. Think clubs and supporters need to be more mature about trades, if he is a net positive still then you hold him to the contract, for the clubs part maybe they should also be more transparent at what is happening so there isn’t this speculation, if they know he is gone say so and we can just enjoy what time he has left
  2. He might go but it won’t be this year so better get another flag in 2023
  3. Just the SA media nothing of note yet, they would have to offer some insane overs given he still has a year left and we would want him for next year even if we knew he was gone post 2023
  4. On the back of winning the first 10 games. Not saying he doesn’t deserve another year but we won’t be contending if we only have one tall fwd again next year.
  5. Seems Georgiades is in dees sights, great pick up if we can get it done.
  6. Difference between this year and last year is fitness, we look good in first half's but have consistently faded, if we could play out games we would still be in finals. Tmac is a huge out not because he is a great player but the role he plays and the structure he brings. Teams have now also had 2 years to adjust to our game style and work on counters. No use pinning for Curnow Elliot and McKay you have to work with what you have and maybe try and find a roughie from another team. We didn’t even try Vanrooyen all year or bring Petty fwd when we had coverage in Tomlinson down back. Dont get beaten by what you know I always say, but safe to say Goodwin hasn’t learned that lesson yet
  7. Hopefully this forces Goodwin to face some realities, His refusal to play a 2nd tall once Tmac was injured and Weid didn’t work out was just stupid. Our fitness is a major issue the fact we couldn’t run out games most of the year is a complete 180 on last year, Selwyn Griffith clearly not upto filling Burgess shoes some one new need to be brought in. Our entires fwd are to predictable and slow. Percentage play they may be but when everyone know where it’s going it’s to easy to counter by the good sides. One of our defensive smalls fwds need to make way for a more attacking player like Bedford or the like. Not worried about loosing Jackson now, I don’t think he cuts it as a fwd and we have Gawn for now in the ruck where he belongs. Use the money to get a genuine tall fwd.
  8. So when does the our mid season loading kick in
  9. Not confident we will run this game out, think lions will make a run late, we have wasted our chances to gap them
  10. Not sure I agree with anb seems to be getting caught like always
  11. Petracca looks no better than last week, already limping in the warmup
  12. JVR in calling it now
  13. Won’t know till we try but he’s done more than enough to earn that chance
  14. With Melbourne been the only party in the race hard to think pies will have any barging power particularly if him going is contingent on them bringing other players in. They might be stuck between a ruck and a hard place
  15. Now we are in finals we need to be playing with making the grand final in mind by resting players and making changes with that in mind, we should be aiming to win the lot even at the risk of going out in straight sets. No point winning this week if it all but guaranteed we lose to cat because trac is on one leg and we still have a non functioning fwd line. I’m not here to celebrate top 4 finishes and say well done
  16. No point limping over the line this week just to loose the week. That been the case we should be setting ourselves up for the prelim at this weeks expense. Rest Trac and bring in Dunstan this is what he was here for. Additionally time to drop Anb and Melk and bring in Bedford and Vanrooyen and give ourself the chance to kick a score. For whatever defensive pressure ANB might debatably have over Bedford he’s not hurting the scoreboard and I’d argue he’s costs us goals when he has the ball. As for Melksham he had a great game a few weeks back but it’s simply not working with only 1 tall. We need to risk failure if we want greatness.
  17. But 0-5 vs other top 4 sides. All good and well if you happy just making up numbers come finals
  18. The dumb kick to the pocket is a result of moving the ball to slowly round the boundary, the only time we won’t do this is if there is options to hit up which typically won’t be the case if we go slowly round the boundary. If you compare the lions game to the swans in one we had free players on the lead to kick to the other we had no space so the kick to the pocket is the only option.
  19. Looks like mcc stuffed up the seating, was on right at 9am and only the under cover bays on level 1 were available to select, nothing fwd of that
  20. Think we can definitely call this bunk, dees have been a first half team most of the year and specifically the 2nd half of the season and last night was no different. We simply don’t have the fitness to run out games and the difference between last year and this year is night and day. If we did any special loading it has had absolutely no positive effect.
  21. Our fwd line just can’t function under pressure and slow ball movement. Can’t see us getting a winning score vs Cats assuming we make it that far. To be any chance of the flag this year we are going to have to start playing with some dare not unlike cats did this year.
  22. Hopefully are all done with the jitters, if we clean up or disposal we will get on top
  23. Need to put trac fwd if the corky doesn’t improve, liability at the centre clearance
  24. Why aren’t dees going after Mitch Georgiades, apparently he is gettable but seems to be nothing in the wind about him talking to us. Ditto Ratugolea can’t get a run with Hawkins and Cameron in the team, surely also worth a look, always liked his attack on the ball could be a good replacement for tmac given he looks to be on his last legs.
  25. That was quite pleasing, all the media pumping tigers up all week, saying a flag is possible. What have they got to say now, lost to a lions side playing very average football.
