  1. Think be good to see a fwd line with one tall and melksham, fritsch and smith playing more mobile, question is if Gawn goes off jvr needs to ruck and we have no tall fwd
  2. Sounds like a bug has been going round the club, wouldn’t be surprised if there is a few late changes on Sunday.
  3. Lucky for us our game is after all the other results are known, I can’t imagine we would loose deliberately if we were going to finish 3rd with a win and play lions or port but I could foresee us resting some players if we have a game with pies locked in
  4. Seems like Fritsch will be back this week, I’d guess that either means Smith out or goes back. Personally I only like him up forward. Today showed we need a 2nd tall we have to give Tmac a run if he is ready, not sure who would make way for him however logic would say it’s Melksham but on form that couldn’t happen, that would only leave a small like Chandler, ANB or Laurie, we definitely need more from our smalls none really fired a shot today. I can’t see Tomlinson keeping his spot, either Smith goes back or Hibbo comes in, personally I’d prefer Hibbo since he gives stability and will let May and Lever concentrate on there game.
  5. Port tanking to play pies over lions
  6. Not just that but his either lost his man or given to much space on numerous occasions, at least 4 of there marks inside 50 I’d attribute to him
  7. Can we sub Tomlinson off, complete liability not sure why he was bought into the team
  8. Goal or not we were outplayed tonight and the blue deserved that win more than we did, they came to play and kept the pressure up for 4qtrs while we chose when to go tonight.
  9. Fwd line was a shambles again, wont be going far unless they can solve that for finals
  10. I’d keep Smith in the 22 only if we play him as a fwd, Pig gets elevated to the 22 from sub and Harmes is the only out for Oliver. I wouldn’t be messing round with Grundy, Brown or Tmac fwd, Fritch will be back for finals and will be a direct replacement for Smith then.
  11. All the worry over the best 22 once Oliver and Frisch back problem solved
  12. Interesting no excuse then I guess
  13. Always like this down there, that end has all the scores. Next qtr they just need to go defensive and counter punch them in the last with the wind
  14. My Sunday unexpectedly just freed up,
  15. I’ll hold judgment till half time, but if this continues might just be the upset of the year, we are really trying to outdo the pies
  16. Tigers started going down the line rather than running the ball through the mid, maybe a result of tiring
  17. Top 3 all loosing knew it was too good to be true we win
  18. Garbo replied to Nascent's topic in Melbourne Demons
Probably a late 1st at best or 2nd round pick, you never see a player or his height go early due to the perceived lack of upside, if we keep it more then likely we could get him with freos 2nd round pick
  19. Watching yesterday it once again became apparent we are susceptible when we can’t force teams down the line for May and Lever to intercept. Crows did it via short kicks and marks and finding a target till they were in range. Last week it was the lions moving the ball through the corridor which they inexplicably abandoned in the last qtr once they felt the game was safe. Essendon from memory also refused to go down the line earlier in the season when we played. It also explains why we struggle in wet conditions where intercept marking is more difficult. How can this be mitigated or is this a potential fatal weakness and just the reality of how we choose to play and we knowingly accept this trade off. Also what are your feelings on smith, he was the spark we needed in the final term, do you think he should be in the starting 22 over Brown.
  20. Onto next week won’t be watching that game again. Awful, absolutely lucky crows couldn’t kick straight, they mainly refused to go down the line and took the short kick which we seemed unwilling or unable to stop, while we seemed content to just bomb it fwd
  21. The way this has gone we are definitely going to give crows a look at some point this qtr
  22. Feel like I’m back watching dees v gws from a few weeks back
  23. Jefferson seems behind where JVR was the same time last year, expect he might take another year
  24. From what I’ve read you can only finish within your bracket, so even if a team in the 1-6 bracket after round 17 lost every game the lowest they can finish is 6th. I personally don’t mind this setup as it makes the draw more equitable. It also makes every game in the 1-6 and 7-12 brackets effectively 8 points games for the remainder of the year. The only downsides I can see is games between teams in 13-18th bracket are pointless making their season is over sooner. And it leaves less of a mystery where each team stands come finals in the other brackets as they will have all played each other just prior.
