Based on the latest Oliver time line it will be at minimum a 7 week Hamstring if he comes back next week. Given he was allowed to play out the game that is pure negligence by our fitness and team doctors to risk our best player like that, it may well end up costing us top 4 and a chance at a flag this year.

Just illustrating that even more talls than we went into the game with wouldn’t help on last night in that weather. As for Stewart if the goal is to stop him perhaps we shouldn’t have had 2 inexperienced talls in smith and vanrooyen play together, sure bring petty fwd and keep Tomlinson in the team but you need to drop smith or vanrooyen then

More talls wouldn’t help tonight, our players just didn’t adapt for conditions where marking is going to be hard. Lowering the eyes or moving the ball more directly so our smalls can get it out the back without the other teaming having time to setup

We need to be smarter going fwd our key fwds are barely capable of halving a contest let alone wining it. Giving our smalls no chance to crumb a goal. No way do we run the table, top 2 is now out of the question and top 4 is really on the line, we can probably only afford to loose 2 more from here if we want to hold onto the double chance

So it that the excuse next week of a 9 day break again if we loose

Disappointing how far can we go with a fwd line this inefficient, find it hard to think we can win a flag this way

Sure as you extend it out the numbers look better, but we clearly do have a backlog of untried or barely tried players from the last 3 drafts let alone more for this year coming up, as only 2 of those 8 picks (7 of which were under pick 40) taken in the national draft have found a regular spot in the 22 we would have been better off trading up for a single pick in each of those years and gone after generational talent.
