  1. So McKay kicked 6 vs lions a few weeks back and 4 vs pies does that rule out Andrews and Moore for aa lol, this guys logic is so flawed. If Mckay kicks any less than 4 then by the same logic May is better than both
  2. Hate when I see him go in there, don’t think I’ve seen him do anything useful at any of the centre bounces he’s attended all year unlike Pickett who often creates some chaos.
  3. Trac is currently on 66 games with out a miss he will play not the type to miss from a niggle
  4. So apparently Jones was set to be named prior to injuring himself today, seems there was one other change beyond Jackson. I’d speculate Melksham hopefully this doesn’t mean he is back in.
  5. Has to be Weid in for Jackson, as good a time as any to see over the next 2 weeks if 3 genuine tall fwds is better than 2 and a resting ruck. If all 3 fire and Gawn is still as effective round the ground then on balance it might be a better mix, thing is we won’t know till we try.
  6. Heard Gawn say much in an interview this year that the team got ahead of them self leading into those games and didn’t treat them with the respect they deserved, might be a bit of revisionism on his part but still interesting that’s how they see it now.
  7. If you go back over the last decade most years a team starts 10-1 give or take a game and there after goes 50/50. In almost every instance that team still finished 1st or 2nd. We have already committed to the fast start no point trying to change it up now or even worrying about it, just ride this wave as far as it goes and reassess when things turn. Until we have our spot locked up wherever that is I hope the club just takes one week at a time and doesn’t fall into the trap of saving them self for the next weeks game, that’s what cost us up in Caines last season.
  8. I’d like to see Harmes play fwd in Melkshams role, and Sparrow to come in for Melksham. Assuming Viney is still injured. Other than that no change. Having said all that I don’t think any changes we make are going to be the difference so not fussed either way.
  9. I think your alone there, although he does seem to have a few more bandages every week so something will probably catch up with him eventually and give him a week off anyway
  10. With Petty a confirmed in, I can only see one other change happening and that will be Sparrow or Harmes for Viney. I don’t see Goodwin making any unforced changes this week.
  11. What a difference a few wins makes, not only to resign, but for life and at slight unders, shows how much of a clubman he is.
  12. If Fritsch is out and Viney missing a few, I’d like to see Weid and Sparrow both come in. The only question then is does Tmac go back or stay forward. If back then I’d like to see Bedford or Kade Chandler be given a run, other wise Petty comes in down back for Tomlinson.
  13. Maybe this is one for the Thread, just 12 more to go lol
  14. Wonder what the longest a player has gone since debut without a loss
  15. Ben Brown if he is to play fwd in place of Tmac (on the the assumption he is going back) needs to get up the ground more and be a link man, the real strength of tmac this year was his work round the ground not the goals he kicked. He gets a pass today being his first week in but going forward he needs to contribute more. The same for Weid when he gets his chance. Unless they can kick 3-4 a week the talls need to do more in other ways. 2 goals and 5 touches won’t cut it
  16. Our issues in the first half and the turn round were not a result of Ben Brown playing or not playing, it was the result of north getting possession in the middle under little or no pressure and being able to deliver into there f50, our return from our own inside 50s didn’t change throughout the game north’s supply and quality of entry simply dropped off.
  17. Feeling is at least a week. He chose to raise the elbow got the player high. The only mitigating factor is he had the ball.
  18. Well at least it should be obvious to even Goodwin now, so hopefully this is the last we see of him
  19. We clearly came out expecting the win probably best that it’s north and not swans next week
  20. Not that it will matter for this game but I think we need to bring in another mid for rotations now Jones is out, Kade Chandler and Sparrow both seem to be up and about in the game on Friday I’d like to see one of them brought in for a Fwd as we seem to have one to many, as many have said first out for mine is Melksham but I’m sure Goodwin will probably drop 21 other players before him so who knows.
  21. Not sure Gerard Healy is any more an expert on such things than you or I, either way I wouldn’t be putting any faith that Wied is the future down fwd for us. He is a nearly 24 year old in his 5th year of AFL football played under 50 games and only averaging just over a goal a game. Those aren’t the number of someone who is going to be a star. Hogan in the same time with the club played 71 games and kicked over 150 goals all despite battling multiple injuries and off field issues and he is considered a failure. I think people need some perspective on Wieds career he is a middle of the road player at best.
  22. It could work but you can’t swap a Ben Brown for a Small, it would have to be for a mid size like Melk or Fritsch. Neither typically apply any more pressure fwd than the talls but can create a mismatch like Fritsch did vs cats.
  23. Most AFL talking heads must only watch the highlights of most wc games, Nic Nat is always in them but if you watch the games he has always had large chunks when he goes missing. To me he has always been the most overrated player in the competition. Has way to many deficiencies in his game to be in the top echelon of players
  24. Interesting to see if the north vs dees dees goes ahead next week, north might have to do 2 weeks quarantine. Feels like a repeat of the Essendon game last year
