Get it done, bombers need inside mids perhaps we can trade one of ours as a direct swap. Sparrow and a pick or a Brayshaw / Viney

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BEN BROWN
Garbo replied to Dee tention's topic in Melbourne Demons
I’d look at doing a tmac straight swap, both on big coin both not playing both could do with a fresh start -
Until we can get more pressure from our fwds we won’t ever be better than average, Brown, Hunt, ANB, Weid, Fritsch, Melk and Spargo had a total of 2 tackles between them and only 1 inside. 50. As a team we had 4 tackles inside 50 for the whole game. Pickett with 2 tackles had as much as them combined. This team is going no where fast unless this improves massively
-
Knew I was hoping for to much for saints to fold, there is only one team that would fold in this sort of game.
-
It’s only about 50 points to make it up, assuming GWS did win by 3 goals, just means we have to beat bombers by 5, not out of the question if you know what is needed going in. Just to add this is basically the reverse of what happened in 2017
-
if he can get his body right then hes worth keeping on, he is young enough to have time on his side
-
Time for Goodwin to go something clearly isn’t right and he is at the centre of it. Wonder if the reason we didn’t take AFL money this year was so we can sack Goodwin if need be
-
Any chance we sack Goodwin before next year. I was happy to give the benefit of the doubt after last year but this does it for me, need to throw everything at Clarkson
-
Because we are a side show and everyone other than Melbourne supporters sees it
-
What’s the point we won’t be winning against anyone else in
-
If Harmes, Brayshaw and Jones are out what other general mids do we have to come in. AVB is the only one I can think of?
-
in Hibberd, Pickett, Bennell, baker out McDonald, anb, Wagner, Smith Goodwin seriously needs to get it in his head that not every player has to be a body on the line head over the ball, we need skilful players to who can spot and hit targets, while it would be good if players could be both we need to make some compromises and fine a balance
-
One has to question why we just bombed the ball fwd for the whole first half, completely headless stuff we reverted back to what we were doing at the start of the year. Why would they do that makes absolutely zero sense but seemed to be a conscious decision.
-
Also requires you to use your brain and play the conditions
-
One assist to papley
-
Looks windy trac just said it’s going to one end
-
Hurts us, basically guarantees pies a spot in the 8 if they win 1 more. One less spot up for grabs by those fighting to get in Just to add Expect in 2 weeks, dees gws and saints will all be on 9 wins with only % separating us. With one sitting 9th
-
Fritsch, Bedford and Hunt/Jetta in Picket, Hannan and Hibberd (managed) out I don’t like Wagner ball in hand I just don’t trust him, but probably did enough to earn another game
-
Not with the dogs loss last night, we still have a game in hand, they have a bye next week and we play swans, in all likelihood we will be in the 8 at the conclusion of round 15 win or loose today
-
They still have played one more game than us and we have the superior % so long as we win as many games as they do we still finish ahead of them
-
Tmac and harmes aren’t in the best 22 right now and sparrow is about as fringe as you can get. I think Brown for tmac would be an upgrade from what tmac has shown
-
Good news is we are winning despite being way off our best, if we can get through the next qtr without being to far down then we should get them in the last with the wind and out superior fitness, think we have only lost one last qtr all year
-
Looks quite windy dees need to take that into account when kicking not try to pin point a target, run and carry would be my suggestion
-
The big thing hogan offered besides goals and which none of our current key fwds offer was his up field play, he had a great tank and was arguably more valuable playing as a link player on the wing who could go fwd and create a mismatch. I feel he could play in a team which already has Weid and Jackson, probably taking Melksham or Tomlinsons spot
-
English likes to drift fwd to create a miss match , something to keep an eye on The main area exposed last week v Grundy was the pies ease at getting it out of the centre clearance, if Preuss can halve that this week we should be fine
