PREGAME: Rd 04 vs West Coast
4 smalls fwds doesn’t go into 3 and Chandler can’t be dropped after that so it’s out of ANB and Spargo as stiff as that may be on one of them. Nothing silly like dropping Brown for Pickett will happen if Brown is injured another tall will come in. Pickett also can’t play the minutes in the mid to replace Sparrow or Jordan either so I’d say they are safe as well. Tough week for the selection committee

Disappointing dogs bring effort and can do this to lions and we dish up what we did last week.

PREGAME: Rd 03 vs Sydney
All preseason we were playing schache as 2nd ruck if Gawn or Grundy wasn’t taking part in the sims, I’d say it’s almost certain he will come in and play that role now. If not for making to many changes at once I’d be bring in Vanrooyen for Tmac next week anyway. Along with Schache for Gawn and May for Tomlinson

Kysaiah Pickett on report
Key word there is minimum, they might have better luck arguing it wasn’t front on but side on and therefore that doesn’t need to apply and it can be downgraded to low

POSTGAME: Match SIM vs St. Kilda
I was most interested in Hunter and Grundy. I’m extremely happy with Hunter really put his best foot forward, if he plays like that he will be a great pickup, Grundy on the other hand left a lot to be desired. Looks unfit. Not sure how him and Gawn were ever considered equals the difference is so stark. I just hope this isn’t representative of what to expect. Great also to see a fit Tmac really makes a difference when he is isn’t hampered by injury. If he can stay fit it will go a long way to us going deep in September. Main takeaway is the team looks fit and ready to hit the ground running come round 1. Looks like they all want redemption for the way last year ended.

Kozzy Pickett Re-Signs for 4 Years
After the Jackson saga last year I don’t have much faith Kozzie will be sticking round. He already has a new contract offer from dees in front of him for a while now, if he hasn’t signed yet it’s unlikely he will. Only question is when do dees start blooding a replacement rather than putting more games into another teams player as of 2024.

Kade Chandler Elevated to Senior List
The new 23rd man now Bedford is gone. Or will that be 24th now the bench might get got extended 😀 Hopefully he can get a few more chances this coming year.

Do the Dees have the pieces to make another premiership tilt?
We are in mix but how much improvement is left in our mid and back, to win another the difference will need to come up fwd.

We cannot draft again from WA
At least they are making it known, nothing worse than when the player says what the recruiters want to hear then turns round a year or 2 later. I think north would like a redo of last years draft if Francis was up front.

Farewell Brodie Grundy
Well it’s something the clubs agree to as part of the trade, it probably won’t ever be publicly confirmed what the exact terms are by either club so you won’t ever see something offical one way or the other. Up to you who you want to believe in the media as it will be speculated about to no end and certainly some would have legit sources. All we have officially is Pies saying they would pay upto 300k per year prior to the trade period but who know what stings came with that and if we used that as just a starting point.

Farewell Brodie Grundy
Think it’s front loaded but over the whole contract, ie 350 year one and 150 by year 5
