Harmes then May?

'Drive to Survive', the newly release F1 doco series on Netflix sheds a lot of light on Ricciardo's move and the broader tension between RB and Renault - well worth a watch. Cannot recommend it highly enough!

Dees to take on Pies in Scratch Match (22/2/19)
rolling fog replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
I wouldn't be getting my hopes up for any big names getting much game time, let alone included. I'd be more curious to see how both sides have adapted to the new rule changes - 6-6-6, prior opportunity in the ruck, kicking in from a behind and also no team runners! I had a day off work all planned out - then the boss booked a mandatory 9am meeting on Friday.... -

Throw in Goody and Chaplin to the extras group as well - having just gone for a lap around the tan post-session -
I was talking to someone over Christmas who would know, they seemed to indicate there was a calf issue, but then again they didn't even know for certain... I agree completely with everything already said around that we're not exactly entitled to know everything that's going on - but it definitely speaks to the manner in which MFC communicates these things

Demons Grand Plan for Yarra Park Training HQ
rolling fog replied to Wiseblood's topic in Melbourne Demons
We all do mate. This is one of the last, and most critical, pieces in the puzzle to becoming an elite high-performing operation. I look at what Cricket Victoria have done with Junction Oval - and I know that there's always politics and timing that get in the way of these things - but wow, what a missed opportunity that was! Even the bloody Saints are now getting their act together back in Moorabbin! -
Saw this widely reported as well - which as a general rule, when it comes to fixturing, means it's fairly probable ...but this would also be great! Would like to see this become a regular fixture too. I think we can expect maybe one Thursday night and I would hope Travis Auld took note of our August and particularly September crowds in rewarding us with some prime time slots. And on a side note, please no more Carlton Friday nights FFS!

Demons Grand Plan for Yarra Park Training HQ
rolling fog replied to Wiseblood's topic in Melbourne Demons
The impression I got from GB's B&F speech was that they were close to securing an alternative site, not in Yarra Park. This isn't based on anything just what I read between the lines in the speech -
I think Jesse's foot is a lot worse than has been speculated thus far. He was out of contract at the end of 2019 and would've needed to negotiate a new deal and/or entertain offers from rival clubs, potentially at a time where the full extent of his navicular injury has come to light. There is definitely an element of Jesse making hay while the sun is still up for him in the sense that he can satisfy all the other off field elements he was after, whilst absorbing a bit of a haircut to his $ and years. This is not THE reason but A reason for this trade for mine

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - STEVEN MAY
rolling fog replied to DemonLad5's topic in Melbourne Demons
He just did a live cross for The Trade Table on Ch.9 - must admit that I was pleasantly surprised with his attitude towards the trade. Seems like he feels the need to prove himself all over again which is healthy. He's a massive wrap on Goody - sounds like a sit down with him is what convinced him to come to the MFC -
FMD Dodoro did a deal

Their members for a start, potential future players and their respective managers, let alone players they already have on their list. Thanks also for re-iterating my thoughts in the end
-
Probably, hopefully.

How much of this is now just the so-called 'optics'? Geelong need to be seen to be playing hardball and not rolling over. They know they have a captive buyer for Kelly and he is dead set on getting back to Perth one way or another and will inevitably make it back west. So they need to be seen to take full advantage of the situation. If Kelly leaves in a year's time (along with Gary) Geelong is cactus and their midfield cupboard is bare, ex-Dangerwood.

Odds on Dodoro squibbs the Shiel trade
-
Lloyd has absolutely no idea. Not a single thing he has gone with as 'fact' has eventuated so far this trade period
-
I'd back Mahoney in
-
The purple headed warrior is reporting that Fagan is in Perth personally attempting to seal the Neale deal. Could still be more to play out yet

Told myself that there's no [censored] way I'm staying for this! And yet here I am...

Bravo DA!

Hoges as a defender? Pert's feet are barely under the desk and match committee is already leaking
-
Tony 'two phones' needs a win as much as anyone this trade period
-
Jesse is back in Perth now. Interesting to see what, if anything, develops over the next couple of days

Regardless of mail Fremantle and Peter 'tinker' Bell seem to be butchering everything they put their minds to so far this trade period. The potential Neale trade looks like it could fall through this week
