Oliver needs to shave his entire head and start again.

POSTGAME: Rd 1 vs Port Adelaide
Roughly our best 10-11 players are Gawn, Oliver, Brayshaw, Viney, May, Lever, Tom McDonald, Jetta, Salem, Harmes, and Melksham. Hibberd's fallen away a bit. A couple didn't play and of the rest only Salem and to and Melksham could hold their head high. It's hard to win games of footy when your best players don't show up. They matched us in the contest and were far better on the outside. In fact, they often outnumbered us around the contest, which is usually our one wood. Obviously, a lot of players are underdone. It's not cut your wrist time, but there looks like there might be some challenges early on.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - MARTY HORE
Does it ever occur to you that you overthink things ? The guy isn't playing midfield where you need to be an aerobic beast. He needs to get stronger in the position he plays so he can stand his ground in contests, body up, and make tackles stick. He's never going to become so muscle bound that he can't cover the ground.

Casey v Box Hill - Practice Game on Sunday
So far today I've seen Preuss (tick), Pruess, Pruce, and Preuse.

Changes vs Geelong Rd 2
The sooner Bedford or Chandler show that they're ready for a call up the better. We need the pressure and zip provided by those types of players. If they're good enough, of course.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - MARTY HORE
Hore needs more strength and kgs. There's ability, but physically he's not ready.

Changes vs Geelong Rd 2
If true it's not good. But nothing has been confirmed by the club, so at this stage it's just hearsay.

Changes vs Geelong Rd 2
Same and supposedly surgery isn't an option.

Changes vs Geelong Rd 2
Is it too late to phone Sydney ?

Changes vs Geelong Rd 2
Pruce, Pruess, why not Proose ? So, I know a long time Dees fan who usually gets pretty reliable info. He's heard there's a good chance vandenBerg will be out for the season. The two I'm most excited about coming in are May and Kolodjashnij. Kolodjashnij brings exactly what we need and what was missing yesterday, outside run and metres gained. Some nice finishing also wouldn't go astray. Will Kolodjashnij be ready ? How would I or anyone posting here know. But his endurance is one of the best in the club and the sooner he's in the better.

POSTGAME: Rd 1 vs Port Adelaide
Thankfully, we didn't have an interrupted preseason.

Lewis Out - Tom Sparrow In
I was there. He barely touched it. Kicked a nice goal.

Lewis Out - Tom Sparrow In
Shocked. He's looked a mile off.

PREGAME: Rd 01 vs Port Adelaide
With our injuries I thought Stretch would get a bench spot. He now knows where he is in the pecking order.

PREGAME: Rd 01 vs Port Adelaide
Our pace is fine. And they're debuting 4 kids. They'll be the side run off their legs.
-
Round 1 Team
I'd say it's an oversight. From what I've seen Sparrow is a mile off.

Playing Preuss will weaken the side. I can't imagine Goodwin will want to do that.

Isn't that what I inferred ?

Round 1 Team
Not enough people have said this. It needs more.

Preuss won't be selected. If they were going to play Gawn and Preuss they would have trialed it in the JLT. The fact that he was training with the mids is irrelevant. What else do you expect him to do at training ?

Was it poor to leave Smith on when he'd clearly injured his groin ? Sure. Would he have most likely have missed games even if he didn't come back on ? By the way he was hobbling I suspect it wouldn't have mattered much.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
His body language was one of the biggest non issues I think I've seen in football.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Firstly, I said ''I won't try and second guess Hogan's issues''. I made no reference to mental health or the reasons we traded Hogan. I merely said have faith that Goodwin makes the right decisions for the MFC. So the assumptions you've made about my post are incorrect. Not new for you. Now let me add this... I'll hypothesize, but not in regards to Hogan. Let's say a player at the MFC (not Hogan) had mental health issues. And let's say he was causing the club off-field grief and had for some time. In the club's view this player could be traded for his and the club's benefit. I FULLY support trading that individual. My concern is for the club and its ongoing search for success. I'm far more interested in what is right for the club over an individual and I'll support the club's decision. Now, at the risk of hurting your safe space, I'll further add that I reserve my ''feelings'' for friends and family. I'm not overly perturbed by the issues confronting someone I've never met and don't know, other than I hope they recover from anything that ails them, as I would any member of society.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
He was my favourite Demon player, as evidenced by the 1313 no. in my bio, so I wish him well. I won't try and second guess what his issues are, but once again I applaud the club on making the trading decision they did. If you've doubted some of Goody's decisions I suggest you start having some faith.
