I'm devastated we have a bloke with a man bun on the list.

Goodwin signs on until end of 2022
Did I read that Goodwin's status rose on "6 good games" ? Sometimes I wish I could say what I really think. I'm with you. I would never give any coach longer than three years. It's completely unnecessary.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - MARTY HORE
Can't help mate. Other than when Casey is on TV, I haven't watched VFL footy for a while. Looks good from the footage though. They wouldn't bring him in if they didn't think his upside was regular AFL footy.

Jack Watts is disappointed he's left the club.

Labor is hopeless, the Greens are insane, and the Liberals are pathetic. Great choices.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - KADE KOLODJASHNIJ
Angus Brayshaw showed some really promising signs in his first year (2015). Due to injuries and concussion issues his next two years were disappointing. He lost his aggressive attack on the footy and just didn't look the same promising player. Demon Andrew, or whatever he's now called, potted him every second week. When he finally got some confidence and continuity in his game and was played in his best position (on-ball) he shone. You don't lose your natural talent. I'm looking forward to seeing what Kolodjashnij can do with confidence in his body. At 23 he's the perfect age to come to the club.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - KADE KOLODJASHNIJ
The difference between Kolodjashnij and the Viv Michies of this world is that Kolodjasnij was a genuine top 10 talent. At 190cm with good speed and a lovely left foot kick there are already AFL attributes for a club with good development to work with. Judging Kolodjashnij on any output in 2018 on the back of concussion issues and the demotivating workplace that was the Gold Coast Suns isn't the smartest reasoning. The fact that he came second in the 2015 B&F behind Ablett in just his second year shows his high level talent. His Brother, who wasn't considered to be as talented as him and went at a pick in the 40s, just finished 8th in Geelong's B&F. I reckon Kolodjashnij is a great get by the club and I'm very confident he can become an important player.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - STEVEN MAY
I don't mean to offend, but reading Frost on a wing suggestions is the ultimate *facepalm moment for me. He's a behind the ball player and that's it. He doesn't have the smarts or skills to play anywhere else.

I agree @Fifty-5. The ball is in Jones' court. He's been pushed out of the midfield, so his challenge is to show his worth in a new role. He's safe for 2019. Beyond that I'm not so sure. But it's up to him.

You (and others) talk of "culture and mindset" yet many of you wanted to keep Watts. A quarter-dedicated joker. Learn to analyse what actually happens on a footy field. The game gives up its secrets if you watch carefully enough without rose coloured glasses. It's a harsh game and it's very easy to detect those who give half-hearted efforts. Much easier if you're at the game rather than watching on TV.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
He also played very well against the Giants in round 23 and was good against West Coast in round 22. Weideman averaged the 11th most contested marks for the season for players with at least 10 games. It might not be enough for you, but it's enough for me. He's 21 and miles off his peak. His upside is enormous.

Andrew Brayshaw
Off the ball scuffles or the odd tackle don't demonstrate much. Put vandenBerg, Viney, or Oliver 2 metres from a loose ball, equal distance apart and win that footy. That tells me if you're tough. You usually don't go pick 2 unless you can play, so I'm more than happy to reunite them if he's good enough.

Andrew Brayshaw
I always thought Angus was a really hard at the body player from the get go and don't recall any moments of hesitation. But I could be wrong.

Andrew Brayshaw
I saw when you posted it. You tend to become fixated with a view based on a small body of evidence. You then run with it as fact. When you have a large body of material to work with I reckon you nail it better than most.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - STEVEN MAY
Yeah, nah. We targeted May, because we had a weakness in the backline that kind Freddy could see. Mahoney acknowledged this in his SEN interview. Our 2019 backline (when Lever's back) will be the best I've seen following the Dees (memory early 70s). Let's give it a go, shall we.

Andrew Brayshaw
I've twice seen Andrew squib incidents this year, but he's a first year player, so you cut him slack. One was a really bad moment. He may turn out to be a star but I didn't see a lot to be overly enthused by. Cerra on the other hand...

Andrew Brayshaw
You overthink things.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Incorrect. It has since come out that Hogan said in his exit interview he was hoping to explore the option of returning home. He then had a coffee with Goodwin a week, or so, later and they both agreed to try and make it happen. These facts are at odds with the poster in questions assertions.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - KADE KOLODJASHNIJ
The stat I really liked was in his second year and pre injury issues he averaged the most metres gained for the Suns and 13th most in the competition. It's just the player we need.
-
Farewell Jesse Hogan
It's peanuts like you who would have carried on like a stuck pig when we gave up pick 3 and slid pick 13 to 20 when he was an unproven 17 year old. You would have been beside yourself and carrying on like a pork chop. You, and your like, are the great spectators who never have anything on the line. How easy it is.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - KADE KOLODJASHNIJ
Mahoney on Kolodjashnij: “We are confident his concussion issues are over and we have seen our own success with that with Angus Brayshaw and Neville Jetta who have had concussion issues over the last couple years.” “We are confident with that. Through our midfield, we think we need more run, we need someone who can play a legitimate role on the wing and halfback." “Our recruiting team loved Kade when he got drafted five years ago and to be able to bring him in, we know he can play those positions. “We think he is a really good addition for us in the midfield.”

Only one Carlton player remonstrated. And it was a half-hearted token effort.
