  1. Exactly right, reason I haven't posted any input
  2. They have already had it done a couple of weeks ago, think they get the Hun to hold until after the Family Day, they usually hand them out. big part of the kids getting them signed by the players
  3. I think Roos will give them both a go in the NAB Cup, Petracca told me he is getting used to the training loads, still trying to get his weight stabilised, Brayshaw managed to lose 2k through Gastro in the last couple of weeks, missed a chunk of last week, think he wanted to impress today, absolutely shattered he lost the goal kicking comp to Nathan Jones, wouldn't tell me what the 'prize'' was
  4. Nah, we all see different things, if you can debate them in a civilised way it makes for excellent reading...9 is Vandenberg by the way, Tyson wears a bloody cap and is hard to pick out, orange laces in white boots is him and in 12
  5. Agree but I want 22 'dangerous' kicks, so does Roos
  6. That's Vandenberg, found out they are last years training jumpers, for some reason the new ones are not here yet, so he and Jeff Garlett don't have their number
  7. Clint, this is what I am waiting to see, Salem, Toumpas, Jetta, Cross, Matt Jones, they are all good neat kicks, if they can hit an option in a dangerous position that will make them a dangerous kick, roll on the NAB Cup and we will get a chance to see, the example of the Jetta to Garlett kick I mentioned before is hopefully is a sign of things to come
  8. I spoke to another couple of supporters today, we all agree Matt Jones will have to play himself 'out' of the team
  9. Yes agree Brayshaw was good today, but just think it's great and leads to good debate that we disagree on Petracca I am afraid to say Kent is catching up in the manlove stakes with Nev and Jeff Garlett, he is back in big way
  10. One thing I don't do, we don't have Smith or Hill so I don't compare, only interested in what Toumpas can do in the games, agree if he stops and thinks about it, completely different player, we have both highlighted where he did it today. McCartney had a word in the next break which is what a good development coach should do Bail was Bail up and down the ground linking up, same as Matt Jones Grimes and Lumumba were both solid today
  11. That's what they have him practicing Daisy, Roos has got him doing that, it is good to see, only saw him take the wrong option once today and yes that is when he stopped to think about it, think it was McCartney who had a word in the next break. One pleasing thing today which I didn't mention was to see Hogan and Petracca in a break taling, pointing etc, obviously discussing running patterns, Hogan did it with JKH as well They do have the bail out ball to the goal square, they call it, so the forwards know to get there. A sweet move today, Garlett was on the left side of the 50, Nev Jetta was coming down the right wing, didn't see any motioning but Nev kicked down the right into space, Garlett arrived at least 3 metres ahead of his marker and took it cleanly on the run
  12. Think he didn't handle the heat today OD, some of the matchups that happened during the drills were amusing, JKH and Spencer at one stage, JKH ran away from him surprisingly...
  13. No his disposal was really good, they do have the bail out ball into the goal square he utilised a couple of times, he has a decent kick on him when he is on the run
  14. Yes but that is what we should be practicing, he also does miles of running to get the ball. I was on the AAMI park side of the ground for the match sim most of the time, in the last session apart from the first 5 mins, the skills from everybody were very good, I think you are nitpicking slightly, the moments that got Roos expasperated involved Tyson and Cross rather than the usual suspects
  15. He was playing wing/halfback mostly I forgot to put Kent in my best as well, he was very good today
  16. I agree, my opinion formed by didn't see Spencer miss a target with a kick, Matt Jones was just really good, opinion shared with two other supporters I chatted to,, didn't see the McKenzie incident(S) and was going to put Pedersen amongst the best performers but didn't Roos wants a bit of everything in all players, Chris Salem just said he felt he needed work with one on oneThink Fitzy has a bit of back tightness, he was still running at full pace, as I say ultra cautious these days
  17. I assume you must have been watching a different training from me then this morning Vince, Watts, White, Hunt, Howe, Neal Bullen, Fitzpatrick, Garland all did some sort of rehab wo Missing Trengove, King and Riley Standouts for me today were Jones x 2, Michie, Cross, Garlett Frost, Brayshaw and Petracca who had an even better session today than last week, complimented him after and he said "that's what I am aiming for, to improve every session" The one on one work that we keep seeing Salem do is at his request, feels it is an area of his game that needs work, has no idea where he will be playing, Roos has not discussed with him Coaching - after two poor options and the ball going to ground, Roos pulled up in the drill and in a voice everybody could here said (this is to get past the censor) "that's farken scheizenhausen", they had another match sim at the end of the session that went for 20 minutes, the first 5 when this occurred was ordinary but after the spray, the next 15 was really good Somebody said Nathan Jones had a bit of a knock, didn't stop him winning the goal kicking comp against Brayshaw at the end, with a very over the top celebration, much to the few still there amusement, Jeff Garlett wears 33 because the jumpers they are training in are last years, this years still to be delivered. Any questions feel free.
  18. Pig, he doesn't need skill work, but he has done miles and miles in laps, think they are just getting him right for one the NAB cup games ... or at least that is what he told me...maybe wishful thinking
  19. They are working on it Clint, now his shoulders are fully functional he is doing a bit more weights, he knows he needs to be stronger, they just don't want him bigger, so as I have mentioned before it is an individual progam for him
  20. It is a personal opinion, Newton had a poor session at Goschs a couple of weeks ago. so did Brayshaw, probably an off day, McKenzie, Dawes JKH and Terlich (since he came out of rehab) have been good to really good in the sessions I have watched (which are quite a few)
  21. I have covered the Fitzy size issue previously, he is now 99kg it is just spread out over 200cm, they don't want him any bigger
  22. Nah, sorry chap, one of the best athletes at the club, doesn't look it when he drags himself across the other field at Goschs, always one of the last to arrive, but does everything asked without breaking a sweat some times, and then drags himself back again, in the match sims he just glides around, think we tend to forget he has been around quite a while, played over a hundred games, seasoned professional and knows how to get through pre season...going offline for a couple of days, will drop a report from Fridays training, late on Friday
  23. I was eating lunch, whilst reading this, actually BBO may like this, I live in Collingwood but eat in a café on Victoria St, today we had a fully tattooed gentleman in muscle singlet and baggy denim shorts and a rather fetching pair of bright red high heels and matching lipstick, the joy of inner city livng
  24. I'll do a 22 as of today, and just 22, and those fully fit as of today, and what I have seen at training Dunn, Frost, McDonald, Grimes, Lumumba Jetta Jamar, Jones x 2, Tyson, Cross, McKenzie Hogan, Dawes , Gawn, Kent, JKH, Garlett Toumpas, Salem, Newton, sub:Petracca Dawes won't be there Rd 1 so Pedersen Garland if fit replaces Frost who goes to the bench, meaning one of Salem or Toumpas would drop off If Watts and Vince are fit, would have to have a rethink And so it goes on
  25. My thoughts are like a lot of others at the moment, we seem to have so manyy fit and so many options, I want to see the NAB Cup. Every time I try and do a 22, I find I have left somebody out that I think should be in. Toumpas has been training really well, and with Roos I think adopting a clean slate at the start of each season, it is up to each player to play themselves in or out of the team
