  1. After watching Lever life most of this year I think its a fair trade, maybe slightly overs but that's life.
  2. Ive been watching paint dry for the last 2 days, this has been more interesting than trade period.
  3. What do you mean? As Wiseblood was saying we are not giving up Pick 27 in this scenario. The articles quotes: " The Demons are looking at parting with two first-round draft picks – this year's and next year's – and receive Lever and draft picks back from Adelaide." We get Pick 18/19 assuming Cameron goes to Brisbane. We basically drop 8 spots in this draft and potentially gain a 2nd rounder for Watts and 27. Its not all bad.
  4. Think your being a bit over the top here. If this trade does come through we only lose 8 spots in this draft and you can tell me the talent gap is that big from 10 to 18. Trading next years first is a risk but if it gets us the best young defender in the comp I can live with that.
  5. I rather see him go into the PSD and head somewhere else if they dont accept 10 and 27. Hes a good player but hes not worth two 1st's, even Dangerfield was not traded for two 1st.
  6. I had a lot of respect for Leigh Matthews before I read this: https://www.fiveaa.com.au/sport/What-The- Adelaide-Crows-Should-Demand-For-Jake-Lever What The Adelaide Crows Should Demand For Jake Lever Oct 6, 2017 The Adelaide Crows should settle for nothing less than the number one draft pick in this year’s draft for departing star Jake Lever, says Leigh Matthews. “He’s a proven player at 21,” Matthews told 3AW. “If pick 1 this year ends up being like Jake Lever, you’d be pretty happy. “I can’t work it out… The draft is a raffle.”
  7. What a bunch of sooks, typically Adelaide play the victim syndrome. No wonder I dont follow an Adelaide team.
  8. After his GF performance Walker cant exactly say much ATM. He made marshmellows look tough on the weekend. Dont be surprised if Channel 7 put this on a Friday night as well given they like to build up these things.
  9. I agree given Lever has decided on the Dees they have no other choice but to work out a trade with us. It seems that Adelaide's past history of losing players is really pissing them off and now are "using" Lever in making a statement about other players thinking of leaving in the future.
  10. I agree I cant believe they would not think that is not a fair offer. If the worst happens Id rather see him go to North for nothing than pay overs for him.
  11. Very good point. Unfortunately too many South Aussies here seem to forget that.
  12. I watch him play last week and he would have to be in the top 5, reminds me a lot of James Hird (yes dirty comparison i know) and can seriously play.
  13. There is no way the Crows will let him go into the PSD for nil return. You would take 10 and 27 over that any day of the week, plus they could easily on trade those picks to Carlton who should in theory accept that for Gibbs.
  14. I agree. I would only consider 2 first rounders if the include Galluci (2016 Adl first rounder) as part of the deal. Just as a side note its pretty amazing this thread is now approaching 2300 posts, we need more things to talk about!
  15. Yes they did however quality defenders seem to be a dime a dozen these days hence Levers trade value would be higher.
  16. Trengove will unfortunately be delisted and I cant see him returning to AFL; hence his trade value is effectviely voided in your scenario. Plus Adelaide would want a pick (2nd or 3rd rounder) in addition to losing Lever for Gibbs (he is 29 next year) who may only have a couple more years in him..
  17. All Adelaide media outlets are reporting that he is gone which means its actually happening. Where he ends up is another question.
  18. While i am not Tysons biggest fan he is worth more than receiving pick 38 in your scenario. I agree is worth an early 2nd rounder.
  19. Adelaide would be laughing in that trade.
  20. Watching him live he was impressive. Mind u the Giants were porridge.
  21. Then a 3 way trade with Carlton including an exchange of picks does make sense.
  22. Would be the ultimate irony if we drafted young Brayshaw, might bring his brother's game to another level.
  23. Surprised he wasnt previously look at in the draft given his current form. There must be a flaw (size, aerobic capacity, skills) that is holding him back.
  24. Also I doubt Frost attracted much interest from other clubs (particularly the Crows as they have many tall defenders) hence why is resigned.
