Farewell Luke Jackson
Second time heās shared contract news on his IG story, heās just done it with Gus and he did the same thing when Clarry re-signed. Could mean nothing and Luke is certainly a different cat, but it does seem a little odd if heās out the door.

Farewell Luke Jackson
My key takeaway from Goodyās presser is that heās gone from āconfidentā to āhopefulā a deal will be sorted out in the not too distant future. Itās not looking good to be honest. But Iāll still be glad we drafted him and remember LJās time at the Dees fondly irrespective of what happens from here.

NON-MFC: Round 15, 2022
[censored] Geelong. I guess it will all be worth it when they go to water in September again.

Farewell Luke Jackson
Alan Richardsonās comments on SEN today pointed towards Luke being more likely to stay than leave, although I wouldnāt be putting the house on it.

Farewell Luke Jackson
If thatās true then Freo are silly and Luke would be silly not to take the money. Heās a very good player already and turned the momentum in a Grand Final, but that kind of money should be reserved for a Lance Franklin or Dustin Martin type in their prime. Donāt think Luke is anywhere near that level yet and he may never get there.

NON-MFC: Round 9, 2022
So good to see Geelong lose again. That's 4 times now already in 2022, from memory they only lost 5 in total last year (H&A) and that included the Gawn game and they still sucked in the finals. The cliff is coming for them.

Steven May on On The Couch
He could easily play a Hibberd or even Salem-style role after he starts to slow down. Mid 30s for sure, injury permitting.

Steven May on On The Couch
He plays like the people who post in the Demonland gameday threads. Legend of the club.

POSTGAME: Rd 08 vs St Kilda
Kind of crazy to watch First Crack and look at Kingy's "Top 5". Four of the top five players in the league at the moment according to him play for us: Trac, Clarry, Gawn and May. Cripps is deservedly at 1. Before you say "It's just Kingy!"- Ross Lyon rattled off the exact same names in the exact same discussion last Sunday on Triple M. Unprecedented times we are living in. Make the most of them.

Farewell Luke Jackson
I distinctly remember Goody saying he was "very confident" Weideman would stay last year when it seemed highly unlikely that he would. Very encouraged by his response in today's presser re. Dogga.

Steven May monstered Max King once again.

NON-MFC: Round 07, 2022
Glorious to see the Cats lose. I think thereās enough evidence to say theyāre not a top 4 side this year. Good, if we arenāt to win it this year then I donāt want them anywhere near it. Freo are the real deal though and quite a likable squad of blokes. Could be a nil all draw when we play them in a few weeks.

Farewell Luke Jackson
Ralphy has been reporting on his various platforms tonight that Jackson isnāt committed either way at this moment, but is close to his family in WA and the Eagles are preparing to make a swoop. The longer it drags on the less likely he is to stay IMO. But West Coast will probably have pick 1 or 2 this year, so weāll be well compensated if that actually happens.

POSTGAME: Rd 06 vs Richmond
Iām all for banking wins. But that was yuck to watch. Clayton Monster BOG by the length of the Flemington straight. Very happy for Weid again. The carnivore was breathing down his neck after the Casey game today, but Sammy took his opportunities and canāt be dropped now .

GAMEDAY: Rd 06 vs Richmond
Just goes to show how hard it is to win a flag. Kick like that in a prelim and thatās all she wrote. ANB, Spargo and Pickett hang your heads in shame. Still love you boys of course but you just canāt miss shots like that.

TEAMS: Rd 06 vs Richmond
Could it be maybe that TMac goes to the wing while JJ fills in for Viney? I seem to remember TMac was training for the wing role at one point, either this summer just gone or the one before.

TEAMS: Rd 06 vs Richmond
Surprised after all these years that there are people who still don't understand how Sunday squads work. Goody has actually done us a favour by naming JJ, Jackson, Harmes and Sparrow on the extended bench. Those 4 plus the starting 18 will be the team and we don't even need the usual 24 hours to speculate. Not sure what that means for TMac's role going forward, but Goody must prefer to have him in the 22 as some sort of Mr. Fixit rather than to omit him. I don't think the three amigos will work together in F50.

Farewell Luke Jackson
Thanks Dazzle. That's exactly the kind of injection this thread needed. Kind of strange reporting from Tom Browne - he says that Alan Richardson is confident of a deal being reached soon, but then seems to imply that he knows more information and that Richo and the club have got that wrong. Surely the club would be well aware of where the talks currently stand? If Jackson did sign through to free agency like he said, then it would be a 5 year deal and a fantastic result.

NON-MFC: Round 5, 2022
Literally enjoyed that more than Saturday night just about. [censored] the Cats. [censored] em. Looking forward to Chris Scott's delicious salty tears on 360 tonight.

POSTGAME: Rd 05 vs GWS
I'm more than happy just to bank the 4 points at this time of year, but that being said, welcome back Perth Dees. We have missed you. Kosi's third quarter goal will go criminally underrated. It's very rare to see that happen in a game of footy. And for good reason, it's simply incredible the amount of petrol tickets that guy is able to spend at one time. And then it was probably toppled by Sparrow's effort a short while later. In 2019, not only was I strongly opposed to drafting Luke Jackson, but I also called the Steven May trade a "bust". You guys should just put me on ignore.

CHANGES: Rd 05 vs GWS
Pretty sure that I was commenting on the tackle captured in the photo, so please disregard my initial commentary on the matter. Clearly Ben is a naughtier boy than I thought, two incidents in one game!
-
CHANGES: Rd 05 vs GWS
He got straight up to take his kick. Can only assume the doctor's report stitched Ben up or the VFL have a different set of rules to the MRO. You have to do some pretty bad damage to get two weeks in the AFL. By the way, there may be another incident I didn't catch (didn't watch the full game) - but knowing Ben Brown this tackle is highly likely to be the incident.
-
CHANGES: Rd 05 vs GWS
I saw the incident live. It was a coat-hanger tackle early on in the game. It was a clear free kick, and I thought a harsh judge could make a case for a fine or even a week, but two weeks for that?!? Seems outrageous to me. EDIT: Different incident my apologies!

NON-MFC: Round 4, 2022
No one in the media wants to say it so let me. JUH sucks.

NON-MFC: Round 4, 2022
No better sight in footy than a torp goal on the siren. The friendly exchange between ump and Riewoldt beforehand just adds to the theatre. Suffer Dogs.
