  1. I’m staggered we dropped BB ahead of Weid to begin with. A lot of revisionist history going on with Weid - apart from one good final many years ago and a couple of OK performances in the hub he’s been largely irrelevant. There’s also not many I’d have behind him to kick for my life. BB had 5 goals in 3 games largely in poor conditions and is a proven performer at AFL level. Happy to trust the coaches for any other calls but that one was a howler and I hope they amend it ASAP.
  2. It's a shame, that was one of the all time great games from Clarry. And yet a couple of cowards in yellow ruined it. Anyway we should never have let them get so close and I've never seen May and co play so badly.
  3. Still had more positive impact than Chandler.
  4. I get the notion of giving the young guys a few weeks to find their feet, but I rebut that in this instance where the guy's performance was a million miles off AFL standard. His statistics paint a pretty full picture. But that's not the end of it, despite being a midget he even got in Weid's way to fly for (and spill) a mark, nearly ruining a certain goal. I'm sure he's trying his best and would love to eat humble pie, but he's in the Baker basket for mine. Straight out. In fact, Baker's solitary game was brilliant compared to this. Also finally worked out how to put a Demonland member on ignore. Are we certain Dr.D isn't Brian Taylor?
  5. Starting to trust Petty.
  6. Carlton fans say McKay is “unstoppable” 1 on 1 and yet Steven May has won every single 1 on 1. What does that make May? Don’t care if he’s injured, May was bathing him well before it too.
  7. TMac and Ben Brown are absolutely elite in this area. As good as there's been in recent history. Can't think of too many players league-wide I'd have ahead of them to kick a set shot from 40 metres out. I feel like this continues to be an underrated part of footy. Imagine having not one but two key forwards who are virtual certainties to give you 6 points every time they have a shot within 50. Weid's goal kicking his highly overrated - there are days where he sprays them everywhere. Petracca, Oliver and Gawn are the stuff of nightmares and if we ever have to rely on them to win us a Grand Final after the siren I'll probably die of heart failure first.
  8. First glimpse of it and I’m already a big fan of the Tmac/Brown combination on the MCG. It’s pretty much a guaranteed goal if either take a mark inside forward 50 and that’s going to happen a lot with our game style on the big open spaces there. They’d be nearly 1 and 2 in the league for set shot accuracy. I didn’t just think TMac could kick that difficult snap from the boundary, I expected him to. And there it was, straight through the [censored] middle.
  9. Also loved Kozi's message to Trac after a ****ty HTB was paid against us (3rd quarter) and Trac started to complain to the umpire. "STFU now go defend!"
  10. I almost never put MFC games in my multi bets but Franklin for 2+ goals seemed like free money. Stupid sexy Mayzy.
  11. I’m pumped about the 7 years thing. Could never really get around Jesse in his prime years because of the Perth factor and that you always knew he would leave us one summer. No such drama with Trac. He’s ours baby. Also loving the way many MFC players have been instantly sharing contract news on their IG stories. Like they’re equally excited as us fans.
  12. I must admit I was judging all you biased fools who thought there was nothing in it on Sunday. I thought it was clearly a week. I’ll let myself out.
  13. I think it's conceivable we don't win yesterday without him. The impact he's having is absolutely phenomenal. I reckon he'll be AA. His field kicking is underrated too, he just doesn't miss a target. And honestly, at the time I really didn't understand why Goody and co were all smug and giddy in that 2019 draft video. Yes he looked promising and had a good highlights reel but we were essentially reaching for a guy that was expected to go in the second round and making out like they'd won the lottery. They knew.
  14. Man, anybody watching the Essendon v Carlton game? How bad is the commentary? I’ve had 3 pints and half a bottle of Pinot and have one eye only on the game, and even I could see that Betts kick was clearly a goal. And yet the Channel 7 commentators are saying it’s gone through for a point? Embarrassing. How are they getting paid for this?
  15. Has a 2nd year ruck EVER done this?
  16. That is seriously one of the best goals I've ever seen from Kozi in that quarter. Not overly flashy but the work rate was absolutely insane.
  17. For [censored] sake, just when the Cairns PTSD was starting to dissipate. Hobart re-enters the chat.
  18. If we play like that against a Top 4 side though......
  19. That was some unbelievable footy. Even if we lose from here, I've seen enough to be convinced we are legit. Jackson is sex. And 5 years for Salem was about 5 years too short.
  20. Firstly, absolute full credit to the Richmond staff for not only providing a good quality live stream, but even providing full stats and regular "player spotlight" updates for Casey players. Absolutely [censored] on our Casey coverage from a great height. We couldn't even send one [censored] dude out there to tell us how the MFC players were going earlier in the year. Lots to learn from the best in the business. Now, to the game. Ben Brown is exactly as I remembered him at North. Annoying. Umpires' pet. Accurate. [censored] good. It's very nice to know that he's ours now. Bowey has been very busy. Bedford will get games this year, he has fantastic work rate and pressure. Skills aren't the best but there's a clear role for him. Bratdke is still a million miles off. I wonder how long we'll persist?
  21. For some reason nobody ever talks about Salem? Not on here, not in the media, not anywhere. The guy is a very good player. 5 years is a long time at first glance but he also strikes me as somebody that will be just as good when he's 30 as he is now. All he relies on are good skills, a good footy brain and good upper body strength. Nothing too complicated nor anything that will diminish much with age. Fantastic news.
  22. I'm no medical expert but that has to be some kind of modern miracle for May to only miss one match. Absolutely delighted.
  23. First time watching AFL 360 in 2021, because I'd read on here that Goody was appearing, and probably the last. There were lots of interesting questions that could have been asked, that is after they finally acknowledged Goody's existence. How important is sentiment and culture and how important is form when thinking about Nathan Jones' 300th? How do you plan to squeeze Weideman and Ben Brown into the team? Will McDonald maybe go to a wing? What of Jackson? Will Fristch and May push for selection this week or are they more likely the week after? All these questions could have generated an interesting response but instead we got "Oh that Gawn's a good player isn't he?" "Oh that Petracca is pretty good too isn't he?" "Oh Dusty is a good player for Richmond too, imagine those two playing on each other..." Rubbish questions. At least "On the Couch" got some good responses from Jonesy and a classy AF tribute from Garry at the end. 360 was a complete waste of time.
  24. It’s insane how good he is for a 2nd year ruckman. Gawn didn’t break out until his 6th. One thing I’ve noticed about Jackson is that he’s very smart. For example, yesterday he “might” have dived on the ball and he was very aware of the need to get the ball out of the pack because of this. Might sound like a little thing but he does a lot of this stuff every week. It’s very rare for an athletic ruckman to have an elite midfielder’s brains. He may never be a great overhead mark but I don’t think he needs to be as he’s so good in other areas. If he does work it out then watch out.
